I had called and got retention offer for either $80 or $100, sorry I can't remember. I cancelled and now am very sorry. Until last week I had only used 2 FNCs and didn't think the card was worthwhile for me. Thinking back over the year, I had gotten 10% Lowes offer that saved me $100 on my new generator, a 35,000 FNC and 15,000 Marriott points. A week ago I used 3 FNCs for DGDs other grandparents to join us on vacation. Marriott is very good about extending the FNCs. I'm dealing with cancellation remorse.:guilty:

Thank you for your input. I will call today if there is a retention offer (doubt it since I only use it for gas and offers) or if they can at least extend the FNC) I find it a little challenging to use the FNC. I wish we could use the FN points and then pay the difference in cash if the hotel is a higher level.

Do you have a Gordon Foodservice (GFS Marketplace)? I was able to find bread flour there. It's bleached which I usually avoid but will compromise on for now. Funny story, I ordered it through Instacart with a bunch of stuff for my mom and had it delivered to moms house. It was a 25# bag. Sent DH over to pick it up from mom's front porch. He comes back "You ordered 50# of flour?!" Turns out 2-25# bags were shrink wrapped together and neither the Instacart shopper nor the cashier noticed. I'm up to my ears in bread flour.

I found gluten on Amazon sporadically. Found Bob's Red Mill wheat gluten at Jewel (Albertsons) last week after trying to order elsewhere using Instacart. The poor Instacart shopper was so confused. She kept sending me pictures of everything gluten free in the baking aisle.
No GFSs in VA unfortunately. 50 lbs. of bread flour is a lot! And lol on the instacart shopper:)

They gave me a $40 retention credit a few months back. You'll want to call Marriot about extending the FNC and not Amex. However, I don't know if they'll do it since they already extended everyone as part of the covid response.

I haven’t been paying attention to Marriott since we cancelled our travel plans for 2020. When did they extend the FNC to?
We were originally going to use it for a night in NY to check out the new Legoland. When they announced that wouldn’t open we decided to use it for a Pre cruise stay in FL. We ended up cancelling that.

Agreed. DD kept the points for future travel, plus that 1.5 pts on everything is really nice.

I know that CF and CFU aren't that hard to get (although I do know another friend's DD was rejected, but it would have been her first (non-AU) CC. I have no idea about the US Bank or BOA cards are to get - we only have Chase and Amex here. The Hyatt was an auto-approval for me, I believe. DH used Plastiq and an AMEX Biz Plat for tuition one year, but DD's college didn't accept credit cards. That one has a nice, big SUB and with tuition it was easy to hit the big MSR.

I was thinking of maybe doing the AMEX Plat and using Plastiq but AMEX has not liked me much lately so not sure if I could get that.

For applicants with thinner credit history, Chase tends to want a year of relationship history with their products, e.g., checking/savings/investment accounts, other lower tiered credit card products.

Ok. So maybe DS could try for the CSP. He has had the Freedom Unlimited for a few years and is coming up on a year for the CIP. Although, I think I would probably have to cancel the CIP first and then apply to free up some credit. Since he doesn't make that much - don't want to get him too close to the 50%. Or can I lower the limits on his CIP? I will cancel it anyway but it is not a year until the end of July.

I called and was able to PC my CIP to a CIU. It took longer than I remember. I had to go through 3 different people to get it done. The first lady was a general customer service rep. She transferred me to a security person that verified a lot of my info. Then he sent me to a third person to PC the card.

Have any of you been successful calling Disney about a refund for APs? We bought ours from Sam's Club and they told me they can't do a refund since Disney is extending passes. I thought I'd call Disney to see if they can do anything for us, but every number I call says the lines are full. I can't even get put on hold.

I called 2 days ago and paperwork has been started. Our APs were due to expire in April. No Disney for us for a while

Haha.....I had a quote from Lenox for twice what I actually paid. I didn't know I was supposed to negotiate for an ac unit until I had to buy a second one for this house after 20 + years. First one was 2-3 years after I moved in. Anyway, I'm quite cool and hopefully it will stay that way. Some processes are just not straight forward.

Thats funny....Lenox is my outrageous quote right now.

Any indication Chase will continue 5x on grocery for CSR, etc? I tried scanning DOC this morning, then lost my day to migraine. Trying to grocery shop now and plan purchases for the next 2 weeks lol Unprepared to say the least.
If we grocery shop today ( the last day lol), do you think it will still count for the 5X bonus? I would go out for one last trip but I am worried it will post tomorrow and miss the deadline...

I believe it is 1/31/21. It took a while for mine to show the extended date and I wish I had called them before it did because in the past they have offered a full year extension as a one-time courtesy. I don't know if they'd do that now though because of the automatic extension. It's worth a phone call to find out.

Not impressed. Guessing too many people maxed out their grocery amounts for them to keep it again. They know they won't get as many doing this. My store is doing free pickup and if they weren't I'd just go when they open on sundays like I do every few weeks. I've gotten gas once since April and my plat gives me streaming credit.

Wow. AmEx is winning this one IMO.
