DDC XXXIV: The Original Home Of The DISDads!!!

Thanks, guys! COVID has made a lot of birthdays low-key this year, but it was nice to relax, eat some junk food and watch the Eagles watch other, better professional football teams.
The Bears were on a bye week, so I guess you only had the Jets and the Cowboys if you wanted to go for the "worse than the Eagles" option.

Morning gents.
Might tackle putting the tree up today. Might not.
Weighty decisions are upon us.

Had a blast yesterday with the DD. We went out back and raked the leaves up into a big pile, I then let her take several leaps into it. We had fun
Sounds like a core memory. :)

Going to wet, warm and windy here today.
You spelled Wendy wrong.

Hey, Gents! Well, it's now Monday and that means another work week is upon us. However, this would be a short week for those of us here in Murica due to it being Thanksgiving week. Had a blast yesterday with the DD. We went out back and raked the leaves up into a big pile, I then let her take several leaps into it. We had fun. That's it, fellas! Have a good day, and we'll chat throughout.

I did those leaf piles when mine were younger. Now, I just get out the lawnmower and mulch up the leaves.

At the moment, I'm not convinced the Eagles could beat either the Jets or the Cowboys. Dallas actually looked like an actual NFL team yesterday.

That was just because they played the Vikings. The Cowboys will be back to usual carp status next week.

I actually watched the Eagles game yesterday (well, up to the 3rd quarter).
I'm still a bit new to this football thing, but is there some new strategy going on that involves the quarterback holding on to the ball too long and not handing off or throwing to any one else? If so, the Eagles seem to have mastered it. :rolleyes1

Top O the Mornin Dads! Looking forward to the short work week plus I took next Monday off so back-to-back short weeks. Started the outdoor decorations a bit this weekend and put up the final, #4, main family tree including lights so a bit ahead of Thanksgiving weekend norms (no not that Norm). Looks like weather is gonna present challenges to completing the outdoor decor this weekend but hopefully we can pull it off. Did not miss the Bears not playing playing this weekend but did miss ND not playing. Mark as referenced on the other place Happy Birthday, glad ou enjoyed the day other than the Eagles :stir: Stay safe everyone!
Morning from a sunny Westfield NB, I have not been around in a few months, dealing with some health issues. I assure you that I have read all the posts , and I'm all caught up :lmao:, Have a great weekend.

Good to hear that you are back to work, Looks like Newfie navy can still hit the broad side of the ocean , excellent marksmanship,
Nice to hear from in these parts Rob - hope you are getting better

I put ours up yesterday. Probably won't decorate till after Thanksgiving, though.

That was just because they played the Vikings. The Cowboys will be back to usual carp status next week.

I think that was the closest any of the NFC East teams have come to resembling real football so far this year.

Don't forget the offensive line deciding not to block anyone, and only starting receivers that they found playing catch near the Dunkin' Donuts.

Thanks! I haven't enjoyed the Eagles in months, so it was nothing new on that front.

Happy (belated) birthday @Captain_Oblivious

Thanks Doc!

I hate putting up our tree.

Yes it is, and she'll remember it for years....which warms my heart.

I did those leaf piles when mine were younger. Now, I just get out the lawnmower and mulch up the leaves.

I raked them out after my DD got done playing in them and then used the lawnmower on them....much easier than putting them into bags.

While admiring your work. Nice! :thumbsup2

I hate putting up our tree.
I hear ya
I put it in the stand and put on the lights, after that I have a beer and stand back.
Ah yes. I remember those days. And yet... at least the clean up afterwards is easy.
Before the Covid Times, that was my job, oh and making sure the ornaments had hooks and then let the kids decorate it on Thanksgiving. But in these Covid Times we are having a Safegivings, so it’s just Jodi and I...
I'm wondering if Christmas will be that way too. Troubling times.

Morning, Gents! Hope all is well with everyone. had a storm blow through yesterday that produced a tornado warming for the area around lunchtime...so that was exciting. Not much is going on at work. Since we just finished with inventory, and everything's been updated in the system, there's no reason for me to do my cycle counting job. As as a result, I'm left with helping those who need it and scrounging around for work...which is annoying, but I have no control over it, and really neither does anyone else....it's just a fact of life. Things will pick back up again at work. Well, gents, that's all I've got. Have a wonderful day and we'll chat throughout.
