October Trip Reports w/activity calendar

Enjoying reading everyone's reports, making it really hard to work, lol. Still stalking the website to add Sat 11/2, so far a tent and premium site have been available, but no full hook ups. Was suppose to work a full day Monday and then head out but the closer it gets the less I feel I will make it a full day, would love to get there and be set up before dinner. It's only about a 45 minute drive for us, so as long as we leave by 3 we will be good.

Talked to Kenny at Tee Time carts and his new assistant today. Cart will be ready for us on Saturday. They are the very best to work with. Have used them for over 10+ years and never a problem.

We went to MK today & was not crowding until 4 when everyone was waiting for MNSSHP & it was undeliverable. We saw the afternoon parade, walked around for awhile. Had lunch @ Pinocchio & always good. The train is down until 2021 which I was very disappointed. After we left around 4, picked up Missy for her doggie park run. The DP is WONDERFUL!! Came home a feed the turkeys which Missy ran out the door B4 I could catch her was chasing the turkeys & some flew off. Right now I have the cutest tiny squirrel at my feet talking to me. I need to get it some peanuts & it told me he misses his pal Tiggerdad. We are heading to the movies to see Halloween Town with Debbie Reynolds.

Im packing and getting food ready. So the camper is mostly packed up, food is sort of figured out and in the TT fridge, freezer. Thats new for me coming from a pop up. I got the propane fire pit redesined so it will meet disney standerds, lol. Decorations are packed , but i have no idea how they will look or get set up. So much to do so little time! I will be pulling in on 29th.

Tiggerdad's posse is legandary. They have a communication network that rivals the Internet.

I keep trying to tell them I know the guy but since he hasn't given me the "secret password" they keep ignoring me.

And shaking me down for food.

"Leave the muffins unwrapped on the picnic table overnight. Or else."

Trust me, they are ruthless. Give them whatever they ask for.....

I did the Fort for Halloween during 2017. My father was my wingman. (H was on my bucket list and DW said I couldn't go alone so she sent someone she could trust "Dear Dad").

It was awesome.

Everyone should have the opportunity to do Halloween at the Fort as a camper. At least once.

Shame on you for giving me 43 pages of new stuff to catch up on when im planning on leaving in 2 days! And still planning my first trip to the fort!!!!
My dad was atually supost to come for the trick or treating with his granddaughter ,( i got the golf cart and all) unfortunately his health has told him otherwise. No worries, we will take a day trip to see him. All good ed , i will read it after the 4000 other pages on LAST minute stuff to do! I will post pictures and follow ups on the experience. I want others to learn from my mistakes! Tbh, ive been on this fourm a bunch and learned a ton, not just about the fort but on how to do disney. I think ill be ok. The only unfortunate part is the stuff i really wanted to do and experience is gone. The fort stuff , the mickeys bbq, the horse barn, the headless horseman and sleepy hollow movie, are the resaons i wanted to camp in the fort. I hope the rest is as good as everyone else says. Because i really was looking forward to the stuff i will never see. I need to get extra hot dogs for the fish, at least they will be there !

I believe I mentioned construction pics, not suppose to be looking at any construction while on vacation, so says DW, but it’s hard not to at the Fort these days.

It's 0 dark thirty and I'm up because I can't sleep. We are 1 1/2 hours from the fort and ready to get in and set up. 20 days to get so close and still so far away. Hope our next entry will be pictures of our camp set up. Will attempt to get DW up and moving by 8am and shooting for rolling into fort by 10am. Talked to Kenny at Tee Time and cart will be ready at 1pm tomorrow. They really are the best for a cart rental. Hopeing for good loop carma this morning. All the animal bones are ready to be out for Halloween after being locked up under the motor home for so long.

Hey, I posted the link at page 36 (out of 43) which was when I finally showed up at the Fort for Halloween. So really it is only 7 pages I guess.

But I'm like you. There is a last-I-checked 45 page thread on the Rumors board about What's Going On With The Parks and I said to myself 45 PAGES!? I started the first couple pages reading but 45 is a little daunting. Hence why I posted the link above at 36.

Now you Halloween folks are inside a week. I'm going to butt out and get some popcorn.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in a few days. Of course my bad luck continues. Today is my last day off before the trip and a sub tropical storm will cause rain all day to prevent me packing the camper. So I will pack after work tomorrow I guess. I have to work tomorrow and Sunday before leaving Sunday night or early Monday. We'll arrive at Lake Louisa sometime Monday for one night and roll into the Fort early Tuesday. Praying we get our site early enough. We have tickets for MNSSHP that night. On Wednesday morning I meet Kenny's guy to get my cart and the fun starts from there. Gloria and Arnold post your site and also anyone else that's there after Tuesday and I will try to come by.

We made it to fort and our site was not ready along with about 200 others. Overflow was packed with rigs blocking all the traffic lanes. (Really big mess. We did get our requested site and loop. Great spot. Set up done before big down pour that lasted about 30 minutes.
