Disneyland thoughts:

-The parks are crowded. I was kind of expecting it because of the holiday, but it was so packed. I really can’t blame them for raising prices on tickets. I wish they would just expand capacity instead of raising pricing but Disneyland really has no room for that lol.
-The pricing for other things is off the rails.
-Blue bayou Fantasmic Dining Package: our reservation time was at 1:45 got seated earlier at about 1:35 and we were out of the restaurant by 2:15. No joke. Wayyyyyy too rushed for a three course meal. The food was good but no way did they cook my food that fast.
-River Bell Terrace Breakfast: We never ate here before and we were pleasantly surprised. I got the chicken and biscuits and SO got the short rib and eggs. We both loved our food. Idk how tho place was dead.
-I wasn’t in the mood after the meh steak the night before at Blue Bayou so I asked to order off the lounge menu. The lady made a face
-Overall, we had a great time. Idk when we will be back (I may have said that in August when I left lol) when we go back though we want to stay at the Grand Californian again. Even though the Fairfield inn has better service and the room was great and close. I’m brainwashed and I love the Disney bubble.
-14 acres of expansion coming in June! And 28 acres worth of crowds...
-Right?!
-from my understanding you're correct. Pre-prepped and cooked to request prior to being served.
-we're trying RBT for the first time this upcoming trip. We've had little interest in their menu after they became a sit down place but it's been revamped again and now actually looks good to us. We're doing lunch this Spring!
-what?! wow. Omg. A face like that would have absolutely kissed most of her tip goodbye with me.
-I adore the Disney bubble and early entry. It's not necessary but it's very nice :)

Here you go. My friend who is a mail carrier says ti works wonderful!
dewalt-heated-jacket

We are looking at -20 at night Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We threw in lots of extra firewood today and the horses got an extra layer of blankets.
Ha, my dh actually got a heated jacket from his boss for Christmas. All the employees did. It's not as heavy as a winter coat, but I told him I want it. He won't share LOL.

You know what my sweet and thoughtful hubby got me for Christmas? A heated seat for my car!! So I plug it into the lighter thing and turn it on. It warms all the way down the back and under the seat :D It's AH-mazing!!!! I know some people have cars with these built in but I don't lol so I'm thrilled with it!

I don't know on one but the woman who got my checks last year and wrote over $4000 off my account was caught. I was very proactive about it and worked with local police departments (several involved) and they worked with Target & 7-eleven to get photos of the person passing my checks. She also had my drivers license. Anyway, she was involved in another terrible case (mugging an 80 year old at Kroger) that got a lot of news so they linked her to my crime. But had I not reported the bad checks to the local police departments she probably would not have been charged for using them.

ETA: Thankfully, Target was very understanding when they came after me for writing $4,000 of checks on a closed account. They were never rude to me even though I was basically dealing with collections. My life was a complete nightmare for a while because even after my account was closed by Wells Fargo they kept clearing checks because they had linked my closed account to my new account.
Holy crap. I didn't realize fake checks was a thing and feel like a TOTAL idiot for not realizing this. Of course it's a thing. I just lost a check on main account (stupid usps, and stupid me for not putting tracking on it) and I've been debating if I do more than issue stop payment on it. Apparently yes. All the info needed for a fake check is on that check. Having something like $4k worth of checks written on my account falsely would be bad. And my police dept doesn't give a you know what unless people are physically injured.

A common strategy is to intercept a check in the mail. Take a picture of it, then move it on to it’s destination. Then you sit on the information briefly and print counterfeit checks a little later.
Oh hell. Just realized the person I talked to at this little nothing bank I sent it to mentioned they've been having issues with lost mail. I know what I'm doing tonight :badpc: So. Many. Autopays. To. Change.

(Don't worry fellow bank bonus chasers, this is a little nothing bank and they don't do bonuses!)

love my heated seats...definitely was one of my must haves when picking out my Elantra

I am afraid of this too, if we ever go somewhere. Between my motion sickness and vertigo, I think this would surely happen to me.

