Makes me want to tell my mom I want Ketchup on my mashed potatoes! I think I put Catsup on everything when I was a child!
And Wonder Bread! Did anybody else make wonder bread into balls by rolling in the sweaty palms of your hands for a special treat?

We could get Wonder, but we lived off of a regional brand called Kilpatrick's. It was owned by a national company (eventually became Earthgrains) with a lot of different regional brands. They had a bakery right next to CA-17 (now I-880) in Oakland, and I could smell the bread passing by on the freeway. I think this was a 70s era bag.

Eventually the name went away. They might have changed the logo to a common style used nationally - I think looking like the current Rainbo logo. Eventually they just replaced it with the Rainbo brand around here.

When COVID started, Sam’s Club was rationing the Campbell’s Chicken Noodle. I think that tells you how beloved it is.

I believe that taste depends on how one is raised. My folks were from the heels of the Appalachians. Some would call us hillbillies and we are proud of it. We raised our own hogs, chickens, and vegetables so everything we ate was good and fresh and made from scratch. I'm an old lady now but I still remember the aroma of my mama's chicken soup. So no, I do not think that Campbell's soup is good. The only one I eat is tomato made with milk, and sometimes cream of mushroom for a casserole.

Or do you like more expensive or home made soup.

Today I just wanted a nice simple mealm I went to store to get chicken noodle soup and ham to have a ham n cheese sandwich. But while getting stuff, I decided to get the stores home made chicken noodle, it cost 6 dollar compared to the 1 dollar for campbell. But thats ok I am worth it

well when I put it ina pan to heat up, it looked and tasted gross, so my plan was while it was heating up, make my sandwich and then just put a lot of crakers in it, and just nibble at it. My crakers were stale at home, but lucky for me the dat befoee my sister made me some chilly, and she said and here is a sleeve of crakers, I told her I dodnt need them cause I jsut went to store and got fritoes to use as crakers with chilly and sour creme. But when I got home I see she still put in baf. So after I got this wierd soup made, I put in a bunch of crakers, after closer examination they wernt normal crakers like some kind of wheat **** , it looked and tasted so bad I threw ir away, next time Im sticking with Campbells

dude: are you drunk posting again??

When we're sick, it has to be Campbell's chicken noodle. Nothing else. It isn't good for anything else, and nothing else is good when we're sick.

Tomato, cream of mushroom, and cream of chicken can do for casseroles if I'm lazy and don't want to make it from scratch.

I'll be using cream of chicken tomorrow when I make homemade chicken pot pies!

I like Campbell's. Especially the chicken double noodle. But, I don't like any of the Campbell's "Healthy Request" soups. I try and always buy the regular ones that don't say "Healthy Request."

I much prefer homemade soups and I make a great tomato soup from Pioneer Woman recipe but the other day I was hankering for something and I spotted a can of Campbells Tomato soup in the cabinet. Heated that right up and made a grilled cheese sandwich to go with it!!

If mmm is the chemical code for sodium.
though I will use the mushroom and other creams for cooking often. And I can tell when anybody used their chicken to cook. There is something distinct about their chicken soup, and its not chicken.

I use the cream of chicken and tomato soups for cooking, and we keep double noodle around (for a quick meal, or if sick, or when DD had braces and needed soft food). Otherwise I don't really like them. Except for Campbells Chunky Bean and Ham. Just had one of those this week.

I used to use the vegetable beef in recipes but now I think the beef tastes weird.

If I'm actually being honest...canned soup is horrifyingly bad. There is not a brand or type that actually tastes good, whether I'm sick or well.

That said, soup itself is amazingly good...and if you ever buy a Peking duck from a Chinese restaurant, make a broth from all the bones/wings/inedible meat, sauce and soy, and leftover green onions and cuke (if you have some ginger, toss it in - if not, it's still good)...strain it and store the broth in the freezer to use when sick with a bag of microwave rice and thank me later...Peking duck rice soup is the upgrade from chicken noodle you've always wanted when you're sick...

I tend to make only homemade soup because then I can control the salt...*but* the Campbell's Cheddar Cheese soup is good for mixing with milk or water and putting in the slow cooker with some chicken breasts. Add a bag of frozen mixed veggies near the end of cooking time and serve over noodles or rice. Good belly filler.

I agree that some of the soups are good for various recipes. We keep the chicken noodle & tomato on hand for the grandkids, otherwise we wouldn't have it in the house. I tasted some of the leftover tomato soup and couldn't believe how sweet it was. If I'm going for homemade, I'm making the cheese soup recipe from Epcot:)

I'm sorry, there's absolutely nothing in that recipe that my stomach would handle when sick.
