I did the AmEx yesterday for the 3-$25 pack ($71.98). Rakuten had 4.5% pop up during Sam's online. So that's $63.74 for $75 worth of DGC (-15%).

I was thinking Rakuten aka Ebates didn't work with Sam's and GCs? Did I get that wrong?

Just to clarify, all Disney GC’s at BJ’s will be discounted at 6% Black Friday through 12/2. As per leaked print ad.

The total discount using Chase/PayPal will be 10.7% (.94*.95=.893)

Can you help check my math for Black Friday using 6% BJ's discount, anticipated 3% Rakuten/ebates cash back, and $25 cash back Chase offer? I probably need to purchase $175 in gift cards per transaction to meet the $150 threshold after 6% discount. I've got the Chase offer on 6 different credit cards.

I think it comes out to $175 in Disney gift cards for $134.57 per transaction, 23.1% discount, from the comfort of my sofa, in my pajamas, with my dog on my lap. Someone please let me know if I am wrong.

(If Rakuten/eBates won't track for gift cards, I think it's still a 20.3% discount).

That's what I thought also. It popped up while I was online at Sam's (I have Rakuten, RMN, TCB set to pop up when on line). I activated the offer. Just checked Rakuten (gosh I liked Ebates much better than Rakuten. If you have to make a commercial in order to teach people how to pronounce the name, geez, bad marketing) and the Sam's has a "cash back" checkmark. Maybe!

Geez I don't know .... how big is the dog? I have a 113 lb German Shepherd, definitely know it won't work for me.

Does anyone know if the Target coupon you can get on Black Friday for use on a future purchase will work for Disney gift cards? I’m guessing not?

No. (But we had a wonky thing last month where a targeted Target coupon for 5% worked on gift cards for a few people, but not others, like they screwed up on the programming for a batch of the coupons so worth a shot I guess.)

My last RMN/Sams purchase never credited or went pending.

Same. Mine is still just sitting at ‘activated’ from 10/26.

Same. I purchased $500 egift card from Sam's 3 days in a row.....10/31, 11/1, and 11/2. Not a one has given any indication it'll credit......My ShopDisney for 12% cash back from 10/12 shows a payout for 11/25 and another ShopDisney 6% cash back from 11/2 shows a payout for 12/15. Gosh, I miss Dosh with Sam's......and the extra Uber credit from Visa Local offers.

That is awesome! Rakuten (ebates) has never credited for me when buying Disney GC's from Sam's. I really wonder why this stuff is so inconsistent!?!

Retail Me Not is advertising tomorrow (Nov 7) as Cash Back Day "100s of retailers up to 20% back". We'll see if it is anything useful.

It was for me plus I used the Am Exp. offer "Spend $75, Get $15 at Macy's!

I purchased some clothes on ShopDisney and paid with a Disney Gift Card, cashback sites were too low like 1%, anyway, the items didn't fit so I returned them to my local Disney store AND I brought the empty GC with me. The cashier said if I didn't bring it, she would have to put the $$ on a Merchandise GC. So.... be sure to write everything down in your spread sheets, mark your cards and don't toss them unless you're 100% sure you don't need them.

I did this deal:
purchase Walmart GC from walmart.com for 5% cashback on Discover
use the Walmart GC to purchase 4% discounted Disney GC at Sam's
going thru RMN with 4% cash back at Sam's.
Works out to 12.5% off


But it looks like I am not getting the 5% back from Discover. I don't see where gift cards are excluded. Or else it takes awhile to update the "You've earned $XX cash back so far this quarter." Anyone have any insight?

I just checked my account and the $200 gc I purchased posted as 1%. I sent them a message just a few minutes ago, hopefully it was a glitch.

Do we know if this works on gift cards and/or if it works at BJs.com? I’ve never used a Chase offer before, and I was surprised at the lack of “fine print” in the offer!

Correct - a lot of CB offers report not good on GCs - but many do go through. I have done 4 Staples ones over the past 4-5 months and they have all posted the CB. Side Note: Even all my Chase offers that state no GCs (CVS, Rite Aid, etc) have all also posted. I always proceed with caution and don't buy large amounts.

This is true....last year I did the same. I had "A" empty disney gift card with me and begrudgingly she put the credit onto that card but it wasn't the one I used to purchase the Shop Disney items originally. I actually had several disney gift cards with me and the others had $25 listed on the front of the cards and my credit was over $25. She said she couldn't use those because they had a value printed on the front of the card. Funny, but the card she used was one of the $5 dgc I had gotten from turning in disney movie points at the disney rewards site!

I have had good luck the last two purchases of disney gift cards from Shop Disney. The first one was 10/31 and I purchased a $500 dgc plus a couple ornaments. The second one was a few days ago and that was only a $500 disney gift card. Of course, I haven't gotten the cash back yet but they posted and listed the cash back date. In my experience, once that happens the deal does go through.

It usually does say gift cards aren't eligible. I wouldn't push it.....it may result in them being more critical in the future for everyone else! Then all the deals go bye-bye.

Check Amex offers for 30 off 300 at Best Buy. Easy 10%

bestbuy.com limit to 4 GCs at a time, max $50, so won't work for the website (Amex offer excludes business GC purchases). Could try in-store, I guess. The $300 has to be in a single purchase for the offer.

I have not ordered yet, so I can't give you a guarantee. However, I have always received cash back from my Chase offers for DGFs at stores such as Staples, Michaels, and Home Depot.
I am planning to order online for this BJs offer, and hoping it will work. I will post the outcome.

I am not sure that purchasing walmart egift cards from walmart.com will trigger the discover 5% CB. I got one on Friday 11/1 and nothing shows in my Discover account. I tried again today purchasing a $50 egift card and noticed it took me to giftcards.walmart.com to purchase. Anyone successfully purchased a walmart egift card and received the 5% CB from discover?
