Plus requests are ALWAYS just that. Unless you NEED to book an accessible room (which most likely would have a King bed), they will not guarantee you a king bed. If that is a deal-breaker, you'd need to change to a Moderate, which would allow you to book King as a category.

There are accessible rooms with 2 queens. I have one booked for November. I think before the renovations most if not all accessible rooms were king or king/rollaway double. Now there is a mix of king beds and queen/murphy queen. Touring Plan room types have not been updated since the renovations. I have no idea what to request since I don’t know what buildings the queen/queen accessible are in.

I think they were responding to a post that read as if they wanted double beds rather than queen beds.

It's also quite possible it has always been 2 beds but it was mis-labeled on Touring Plans' maps. Wouldn't be the first time.

I'm confident that is the case.

Beautiful!! There is hardly any rain and temperatures are in the mid 70’s. At least this is the case every time I have been there.

Since you're the OP, I think there is some confusion. All rooms come with a queen bed + a Murphy queen bed. Unless you want a king room, which will have a king sized bed. So all rooms on property, minus the king rooms will have two beds.

Regarding the room, there is also a map of the rooms on the pop renovation thread here and it has all “22” rooms listed as Kings. Though I am not sure where that map info came from. I figured between the two sources it was a King room pre-Reno and changed with the update. Either way I will email touring plans to let them know. I hadn’t even thought to do that, so thanks for the suggestion!

Kay, here is a picture of the renovated room with the queen and Murphy bed - as others have pointed out it a two bed room. We stayed in one of these rooms as a family of four, no problem.

I posted in that thread but didn’t think to mention the discrepancy. I was given the room number before we could check in and went to look at what the view was on touring plans and had a mild panic attack when I saw king bed (we were 2 adults and 2 kids). But when we got in it had the queen and Murphy bed. It was room 6422.

Hey! I've taken a closer look at the room map and I believe it is correct and the layout of room 6422 was always 2 beds. It's confusing and I believe the person who created the map did their best to explain it although that was not an easy task. Tough for us to interpret too!!

Based on this bit of the room map, re: room 6422, it is in what they refer to as Building type 'S' (70's building 6); a room that ends in '22' but also on the 4th floor. I interpret the information below to be that only floors 1-3 of this building in a room that ends in '22' are King beds and the 4th floor was always 2 beds.

Would you agree?

Well our perfection this trip took a stumble. They told me to check back at the desk today to make sure we have the same room all trip (2 back to back stays). Well we don’t. The lady said I should have told someone and I pointed out every single person I talked to told me they linked the reservations. I almost cried. Well the 15’s are checking in that day and they are going to be in the lake side part of 60’s. Even if I wanted to be their neighbor (and I don’t) I couldn’t stay there. She told me we will be in building 3. First floor. I quickly started packing this morning before Epcot early entry. We will leave around dinner to finish up. They will move our stuff tomorrow. I’m over being sad and ok with it now. They gave me a front office business card that is supposedly an actual pop phone number. If you want me to post I will but I dont want people to abuse it. As a side note - the groups of 15’s that we have seen both at resort and in the parks are much smaller numbers and very polite and quiet. They have not bothered us at all. Not the massive herds of the past. Of course their full numbers aren’t quite here yet.

So, I guess that goes back to touring plans just having the wrong info, which according to some here is not surprising. I will email them so they can update the info.

If they both win enough matches, they would play each other on July 10. It’s frankly not looking good for Argentina to get that far.

Oh, I'm so sorry you have to move, especially after going to such lengths to request a continual stay.

We were at Pop in Jan when the 15's were there and in the same building as them. In spite of seeing their groups gathering in number upwards of 50+, I can say they were nothing but respectful and kind. Zero trouble at all! Hope your experience is the same!

LOL - I'm having trouble gathering information about a little less than 3,000 rooms at Pop alone. I can't imagine the HUGE task it is keeping up with all the Disney resorts!! I am thankful for the information TP provides as for the most part I find it accurate and when it's not they are thankful for any updated information provided to them.

If Argentina gets past France they better hope Portugal takes out Uruguay because I don’t see them being able to get past them!

I can only imagine the undertaking it must be! Kudos to you for taking the time to gather and organize all the information.
And as for TP, I think they provide a great service, and was happy to pay the $15 or whatever it was for all the information and resources they provide. I agree for the most part they are very accurate.

I like being around "excitement" and we have huge rivalries in the US like Alabama v. Auburn and Michigan v. Ohio State,but Brazil and Argentina take it to a WHOLE other level!lol

I can only imagine the "interaction" between the Argentina 15s and the Brazil 15s before,during and after a Semifinal in the WORLD CUP!lol

So perhaps we will see you around Pop? I’m super excited to see these new rooms. Pop has always been our go to resort for “bonus” trips and it’s been years since we have been there (or WDW for that matter)