I got a job!!!!!!!!!!!! Still doing the same thing, nothing new and more likeable, but it's the exact same pay and I get to work from home still!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YAY! And double yay because as someone used to working from home I cannot imagine moving to an office!

Has anyone ever stayed here? I am just hanging out, on yet another cold, gray, rainy day, wishing for a trip to somewhere warm...

Ok, I started to say me, me, me! But then I went to look up the name of the restaurant we had dinner at and couldn’t locate it. So then I went to look at my CSR bill and we stayed at The Arizona Grand https://www.arizonagrandresort.com/#oasis-water-park while we were visiting my SIL. It was really nice and looks very similar to Squaw Peak. I actually got engaged at the Camelback Resort in Phoenix and have been out there many, many times but we typically stayed with my In-laws so we didn’t get to experience the resorts.

No, but I need warm too. I am so over this winter and we've had so little and it's been mild. I feel bad complaining. It doesn't help that my dh applied for a job in FL yesterday...So, I have visions of much warmer weather dancing in my head ;)

ETA: the hilton looks great and Phoenix would be lovely right now!
I seriously doubt it is warm enough to swim in Phoenix right now. We have been out there for many a Christmas and it is not swimming weather. We’ve been out in March and it was getting closer to being able to. It’s the strangest feeling to get out of the pool in the summer, it’s a 110-120 degrees but you are freezing!

I might not have graded for the semester finals today, but I did not only switch my Slate to a Freedom, but I just went to Huntington and opened up my Biz account for the $750 bonus. I got the $150 from discover too. So that's $900 in bonuses when the $750 posts. I guess once I get it, I'll downgrade to the free account for now. And look for my next banking bonus. I think I hit my Aspire spend in under a month....eeeek. Now I'm at a loss for what I need to be doing next! I guess maybe try to liquidate my $1000 amex GC.

Mine too, for the past 2 cars! DH thought it wasn't necessary when he was living in SoCal and ordering his car before he moved here-- I told him he would regret it...well guess who steals my car ALL the time and immediately puts on the seat warmers? Yep...he even turns it on for the dog:)

Trust me, it is HORRIBLE! I got to telework for 4 years while on detail to another federal agency and when I went back two years ago, it went back to 3 days in the office and 2 telework days. I absolutely hate going into the office. It was so much more productive at home without the “people” distractions that are in the office. I keep hoping they add an additional day or move to a full-time telework schedule.

I was just enjoying mine today on the drive to and from work. DS likes to steal the front seat from me on the weekend when DH drives so he can enjoy the butt warmer. I don’t know what my little prince is going to do if his 1st car doesn’t have them.

That would be so odd! I've never had more than a layover in Phoenix. My dh has gone for several work conferences in the winter...always comes back wanting to move...I'm like, 'no, too afraid of scorpions and no closer to Disney' :D

Too funny..I also put the passenger seat warmer on for my pup

Ha, I live in MN and I cannot stand the cold either!!! But 55 would feel glorious right now, our forecasted high for a week from today is -7! UGH! That is also dog agility class night, where I sit in a chair for 2 hours watching which ever dog isn't training at the time, in a giant warehouse type building. I freeze my buns off every week, next week I may just die in there.
You need those mobile, one time use hand warmers you can put in pockets!

Yeah, the scorpions are bad. My MIL got strung by one when it was her sock :) There were hundreds of them scurrying around at the one outdoor mall that we go to at night. We always say it’s a nice place to visit but we want to be closer to the ocean and not landlocked like AZ.

That was a solid life call. It downpoured my last trip starting exactly as our train left the 7DMT station and stopped exactly as we left the exit line into Fantasyland. That ride was horrible, eyes closed, and all any of us wanted to do was get off the stupid thing. The only time I've ever thought 7DMT was too long! We were a soaked bunch of people walking off that ride because no one had their ponchos at that point.

We rode Everest last May when it was pouring down rain. It was raining so hard that the rain actually stung since the ride goes so fast! Probably should have waited or not ridden.
