Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Omg I could quote every movie lol and dd and I have reread the books too many times to count!

Dd and I are considering working it in. We went when it 1st opened but she was 15 not 25 she is now so I’m sure it will be different and lots of new stuff.

However I’m hoping at least 1 of my cl booked trips works out. I have GF in August and New Years, and poly in October.

Oh we were so lazy we ate at the Hardrock restaurant at the parks entrance. So easy to work in coming or going!

Oh we love Hardrock, did you keep your expensive picture, we always do, wife don’t like it I’ve started making funny faces in them occasionally!!!!!!!

Just posting this here as an FYI. Someone on the BC/YC resort thread just posted this:

"just checked. WE BEEN MOVED TO POLY CL!!!!!!! words can't even. Aug 28- Sep 6, If SAB opens at any point during that time I will be LIVID. Hubby is not happy do to pool and food situation as well.

our Bounce back reservation the week before at YC CL is still showing. "

This adds to the mystery of how long the CL services will be suspended. FWIW, my early August reservations have not been changed and still show CL for AKL and BWI. Stay Tuned.

Edit to add: The guest's original reservation was BC CL and the modification was made in MDE without them knowing it.

Part of the NBA is staying at yacht club also, the teams they think will only be there for 3 weeks. The teams there for 12 weeks are at Grand Destino.
This may or may not have something to do with why they were moved.

Yeah the YC has the teams that wouldn't have made the playoffs, but since the standings were close, they're playing 8 seeding games. If one of em does well enough to get into the actual playoffs I'm not sure if the plan is to move them to the spot of a team at GF / GDT or not.

the reviews I read last summer for the Poly seemed to indicate that the only warm offering at breakfast was oatmeal/grits. For those that have done YC/BC CL how does it differ from Poly?

although, as I type I don't think there will be cl yet so I don't know how this will work. I definitely want a credit.

I think we are impacted more by the offer that they can book rooms after they are done playing. Plus, until they know every last player is out of YC, they will likely keep it closed. who knows.

I completely agree! I keep checking my MDE a few times a day just to see what does or doesn't pop up. I think many here realize that Disney has their hands full and the worker-bee CMs are surely getting whipped to orchestrate what the "leaders" have come up with. I keep trying to put everything in the "just be patient" category. However, then you have an announcement today regarding the reservation system coming out and advising that Monday could be the day you need reserve park days and most people don't even have a clue if they have a resort room to stay at or if they do, they don't know which one it will be! How can you NOT disclose what resorts and services will be open before instructing people to make park reservations? I know the announcement is expected by Monday (probably later today), but come on.

I have two B2B CL bookings for early Aug for AKI and GF and so far no changes or requests to confirm. Oh well they’ve still got time to figure out what they are going to do to me.

There are several reports such as @dnw25's that they booked BC or YC through a travel agency exclusive group block and were moved to the Poly without advance notice. I have not seen any reports by anyone else of being moved without notice. I think Disney probably moved the whole group block from BC/YC to Poly and the guests saw the change in MDE before the travel agency was able to notify their guests. None of the posters I've seen have been disappointed.

... Now of course, with my luck, I will say this and then Disney will just start moving people willy nilly. I also thought there was no way that they were only extended APs through closure with a calculation date of July 11, but I was totally wrong about that. Think they are going to have a lot of guest recovery to do through all of this.

To keep this a cl thread ..... hmm it’s getting hard, if I knew where they putting me for my stay I could plan a cl experience!

I think I would like to do maybe the wave for wine and salad. Then maybe Kona for some steak ? Then the next night mix it up.

If MK closes at 7 we need to keep busy lol.

Hmm I wonder if we can eat in MK after 7? I need to watch for that....

Does anyone think the club lounge areas (particularly WL & BWI) might at least be open for sitting around? (albeit with social distancing restrictions) ...even though no food is being served there?

Wouldn't you rather get two months+ notice that you are being moved (and not outright canceled) so you can plan accordingly? Especially since the park reservation system opens on Monday and almost every other WDW resort guest (except those at DVC and Ft. W) checking in when the parks open, as of now, have no idea where they are staying or if WDW is going to cancel on them. I would rather have actual information than to continue to be in Disney limbo right now.

We have CL at GDT in October (7-13) and I keep checking MDE because I’m assuming the NBA will boot us out of there. With the cancellation of MNSSHP today, I’m still teetering on the brink of cancellation but am curious as to where they will place us? Being in a moderate at CL is unique, will we get a bump?

I have a feeling they might move you to another CL. I think they really expect to have CL back up and running by fall judging by the way they are moving some guests.

There are reports of others (4 or 5) on this board being moved as well. BC to Poly with no notice, end of August early September

most of us are unhappy. Only one Poster I’ve seen has been fine with it. They are just dramatically different resorts and locations. We stayed there once and it just doesn’t compare and that’s after we were super excited to stay there
