Which sapphire so you have?

@anita46 I'd go with CIP personally

Disney $1533.60
UCT $1392.69

CIP through UCT earn 4178 pts worth $52.23 and save $140.91

Even if you maxed your Freedom Q3 on this I don't think you'd touch the UCT savings. Outside of that probably wouldn't consider the others unless you're trying to meet a spend

Great! thanks @amalone1013
I'll use CIP
Thanks for running the #s for me!

I would also look at purchasing Disney gift cards at Walgreens with your CF at 5x to use for bridging.

We live close to several Lockheed martin's and they are big on the 4-10 or 9/80 schedules. So then other places in the area do it too since it's so common in the community. My dh has only had two employers in the 20 years we've lived here and he had the 9/80 schedule at both. He's spoiled. It's wonderful!
We have the option for 4-10 or 5/4/9. Either DH or I do it but maybe if he is able to get 2nd telework day added, it might be an option. We typically commute into work together and then DS’s pick-up is at 3:05 pm from school. Although, Baltimore traffic is so much easier at 2:30 pm than at 4:30 pm.

Is the 5/4/9 the same as a 9/80? The traffic situation can really get complicate being able to do those type of schedules. It only works for my dh because he works about 10 mins away :) I just smh when he complains about the traffic lol.

Maybe? It’s federal gov’t lingo meaning 8 9 hr days, 1 8 hr day and one day off every two weeks. Yeah, we’re 40 min without traffic and 1-1:30 hours with traffic. So the traffic is killer. Sometimes the worst traffic is just trying to get through the lights through my small town.

Yup, that is the same!

Dang, I am so jealous. I'd love my kids to have that schedule. And I totally agree with you on the classroom thing. Frankly, in regards to parent schedules, I couldn't care less. School isn't daycare.

Sorry, not to go OT, but as a working mom this seems rather harsh! But, I'm in KS and don't think this will be happening any time soon so don't think I need to worry.

So, I finally got that MC GC spent. I had to call 8-9 times. Apparently no one ever activated it!?! Even though I asked on every call where they told me it was 'ready to spend', if the card was activated. I asked that of three different people, and all said yes. When it wasn't...I'm so done with those cards. No more for me :sad2:

Yeesh you guys have been busy today! Made it to my horse show with only a slight delay in ATL this morning. We flew on what looked like a new A320 to ATL that was really nice. After we left our Hilton hotel this morning I sent a message on the app saying that our shower was taking 30 minutes to drain. I got a call about an hour ago from the manager of the hotel to apologize and let me know that he had checked it and had taken the room out service. He verified that I paid with points (20k) and told me he was going to refund me 10k for my trouble. I thought that was more than fair and thanked him for being so attentive! Definitely appreciate the prompt customer service, especially since I’ve never heard back from the Hilton Anaheim.

I also realized what a churning win this trip is. DH’s round trip flight was free, but that was from a previous work trip getting canceled and he had a balance on his Delta account for that amount (really don’t know how that worked, but whatever). DH has enough Delta miles for me to fly free round trip. The Marriott we’re staying in is a cat 1 costing us 30,000 points for our stay. And DH had a pile of Hertz points from when he used to travel for work that he used for our rental car, so we only paid $17 for our car! Somehow he ended up getting gold status (seriously he hasn’t traveled for work in 2 years, how??) and we got upgraded to an SUV.

Now if only there was a way to churn the costs for the horse :rolleyes1 haha just kidding. I love him enough to pay for him, but getting a horse to Oklahoma ain’t cheap!!

Are you going to Oklahoma for the World Show?

Didn't go back to find the original post, but I still couldn't find the in-store RMT offer, only the online Walgreens offer. Oh well, maybe next time! Thanks for the help though! We don't have Staples in town, does online work for gift cards or is it YMMV?
