love my heated seats...definitely was one of my must haves when picking out my Elantra

Ya know when you're in the car dealership and the sales guy is trying to upsell you all the added extras - well there was a package that included heated windshield and steering wheel - and I was like.....yeah, I can live without those.....etc, etc.

Well, let me tell you, in the midst of NE winter - that heated steering wheel is just about my favorite thing on the car. Must be old age but my hands get sooooo cold.

Since we are discussing bank fraud today AND some people like to chase business account bank bonuses...here’s some food for thought:

Business and commercial bank accounts do not have the same protections as consumer bank accounts!

Federal Reserve Reg E requires banks to provide reimbursement for most fraud on consumer accounts as long as it is reported quickly. This is why you get your money credited back quickly.

Reg E does not govern biz accounts but rather the UCC (uniform commercial code). Essentially biz account holders have much less time to report fraud AND less protection. (i.e. the bank doesn’t have to reimburse your loss UNLESS they are able to recover your money).

Yeah, the scorpions are bad. My MIL got strung by one when it was her sock :) There were hundreds of them scurrying around at the one outdoor mall that we go to at night. We always say it’s a nice place to visit but we want to be closer to the ocean and not landlocked like AZ.
Yep, I grew up close to the coast and now I am landlocked in CO. I miss water so much!!!

I know so many people stung by scorpions in AZ, some in really nice resorts even. I would be too scared to live there.

Checked my Alaska miles balance and finally got to the 20k so I went on to book my flight home for August and it was only 12.5k!! :dogdance:

I got that booked for 5.60 and then thought hmm wonder what the flight to MCO is at now since I booked back in Nov for 20k. Oh look it's 12.5k now too. I don't know if I can get them back or if it's a cancel/rebook type thing and I don't feel like calling at the moment. Does anyone know? I tweeted at them. It's 125 to change or cancel but it doesn't talk about award flights and it's 192 and change to buy 7k miles. So it'd be worth it but money I didn't want to spend. I'll have to see what they say. I feel like it's miles not cash and it's not my fault I was planning ahead and they lowered it later. I know blah blah Southwest. Alaska is better and flies non stop to MCO and I'm not about to change planes if I don't have to and I do with almost anywhere I'd want to go on SW if they fly there.

ETA they told me to call. I was hoping for a bit more info than that.

Ohh...I’d love to have a heated steering wheel....
also wish the seats were cooling seats in the summertime

I know they USED to have some kind of price guarantee. I don't know if it was for cash, points or both. And all that could have changed this last year as they have begun the slide downward to stay in competition with SW.

No, but I need warm too. I am so over this winter and we've had so little and it's been mild. I feel bad complaining. It doesn't help that my dh applied for a job in FL yesterday...So, I have visions of much warmer weather dancing in my head ;)

ETA: the hilton looks great and Phoenix would be lovely right now!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

Yeah, DH's mom lives in PHX and we have never been. Maybe we will take a trip out there to stay at the Hilton...errrrr, I mean visit her.:rolleyes1

There is probably something to this. My mom is the same way. Genetics in action.

I think part of it is getting used to the heat too. In NC 70 can still be hoodie weather, here in Seattle it's almost time to break the shorts out or at least leave the jacket at home. I like the heat but I run cold (though I'm sure that was obviously since they had do the blood draw on my hand) and here it's always a damp cold. We're less humid in the summer but it's a different heat from NC which is way humid.

omgosh. what!? ok, so maybe we won't try out that Resort. What in the world? I am now terrified of Arizona.

It was totally her fault. She loves to garden and leaves socks and shoes outside to use. Didn’t check the socks before putting them and bam. She had invaded his territory.

Got our flights booked for our May disney trip today. 12k round trip nonstop. Whoop!
Didn't book DH yet since he will just pop down for a couple days and I am not sure which ones.

Also took the plunge on DAH tix for Monday. Weather seems to be improving. So after that I had to change all our Fastpass plans for Sunday over to Epcot instead of MK. Planning now to RD AK and then rest and Epcot pm. Monday is DD's move in day then a nap before DAH. I cancelled our Snow White ADRs since 6pm wouldn't work for either day I had reserved. Thats fine. Money back in my pocket. Will grab one another time.

Meanwhile, DD leaves for a last stint at UT tomorrow, returning Saturday morning, and has packed nothing for her move to disney Saturday.:sad2:

also wish the seats were cooling seats in the summertime

I actually had seats that cooled as well as heated. Unfortunately the cooler wasn't strong enough for black leather in Florida with the convertible top down. :car:

And...for anyone who was waiting with baited breath...my beloved Amex sent my PINK GOLD card overnight and it arrived within 25 hours.:cheer2:

We thought about visiting Phoenix too but I never knew there were so many scorpions

I've been there 3 times and never saw one. I've had lots of friends visit and never complain about seeing them. To me it's no different than alligators in Florida. They are there, if there are signs near the water stay away. Scorpions, don't go crawling in the bushes or the flowers and keep an eye on where you walk if you are hiking somewhere just like you would anywhere else.

Phoenix is a nice city, it's very flat. They have In n Out which is enough reason to visit :) They have awesome speed limits on the freeway when you get outside the city :car: :D

CRISIS AVERTED!!!! ;) :D

You know what my sweet and thoughtful hubby got me for Christmas? A heated seat for my car!! So I plug it into the lighter thing and turn it on. It warms all the way down the back and under the seat :D It's AH-mazing!!!! I know some people have cars with these built in but I don't lol so I'm thrilled with it!
I have have heated seats since 2007 and it’s my only must have in a car now. My new car has both front and rear and a heated steering wheel. Now THAT is the best thing ever!!!

You need those mobile, one time use hand warmers you can put in pockets!
I used to have a stash but I think I am out. I would put them in my pants and shoes here LOL. Can’t use them for hands here, got a leash in my hand, sometimes two :-). It’s dang chilly in here right now and it’s 30 degrees warmer than it will be next week at this time. Yikes
