I just tried to book a flight to Vegas using either AA or United points, and OMG! I can practically fly to Europe for that. I had one AA $100 gift certificate left over so I used that and paid cash for the remainder. How much do you guys value AA miles right now? How about United?

I usually get about 1.6 - 1.9c per point from my AA miles - vast majority of redemptions are for domestic first class. They are great IF I can find award routing that isn't totally ridiculous. Not always easy to do out of BOS.

United, well lets just say I have been sat on 15k united miles for about 4 years and have yet to find a good use for them.

Yeah...who am I kidding, it happens in minutes for me too, lol. I was just trying to not sound totally crazy... LOL!

I hope I don't sound like a yinzer... LOL! If anybody wants to know what one sounds like though, search Pittsburgh Dad on youtube - it's hilaroius!

I lived in Pittsburgh for 6 years. All my coworkers watched him, it’s very funny if you know what he’s referencing.

And for the flights- I changed my plans. 😛

I am doing some research for a future vacation with my family of 5, 2 adults 3 kids. I'm looking into the Hyatt Ziva hotels. It seems I am only able to get points availability when searching for 2 people in a room. As soon as I look at 3 or more, all Hyatt award availability disappers.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Do I need to call to make a reservation with more than 2 in a room?

I believe the standard point booking is only for 2 people and you might as well add a 2nd room for the price they charge you for extra people.

This is directed at PA/NJ folks - how is the weather there in late March? I'll probably be renting a car, is it hard to find parking for an SUV like a Toyota RAV4 or should I stick with a smaller car like a Hyundai Elantra?

YES! I’m all about wrapping :santa: the 20-25 some rolls of wrapping paper I overbuy each year tells me I may have a problem, though
I have found my people! I have a whole box of different papers, and if I run out of a color I refill... never mind I may have 12 more rolls

And so I don't lose my cheapie cheap badge - I mostly get it on after holidays clearance :D

Yeah - I tried to show it to some other folks not from Pittsburgh and uhhh...it falls flat, LOL! Although @wendow seemed to enjoy it LOL! She's a closet Steelers fan though (I think!)

This is me too! I have 3 long wrapping paper tubs that I keep all the wrapping and tissue paper in and then another 3 regular tubs that have bows and bags and ribbon. I love buying Christmas paper and making all the gifts look fun and festive.

Dunkin Donuts has improved the GC deal online. Now, it's buy $50, get three free $10 cards. :) This totally makes up for my Chase offer mishap earlier this week at DD when I didn't realize the GC I was purchasing in store would ring separately from my $2 coffee, which was charged first.
Edit: Forgot to add that paypal is a payment option.

I love that guy!!! I gotta show him to my fam!!

No closet fan either lol. I’m am an unabashedly, unashamed Steelers fan. Even when I lived in Dallas and could lose my life for liking the Steelers....

I hadn't heard about that deal. I will have to check it out! Thanks!

@SouthFayetteFan

Since I'm sick (sinus infection) and fighting getting out and going for a prescription, I've spent the day on computer and in front of the television.

So, checked out Pittsburgh Dad goes to Giant Eagle - hilarious and I don't really know any of the references - still very funny guy!

You mean he goes to giant iggle. Did he get his buggy?

Called Amex for a retention offer on my Platinum 20K for $3000 spend, told them I will think about it but I think I will cancel. Applied for the BBP with a support link (and let the person know) and was approved so I have a home for my MR. My other thought was to PC to the green but then I would miss out on the SUB.
