It is the same portal, only difference is the multiplier used, at least AFAIK.

You asked earlier about using the second year's travel credit before cancelling, you get 30 days to cancel or PC after the AF posts, during that time you could make travel charges that the credit would be applied to then PC or cancel the card. To me this is incredibly shady and I would hope that Chase would at the very least clawback the credit.

Ok, if I am a current SPG Biz cardholder, when does my AF go up to $125? I'm searching and searching and all I can find are the things about applying before the fee goes up...

From what I can find and previous experience with AMEX, the first time you're AF is due after 03/28/19. That is what happened with my Gold card when that changed.

Agreed! I’m surprised this is even allowed. I think I would be too nervous to do it.

This may be a naive question but how do you abuse awards?

I think the shutdowns occur for those that get too many cards too fast. For example, you are trying to decide between 3-4 cards and are carefully weighing you decision for which card to get. Somebody else might get all 3-4 cards in a few months. They would likely be shutdown. Most of us here are relatively slow churners. We tell people to pace about 3 months in between Chase cards. If you do that, you should be good.

Yes! I’m definitely taking it slow. My last personal Chase card application was well over a year ago, and I applied for a Chase business card 6 months ago. This is reassuring.

Just back from a great week at DLR so I have a lot of catching up to do but I did notice another rumor regarding SWGE at DLR has been posted on the DLR side of the boards here. Basically says there will be a standby line from opening day on & ROTR issues are very bad. (Accuracy of original source idk. Data seems incredibly specific which lends credence in my mind.)

I need some advice, please. My DH applied for the CIP last week and got the needs further review message. I called the automated line and got the 30 day message, today it went to you will be notified in 7-10 days. Should he call in or wait it out? He has a real business for 20+ years which is his sole income source. His CL on his CSP is $30,000 would it help to lower it now?

11/18 AMEX Hilton Honors Business
11/18 Capital One Venture Personal
07/18 Barclay Arrival+ Personal
03/18 AMEX SPG Business
06/17 Chase CSP

Older
01/17 Chase Marriott Personal - closed
10/16 Chase CSR - closed

I was hoping he'd get approved for the CIP, then move onto the southwest business and personal cards. (I'm 7/24 for the next 9 months)

Thanks for any help!

7-10 days could be verification.....Did he apply using his first/ last name and SS number as the business name and EIN ?
If he used a different business name and actual EIN Chase may be asking for documentation. If he’s willing to call in Since he has an actual business he could do so, if not the letter should arrive next week.

It wouldn’t hurt to lower the CSP credit limit, if you don’t need it that high

Great, I am expecting my fee to post 4/1. Not cool.
I know, I was thinking DHs would be ok but upon looking I think it will be 4/12. I guess i dont understand grandfathering in new apps but not old customers :confused3 especially when we haven't paid the first AF. I was thinking of gambling keeping it for awhile and getting the night, and being ok cancelling mid year for $95, I'm not crazy about the increase

Just wanted to let others know that the Amex $10 back for Sam's Club does NOT work for a new membership. I'm not mad because we still got the $45 off on an order for signing up and $20 from Dosh, but that $10 would'be been nice. I guess I didn't read the fine print close enough on the offer.
