Mayor Goodman, before I go on, you should know her husband was Mayor until he had to quit after term limits , and before Mayor he was a Mob Lawyer, and she is in mid 80,s and one them old people that dont care what you think

Anyway she said this and I quote want to reopen the Strip, we wont know if social distancing is working, until you have a group thats not doing it, and Vegas is perfect for that, we had Virus for years in Vegas" LOL, my type of women, lets have fun and let the chips fall where they may. Anyway if anyone wants to know what she looks like put all four Golden Girls toghter and make one person, it is her

I hope it does open soon. My wife and I have a suite booked at Mandalay Bay for our 25th Anniversary.
My DH and I love the Mandalay bay! We like to rent a cabana and relax by the pool.

I had a Vegas trip planned for May, might have to move it to June, but if its open I will go. But Saying we had virus.s for years, is not really a good slogan

The only place on the strip in Las Vegas is the Stratosphere. The rest is governed by the Clark County Commission. Las Vegas has made several attempts at getting the Strip, but has failed every time.

We love the cut of the week at Charlie Palmers. A steak, sides, desert, and unlimited wine for $58. A great deal.

I love Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Vegas, best breakfast in the world

Well you two may have friends in high places, but I've got friends in low places. The $6.99 steak and eggs special at the village pub at Ellis Island is more our speed. Much easier on bruised wallets. We got steak, (New York Strip) 2 eggs, O'Brien style potatoes, and choice of bread. It's after midnight and you have to ask for it. It's a secret menu item.

Especially if she wasn’t specific about which virus . . .:rolleyes1

I think a lot of people have lost sight of the fact that the closures were never intended to last until there was zero virus threat. The closures were to keep the hospitals from becoming overwhelmed with patients. They have accomplished that goal. It is necessary to at least partially reopen society, both from an economic standpoint and from a herd immunity standpoint. Those of us who have done as asked and isolated ourselves have also (probably) not been exposed to Covid-19 to get any immunity. Will that mean another batch of cases? Yes, in all likelihood it will. The idea is to open a little at a time so the new cases, again, don’t overwhelm the hospitals. That is the only way to get the herd immunity up where it needs to be to stop the rapid spread. Keeping everyone at home at this point may be doing us more harm than good in the long term. If anyone feels they are particularly susceptible to the virus and wants to continue to isolate, they are certainly allowed, and encouraged, to do so. But I know I am ready to get back into the routine of going to work every day, and will be glad when I can do so, even if it means wearing a mask. My job does not involve dealing with the general public. It’s just an office job in an office building, where I am in a room with one other person, and our desks are the perfect six feet apart. So, I am in agreement with the people who want to start opening things back up so long as it’s not everything at one time.

Ellis Island!! The airline crew dinner spot!! We would go there on the regular for the steak dinner for $6.99 including a craft beer. I never did try their bbq, although I heard it was quite good.

Well, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, including the dead bodies. I heard there are a lot of dead bodies buried in the desert outside of Las Vegas.

Did you ever see the TV series called Vegas (it was the one on around 2013 about Vegas in the 60,s) it only lasted a couple seasons but I loved it, anyway you mentioned about Bodies in the Desert it made me think of that

I was thinking about the Bugsy Siegel gangster movie in Vegas.
