And here I am trying to decide when to pull the trigger to re-purchase my AP. I have my 50th trip planned and am planning on a trip in Feb for Princess weekend. I'm already ok with what I paid for tickets for Sept/Oct and I may not go to the parks much in Feb since it will likely be a very quick trip. Plus I don't like talking on the phone haha. But having that AP is so nice!

With school being back in its not surprising. With the backlash from Genie+ you would think people would be in a hurry to get trips in before it starts.

I have been in late august twice. Crowds were never that low. The northeast doesn’t start school until after Labor Day.

Imagine paying for genie+ for your length of trip ahead of time and having crowds like that. :scared1:

That's why its best to wait til day of to buy Genie+. I'm wondering if many are waiting for the 50th to start or the "revenge travel" bump is over. I say that cause in January there is lots of availability for all parks.

Im thinking the revenge travel bubble is starting to burst. For right now at least. The last stimulus was in April. Plenty of states have stopped or will be stopping extra unemployment very soon. Kids are going back to school. States are pretty much all open so people have other places to spend money.

We visited late August 2016 and the parks were absolutely mobbed. It was one of our most crowded trips ever and we've done Easter a few times. A bunch of things together likely whittling down attendance: Some schools going back and the other schools families don't want the complication of visiting right before Sept opening (the first real school year in a long time), heavy storm year, people postponing to the 50th since WDW announced months ago everything new would be held til Oct 1st, and cancellations to Delta especially in FL.

Also, some people are backing out of travel due to the delta variant. If the lambda variant hits here, can we call it the Loki variant :rotfl2: Just joking.

It’s on my must do list every visit even with a teenager. The attractions with cast member interaction are great repeat visits to me as they are a little different every time. Laugh Floor, Jungle Cruise are on that list too.

My teenager enjoys it too!

I remember when my kids did it years ago they asked the kids what their favorite foods are and one kid replied fish. You can imagine the interaction. :rotfl:
