**Villains After Hours - Magic Kingdom** FAQ & Discussion Thread

I have a few questions about the AP discount that’s been mentioned, hoping someone can answer.
  1. What is the cost after the discount?
  2. How many tickets can I buy with the discount?
  3. I thought I heard they must be purchased in advance, not day of to get a discount. Is that correct and if so how far in advance?
We are there Feb 15-25 and were hoping for a DAH. Never been to either though so we will consider the VAH, but the price jump is big for a family of five to swallow.
I paid $115 + tax per ticket with our DVC discount. Not sure about limits on numbers but I bought 4 with no issue.

Catching up on everything after retuning from my Fall/MNSSHP trip and of course something big like this drops! Very grateful for the DIS and all the posts on the original DAH thread that brought it to my attention. Even though I had already planned out all my days and booked spring dining, I was able to move around HDDR and 'Ohana ADRs and am probably switching an AK and MK morning due to the release of VAH.

Having done a few of the traditional MK DAH and 1 VAH, there was a noticeable difference in crowd size. I still had a great time overall and had I never been to a ticketed event, I would have thought the park was empty. The HUB felt the most congested throughout the park because there were groups of people enjoying the villain add-ons. Other lands seemed to still be pretty empty and it was nothing like I experienced at MNSSHP. Hoping the ticket cap doesn't increase!

While it is a pricey add-on, navigating a less crowded MK while the sun is not beating down on me during a warmer season makes the event worth it to me. My family and I were just commenting how much we loved the "late" 10pm closing in DHS because we could do stuff during Fantasmic! If this is my only option to be in MK at 1am, I will take it. Haven't actually purchased the tickets yet, but it will happen sooner than later.

We really enjoyed our Villains night back in August and my husband was elated that there are more dates. We already have a trip planned for next October but now it seems like we'll have to make an extra trip just so we can enjoy this again.

Im not sure if this has been asked yet, but I didn’t see any mention of the unlimited drinks, popcorn and ice cream either. Will this still be available? I know there isn’t a lot of value in that, but it was a nice addition.

I watched some videos from the event last time, and it looks like it is right up our alley. I am going to be buying tickets for April 3rd. It may not be as empty as a normal after hours event, but we are huge villains fans, especially DD16, and this may very will be her last big trip before college. We will just go in with expectation that we are there for villains content and lower, but not eliminated waits.

We will be at that event as well...i'm expecting it to be crowded as Spring Break in the Northeast starts that weekend. We originally weren't going to do a park day, and just hit disney springs and the pool as we get in around noon, but with this party, and our love of villains, we are going to give it a shot, and then do Hollywood Studio's Saturday, when everyone and their mother will pry be starting their trip at Magic Kingdom (at least that's how i'm hoping it goes down haha).

It is our spring break. All of the predictions I have seen have spring break crowds ramping up the following week, with our week at mid range crowd wise. We have done DAH twice and many MVMCP and MNSSHP. If the crowd levels are close to what i have seen on the summer events they will be higher than a regular DAH, but nowhere close to party levels. I think it will definitely be manageable and worth the cost for us as we are huge villains fans.

I have a question about the stage show scheduling. I noticed for some of the the stuff I had looked at that there appear to be 3 shows, but how do they work relative to the timing of the event? Do they do a show as the event ends like MNSSHP? Our event is 10-1. Any chance there will be a 1am show? or will they be 10, 11, and 12?

That is my hope as well!!! Let's hope we are right haha

From what i've seen of past handouts for timing the shows go at 10, 11 and 12...no show at 1 because the Villains stand over the exitway of MK and heckle you as you leave the park (at least that's what i've been told).

Having experienced normal DAH and seeing the disappointment regarding the crowds issue, that $145 dollars may just price me out of that if I were going during that time. IF they had Villainous Meet & Greets (be kind of cool to see them take over Fairy Tale Hall and give it a villainous overlay), then I would argue it's worth it. But with essentially only a specialized stage show with mixed reactions serving to spread out what seemed to have been an increased admission compared to a normal DAH, it doesn't seem worth that cost.

And I say this as someone who really loves Disney Villains (I've dressed as Gaston and Dr Facilier for past Halloweens). Who knows, I MIGHT try it depending on what they have for 2021. But right now, if I were going in 2020, it's a really tough sell.

Hmmmmm, that’s a whole lot of Villains dates. And no regular After Hours for half the year??? Nice for folks that like Villains, dressing up & characters. Not looking too good for those of us who really just like doing rides & LOW CROWDS!!!!

It would be nice to have some plain old DAH dates too. Still processing this, but I don’t think I like it. I really like the regular DAH, but not too interested in this. I guess Disney preferred the crowded Villains event tho. BOOOOOO DISNEY!

The good news imo - is that because there are so many Villians dates, us villian fanatics will be able to spread out our visits and not all trying to get into just a few of them that are offered.

I'm a super villians fan - and the fact that there really isn't that much 'Villians' content is making me consider if it's even worth it or not. And I'd pay the extra on top of the Halloween ticket to be able to hang with Cruella, so trust me, I'd splurge if I got to meet my favorites!

I have never been to AH event, but we will be back at WDW in February and was thinking of attending VAH. My daughter (will be almost 12 then) is a big villains fan. Has anyone taken kids around her age? Do you think it was worth it? Appreciate any input as I hate to spend the $ if more adult oriented.

My kids were 10 and 8 when we did VAH last summer and loved it! We took a late afternoon nap to ensure everyone was bright eyed and bushy tailed and could make it all night!

This will be our first AH event. I bought tickets to VAH for our June 2020 trip. I'm really excited to go. Just to clarify, this event is my ticket to the park. I can enter the park at 7pm and book Fast Passes from 7-10pm?

I choose to go to VAH on our "Magic Kingdom" day. So, this means that I could just go to Magic Kingdom a different day as well if I decided to not enter the parker earlier than 7pm. Our vacation package includes 5 day basic tickets.
