*** Official November 2018 Thread - It's Turkey Lurkey Time! ***

Me too! I'm kind of freaking b/c we leave the house at exactly 7 am! I don't trust anyone to do FPs but me, so I don't know what to do!

We don't have to leave until 8:30, so I am going to get up early to get lunch and breakfast done and as long as my son eats and gets dressed, I will call it good. :P

I had to be in work at 8 am on my fast pass day for a meeting and my commute takes about a 40 minutes, so I got to work at 6:45 am so I could get my fast passes without stressing about being late. :D

Good thing I did, because with how glitchy the system was, I would have definitely been late for work if I hadn't.

Same here I wish it was 6 am like ADRs. We can’t go on websites at work unless they are for the job and we are not supposed to be on cell phones either. I figure to tell my boss I will be late that day and make up the time.

I realized I only have character breakfast ADR’s and would like some variety. Does anyone have any favorites for breakfast and/or a weekend brunch? Trying to finalize my days before my fp date! I started to question everything today. That always happens before the 60 day mark and then again before the trip, haha

Boma breakfast is AWESOME, I think the best breakfast on property :goodvibes We did the brunch at Trails End a couple years ago and also thought it was really good, that's just weekends though.
The breakfast buffet at The Wave was really good! You can order off a menu if you prefer but they have a couple options on the buffet we hadn't seen anywhere else.

YES, Boma is wonderful!!! It's becoming a tradition of ours to go there for brunch on our departure day (this year will be our third year in a row doing it). We LOVE it and it's also really nice to wander the AKL property/animal viewing areas before or after.

We will be right in the middle of our commute when our fastpass day hits. We have yet to have it come up on a weekend! Thankfully my husband and I carpool together so he drives and I desperately try not to get sick :crazy2:

FP+ day is tomorrow! I have my list ready to go. Hopefully the website is cooperating tomorrow, as I have to get my son up and to school during that time. It is getting exciting!!

We’ll be in the same boat. DH starts work at 6:30 or 7 and he would have no clue what to do anyways. DD starts school at 7:30. We’ve been leaving about 7:10. I haven’t figured out what I will do yet.

My issue is that I work at a school and it’s only day 2 tomorrow. I think I have an ok plan set up to give me 15 minutes. Past that I’ll have to call it quits. MDE better work!

That sounds worse than star tours!

I have my Disney experience loaded and ready to go for my fp time in a few hours. I usually take the day off work but I lost track of time this trip. I can’t believe it’s already September!
I hope everyone is able to work out their school and work schedules!
If MDE isn’t working as planned, I’m planning on just getting the important fast passes and then securing the rest later.

Good luck this morning everyone! Mine is a week from Sunday so I lucked out! Homeroom doesn't start until 7:45, so usually I just get in really early & do it at school.

MDE was working on both my phone and Firefox on my computer and I was able to get most of my fast passes at the times I wanted! I wasn’t able to get SDD at day 63 but they had saucers so I went with that. FOP at 67, mine train at 65, and FEA at 61 weren’t a problem.
I’m still debating switching my HS day to get SDD but I have ADRs and I don’t know if I want to switch. We’re wanting to do both new TSL attractions anyways. When I went in mid-August, SDD wait was only 20 minutes longer than Saucers so it might not be worth it to switch everything. As of now I’m thinking of just hoping for the best and doing stand by for SDD, but Jersey week/Veterans Day weekend is making me nervous. I probably have until tomorrow morning to decide :/
Is anyone else only planning one HS day? I thought I could fit the majority of the park in one day but I’m questioning it now that I think about it. I got saucers, tower, and Rnrc fp+. I don’t think we’ll do star tours since we’ve been on Disneyland’s so many times and maybe not TSMM depending on wait times.

So I had 20 minutes this morning due to some helpful hubby hands with the kid drop off, but didn't even need it b/c FoP was all gone for the day we wanted. I picked it for our departure day, but we really didn't want to go to AK that day since we are staying walking distance to EP and HS. Oh well, got Navi and will try for RD. And of course we will keep looking. I can't remember fully, but we went at this time last year and I might remember them opening up more FoP FPs at some point. Anyone remember?

My fp opened today as well. Wasnt able to get SDD (day 62) but did get FOP (day 63), SDMT (day 64) and FEA (day 65). So cant complain.

Was tied to these days due to my adr's so didnt check later for SDD cause i dont want to change everything around. Will keep checking for it and worse case just ride standby.

That's great!

I never anticipated it, but HS has ended up being the toughest park for me to plan this trip. So much for that half-day park nonsense! Actually, for our past two trips, HS was close to a half-day park for us. During our trip with our girls in 2016, they weren't old enough for most rides there, the Star Wars stuff frightened them (they still refuse to go anywhere near Kylo Ren, not that I can blame them!) and we assumed they'd enjoy only a few of the shows. When DH and I went on our own in 2017, we hit most of the rides but skipped most of the shows. This year, our girls (they'll be newly five) are at a "sweet spot" for the rides AND shows. Throw in the two new rides in TSL and I'm having a tough time fitting things in, especially since we have a 3:20 (= latest lunch seating) ADR over at Akershus. We've got some potential free time on our arrival day, as well as an unplanned Friday morning, so we may have to pop into HS for a few extra hours one of those days.

I am taking off on my FP day. It's happens to be on my daughter's birthday. Poor thing thinks I took off for her! :rotfl:

In all seriousness the trip is our first, and a surprise, so I wanted to make sure I dedicated time to it.

Last trip my ADR day fell on DD's birthday. My plan was to make my ADR's at 6 am online, be done by 7 am, help getting her ready, get myself ready for work, run and grab Dunkin Donuts for her class treat and be to work on time.

NOPE! My ADR's wouldn't book past the first day. UGH! So I had to wait until 7 am to call in. The trip was also a semi surprise since we didn't want to tell them until about 3 months before. I had to barricade myself in my room and book the ADR's on the phone and the poor kid was probably wondering why I ignored her most of the morning on her birthday! lol But I had to get CRT and BOG.

I did end up getting to work on time since I got dressed before 7 am and my SO helped get DD ready while I made the ADRs. But it was so stressful. If it ever falls on a weekday again I'll just take the day off. Luckily this year ADR and FP+ day were both on weekends.

:sad1::sad1::sad1:FP day is tomorrow for me.... and I’m on the west coast. This means I need to be awake and on MSE at 4 am pst?! Yowza!
My TA is gonna do my FPS for me, but I was thinking I might give it a try..... just in case.

Is that allowed? Can he and I both log in to my account simultaneously? Or should I just let him work his travel magic? Lol
He was successful in getting me ADRs for CRT, so I have faith in his abilities.

We have one full day planned at HS and then we plan to rope drop it another morning before we hop to AK for our fast passes there. We don't do many of the shows because I have a 6 year old boy, who is anti princess. We do have to fit in Jedi Training and he usually wants to ride TSMM multiple times, so I figure we will do those things again .
