Is it okay to put family first? (Response to royal family stuff)

Meghan doing voice overs for Disney cheapens the whole royal thing. It's kind of like Fergie being the spokesperson for Weight Watchers.

I don't agree with that. We don't even know what the voice over is for. And Fergie HAD to find a way to pay off all of the debt that they stuck her with. Not many options for employment for someone like that.

Megan’s job was acting, so this is a perfect thing for her to do. And it’s for charity, so good on her.

I also think that Meghan and Harry are a bit full of themselves for demanding everyone at the tennis tournament to put away their phones. It's stupid. I mean, you're out in public. People are going to take your picture. If you don't want your picture taken, don't go to the tennis tournament.

So the Fab 4 was a lie? Meghan was a wanna be Diana but was really a Yoko the entire time? She put on big a big smile and lied to the Royal family, etc. from before day one? Now, that's not hard to believe

Harry has wanted out for probably most of his life, yet Meghan schemed this all out? And lied to get it??

Oh, I have a pretty good idea in some cases.

For starters...I think they are selfish and have been very disrespectful to Harry’s family. They have especially hurt and embarrassed his grandparents who love him dearly. I never thought I’d have pity for Charles but I do. They are spoiled ungrateful brats. Everything could’ve/should’ve been handled with class, dignity and concern for others. IMO

So I think that

Megan thought she was go to get more out of it, money and fame... She knew exactly what she was getting into when she hitched her wagon to the Royals... Harry and Megan will always stand behind William and Kate,... and more than likely Harry will never be King, so she will never be Queen... I think that once the wedding and media frenzy started subsiding, she realized that she was not the bell of the ball... plus she is an actress, they live to be in the lime-light...

Make no mistake Megan is in control... so if she is all ready doing voice over for Disney... that means that this was already in her plans...

I really don't see Prince Harry looking for fame and fortune.... I think his mom would want him to be happy and stand on his own... but never would she want to see the brothers split apart...

He could’ve but he didn’t. And I don’t think that’s Megan’s doing. Harry is not a weak puppet. He’s never been the type to just do what he’s told. For whatever reason he chose to do it now.

I keep reading comments like this here on the DIS. Admittedly I'm far from being an avid Royal watcher but I do generally keep up with the news. I don't remember ever seeing or hearing a single article or interview that has people ranting over this. Where are the sources? Great Britain is pretty multi-cultural and people of every race and ethnicity hold all sorts of positions of power and authority. Is it really that big a deal to them? Or is it people on this side of the pond that are making a fuss?

I agree, he is the one responsible for how he treats his family. I do not believe for one second that Meghan could manage all of this on her own, and he meekly follows blindly. Could she be the impetus? WHy not? But he would still need to be on board for this to take place.

Years ago I married into a family whose ideas about "outsiders" included any spouse, children who were not blood, widows.. it goes on and on. I was not the "perfect" fit in the family's minds, so any decision we made as a couple was blamed on me. I was, and almost 30 years later and still considered a lying scheming money grubbing woman who stole this perfectly wonderful man. Now in order for me to accomplish all of this they shoudl consider that Bud is a spineless ridiculously inept and ignorant man who cannot find his way out of a paper bag, but they don't. It's all me.

I would bet there is a bit of this mindset in the Royal family as well. Dumping this whole thing on the shoulders of a woman and mother, begs the question: Is Harry fit to be in any sort of position in the Royal workforce? If he is that inept and easily led that his spouse could manipulate him in this manner, good riddance.

I don't follow them at all. Don't really care for any royal family. I just catch a little here and there, mostly on the dis. I've never heard race mentioned in the very little I hear, again only on the dis do I ever hear race mentioned. I don't really think any one cares, at least no one I know does. Besides, she's not black as you say, she's Mulatto. Her father is white, in fact, I had never heard of her before. I'm surprised really that any one other than their friends for family would care what they do.

I'm sure that if you look hard enough you can find it but for the overwhelming majority of British people neither her colour nor her nationality is of any importance.
