I’m optimistic that you might have more time to play than you think. Babies sleep A LOT! Except at night. Just kidding (sort of)! In hindsight, I was definitely exhausted having a newborn, but still had way more time on my hands than I do now with older kids. I say buy it, and play it while you can. Once your kids stop napping, that’s when you’re life is over. 🤣🤣
I think I'm still gonna hold off for now. Maybe after he's born I'll decide to get it if I feel like I have enough time. I feel like when he's sleeping I'll want to be sleeping, too.

Best Buy has switched to curbside servicing effective today according to an email I've received. Maybe they were already doing this in your area?

****

Beginning Sunday, March 22, we will offer contactless curbside service at all locations across the country where state or local laws allow. Rather than ask you to come into our stores, any items you order on BestBuy.com or the Best Buy app will be delivered to your car curbside. If, for any reason, you didn't order the product in advance and the product is in stock in the store, one of our employees will be more than happy to go get it in the store and sell it to you while you remain in your car. This service also extends to returns and exchanges, the period for which has been extended on most products so that you have more time. Only employees will be allowed in the store, but we are determined to serve you as fully as we can. Unfortunately, we are temporarily unable to continue our product trade-in and recycling services.

For those who want to continue shopping with us online or on the app, we will, of course, still get you what you want.

I think they were just limiting the number of people in the store at one time.As one person left the store, the next was let in. Love the curbside service that so many businesses are offering right now.

Okay, just figured this out. Expecting that Haley R prolly won't really need formula, but wishes to have a safety net, maybe buy a couple different brands of formula and keep the receipt. Then, once it is evident that the baby will be fine without formula, donate them to a women's shelter, and use the receipt to take off your taxes.

Story time: Once I stopped at a quick-mart. A girl outside the door was asking for money to buy milk for baby. I shook my head and went on in. But then feeling bad, and not wanting her to use the money for something else, I bought a gallon of milk and kept the receipt so she couldn't return it. I gave it to her on my way out. She said the baby needs formula!

Haha....I had something similar happen at a Mickey D's, used to be near where the Nationals Stadium is now, except the mother wanted money for toys for her kid for Xmas. I asked her what her child wanted and offered to go buy it. She snorted and walked away. She wanted drug money which I already knew.

In your case she was probably eligible for the formula through WIC, if she had a baby.

Oh and if anyone is searching for meat don't forget Omaha Steak and whatever other one's are out there that I've seen advertised the past couple of days. I think swagbucks has 2 or 3 they give cash back on. I know it generally costs more but if it makes things easier or can provide what you need the extra cost might be worth it.

Great idea. Omaha Steaks frequently shows up in my Amex offers so I always buy gift cards to have when I’m ready to order. I’ve also redeemed Discover points for Omaha Steaks gift cards since you get at least 20% more value for your points when redeeming for gift cards. I don’t order from them a lot but it’s a treat to have once in a while. My freezer is jam packed right now so I need to free up some space first.

Ha, yes! I just posted assistance on selecting new kitchen rugs on mine... Anyone want to help?

I like the wine bottle one more because it flows, the first one I feel like the patterns don't match and they just stuck whatever was left together. But whichever you like better is the one you should pick :)

What??? Bull Durham is awesome 😀😀😀. Got dd to watch it with dh and I few months back. She loved it too.

I think I thought there would be more baseball than there was. It wasn't a bad movie it just wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Kind of on the level of Youngblood in that it's a decent enough sports movie with a bit of the "behind the scenes, yes that's really what it was like" stuff but there's since been better sports movies. I'd watch it again if it was on tv but I wouldn't seek it out.

I was super tempted to buy a switch for the new animal crossing game, but in about a month we won't have any time to play it.
Maybe for the first couple weeks as you work out a schedule but after that? You may have more time than you think. It's the only reason we had an Atari in the house and why Mom is still all-time undefeated champion of Asteriods and Space Invaders. This carried over into when we finally got a Nintendo, and she schooled us in Tetris routinely (I could get close, but not sure I ever beat her top score).

Told me it was my own fault that she wins, if I hadn't sleep so much she wouldn't have had so much time to kill.

I’m another person with a set of transatlantic flights through United. I see they’re waiving change fees for travel through May 31. Our flight out is May 26, and coming back is June 12. So far our flight times haven’t changed. Since United is being so difficult about all this, is the best I can hope for no change fees, but having to pay a fee to redeposit the miles for when we decide we want to go?

Another issue I’m seeing is...I booked these flights middle of last July when the schedules released. The fine print I’m reading says you have to actually complete your travel within one year of when you originally booked the flight. How can that be right? I’d have to complete my trip within a month of when it was originally scheduled? :confused3

So, this is the first time I've had trouble with a target dot com order. I had ordered my son's favorite Annie's Mac and Cheese because he eats them a LOT and I knew it was one thing that he could go through a lot of while we are staying home.

I bought 12 because that's what I've done with Amazon in the past and it was literally a pack of 12 boxes. This Target order was 12 individual boxes, which was fine... except that they sent me a few EXPIRED boxes (instantly recognizable because that particular variety changed its packaging within the last several months so it was super obvious they were old).

Clearly I don't want to go to the store right now so I initiated a "return by mail" (not really knowing what to expect) and they said they'll just ship me a replacement- no need to return! I guess it makes sense since it's a food item, but now I'm going to have extra boxes that ARE ok (from the original shipment) that I sort of feel bad about.

Of course, until the replacement arrives I won't know whether some of THOSE are also expired so maybe it'll work out evenly in the end... ugh.

With food items they can’t resell it anyway so there is no reason to process a return on their end.

All the retailers have systems that track your returns and analyze that behavior for gaming the system so it’s not really a policy they can be taken super advantage of. Not that you would! Just more of a point of interest.

Does Mac & Cheese really ever expire though 🤣 I figure it’s like Twinkies. My daughter eats Annie’s as well, sooo...depending on just HOW old it is I may risk it. You can always drop it off on my doorstep. 🤣🤣 sorry guys I’m needing some light hearted fun today 😉

The noodles would be ok but I'd be suspect of what's used in the powdered cheese packet. I'm be more worried about something like velveta or any others where it's an oozy cheese product in a pouch. It would depend on how far past the date I'd even tempt it.

Yes it’s more about the cheese powder. I’ve definitely had some in the past where the cheese was a brick (although I wonder in those cases if moisture had gotten in somehow???)

I'm gonna wait at least two weeks to see how the situation changes. If it gets worse and formula really is extremely hard to come by, then I might buy some. Otherwise, I'll just wait and see if I actually need more than the samples I already have.

It's been 20 years, but when I was pregnant all the formula companies were offering free samples (and I would think you could find stuff online for that) because they really wanted to get new customers. I ended up with a ton of formula, all different kinds, and in the end didn't need any so I donated them. But I was able to get a pretty substantial amount without paying anything, so you might want to give that a try.

I tend to believe her to this day, but I'm kinda gullible that way.

I'm guessing they mean within one year of when your flight would have been, rather than from the day you made reservations?

There’s a spend $40+, get $10 back at Omaha Steaks Amex Offer that expires on 6/21/20. Also check cashbackmonitor.com for the best return at Omaha Steaks via a shopping portal. You can earn cash back, Amex MR (via Rakuten), or Chase UR, including a variety of airline miles.
