I never went to it as downtown Disney so I’m not sure what I’m missing

You're missing circling a parking lot for 30 mins trying to find a space. Then sitting in traffic trying to leave. Lots of outdated 90s architecture. No beautiful springs. A smaller World of Disney. No Amorette's, Ganachery, Food Truck Park, etc etc.

I do miss the Adventurers Club and Comedy Warehouse, but the overall feel and additional shops and restaurants as well as the fabulous parking garages more than make up for my nostalgia. As a local who has been going to DTD/DS for 15 years Disney Springs is a HUGE upgrade and I absolutely love it!

Disney nerd moment for me here. ABD now sends an email after the trip in order to send a guest testimonial that they may or may not use on their website. I decided to give it a whirl and sent one to them after our Japan trip. I see it is posted on their website!

I work with a lot of young millennial under 30. Most of them are drowning in debt and still want to go back for a higher degree. I’m glad I went to college when it was cheap. I feel bad for my kids.

My oldest DD is 25 and she went back to school for her Master’s in Education. Fortunately she is living at home right now so she isn’t drowning in debt,. She is going to graduate next December and then hopefully find a job and move out!

Woke up to a CIP approval for P2! I’m so excited for these UR’s as I don’t have an immediate plan for them, they’ll be for weekends visiting DS at college and maybe to cash out some to pay for DLP.

Checked in at 6:30 this morning for our 6 am SW flight tomorrow morning and got C2-3. Hopefully we’ll be able to get upgraded at the gate.

@wendow, sorry to hear about the lousy customer service you’re getting. That really stinks.

There are ways to attend college without graduating with a lot of debt...at least in NYS if you attend a state school.....my daughter did it a few years ago...

But our niece was determined to attend a private out of state school and she just graduated with probably $150,000 in loans...and a $35,000 a year job...

All of my kids have gone or are going to SUNY schools, you are right much less expensive than private. One is all done and has a good job and 2 are still in school.

It was 3 yesterday but not all together (basically 3 - 1 hour time periods), today was almost 9 straight and now I am close to 3. I at least feel better that your friends finally got a resolution, no matter how bad it is.

I am sorry yours isn’t working. I am in Disney right now, flew down on the launch day. My DD tried it and couldn’t get it to work on our smart tv at home. I had to reset the PW and she is able to watch on her laptop. I made a booboo when initially signing up 2 months ago and used my old email address that I now need to change. So now I have to change it to my new one before I lose access to it. But I don’t want to do that until I get home because I don’t want to risk messing up anything with my MDE while I am here at Disney! Hope you get yours straightened out soon!

@DisneyMandC - Was just looking at this. I think you can buy an online only membership for $10. Totally worth it for the number of BJs offers I have across all our biz cards! I'm waiting to see if I get approval to go to a conference that is at Disney - if I do, Disney GCs here I come (DH and one of the kids may join me so we would need park tix). If not, I will need to strategize and figure out what GCs I will be able to use.

I remember when Disney Springs was the Disney Village. When I was a kid my parents liked to take us to stay at the treehouses and we’d rent a golf cart and drive it to the Village to shop and eat at the Empress Lilly. They used tiny little Christmas lights in the trees and it always looked very magical at dusk.

Yes just sign up for the online membership which lasts a year and is $10.

Well just under the wire my $20k posted in my Simple account. So now I just sit and wait to see when the $500 bonus hits. It was taking forever to post, so I was worried I wasn't going to make the 15th deadline.

I managed to score free tickets to the UM/MSU hockey game for tonight. I'm taking my son. He's pretty excited. I haven't looked to see where I am on my HH Biz spend. I'm guessing I'm close.

I go under 5/24 on 11/20. I'm gonna hold off until December to apply. If I'm denied (I don't know what I would be) how long between apps?

@wendow, I'm really sorry you're going through this. It's a ridiculous amount of wasted time! If you haven't done so already, I think your best bet is what @linzjane88 mentioned, and that's to create a new account using the 7 days free trial option, and sign up for new accounts as long as is needed for Disney to fix the glitch or at least for the call and chat volume to die down. (Obviously, don’t cancel your D23 discounted subscription.) Between you, DH, and DD19, that's 3 weeks of free Disney+. Just remember to cancel the trial subscription before Disney bills you.

Mine actually posted the very next day. I did a pull from my Ally when I set up the account. Now to hope the bonus posts like they say it will. Wish we didn't have to wait 3 months. I have to say their site is a dumb as Great Southern Banks.

Major mistake on my part. I've been waiting for the 20,000 points to post on DHs CIP from when I used his link to get a CIP for me.
Just realized they posted to a closed card. I must have put in the wrong card when getting the link. His closed card still shows up when I log into his account. The points are there in "earnings on next statement", but he's not going to have another statement. I posted with a bit more detail on dischurners too. Anything I can do? Or did I just make a $200 mistake?

OK so ... still no offers on my chase Biz cards, either on the app or on a desktop computer/website. So sad! However, at the close of the next cycle, which should be a couple days before I'm going to try to book the flight to Japan, I should have just about 205K UR. Now all I need is to get lucky on those flights!

It is the room discount. The bounceback thread is in the discounts subforum of the resorts board. It is kept up to date with the newest info.
