Digital Membership Cards?

Does it matter? AP gets the merch and dining discounts. AP discount even worked on the mobile checkout. I've never been to the OMG EXCLUSIVE Epcot lounge, but I would imagine they can look you up. I guess there's the resort gift shops?
Earlier on this thread, someone reported that they had difficulty getting into the Epcot lounge within the past few days because their affiliation was not showing up correctly. So I guess it does matter.

Since I have an annual pass, I don’t need the DVC affiliation for discounts since these mostly overlap.

However, if this affiliation is not right, we could run into issues with other Membership Extras.

Okay. So now I checked my husband's phone and his doesn't say DVC at all. To be fair, he never does DVC stuff. I always book, so I don't think he ever set up DVC. We had DVC for over 10 years so I don't remember what the process was to set that up. Are there instructions anywhere?
In my situation I had to call to get the activation number to set up an account for him.

Just deleted and updated my pass (after I got the email from DVC alerting us to the new things) and it still says ND even though I am grandfathered contract. Don't they realize when they send that email we are going to look? Or are most clueless and they hope to have it fixed when I actually need it?

Same exact thing for me.

I'm afraid to delete and update, given that the online card is a White Card and that it would change my affiliation to DVC ND. I have both direct and resale.

When you view "my membership card" there is a dropdown menu on the page. make sure you go in and select your direct contract (or the one that gives you the blue card). Mine pulls up my white resale card by default, I have to change in the dropdown menu to see the blue card. I double checked right now and the card on the website still shows blue when i do this... but my "wallet card" does not have the Y, it says ND so it is probably looking at my ND contract when in fact i have 2.

I had my husband log into DVC with his MDE login info to see if we can set him up as a DVC member. The website asks for information that was sent to us in our welcome packet. That was over 10 years ago so no chance of that working for us.
They can send you new login emails and access code. We added our associates and were able to get new DVC ID's and access codes via chat.

ETA: It looks like it was addressed upthread and that you're good to go. Great to hear!

Can't speak for the temp white card (but they are going away anyway). Affiliations other than Annual and DVC Y/ND seem to be being removed from everybody's affiliation list.
That seems to be the case. To be honest, it's superfluous information on what is purportedly a digital replacement for your DVC card, and not a "universe of Disney" card. As I said earlier, if DCL wants to create a "Castaway Key" membership card, they can do that, and if you use the Disney Visa, the discount should be applied automatically by the card issuer, so THAT affiliation made zero sense to begin with.

ETA to clarify.

I was just in the big Disney Springs merch store, and the online checkout signs said you had to go to the register to get the Disney Visa discount. I got 20% for AP, so I was happy. No way I was waiting in that line.

Even on ShopDisney, you have to use the code, the Visa discount isn't automatically applied.

Sorry, I left out a word. I meant to say you SHOULD be able to get the discount applied by the card issuer. The discount is only applied if you use that card, so there's no "verification" needed.

What a mess. We go on a cruise in a few days and are Blue card holders, grandfathered in and hope it’s fixed by then. Or at least that the cruise will accept the screenshot of the online temp card.

I haven't read this whole thread I just want to verify that DVC ND means you have a white card? I bought resale and have a blue card but it says DVC ND in the app.

Why does Disney have to make everything so difficult?
Yes, I think that is the case ND = No discount.

And I still have the same problem (grandfathered in blue card holder who currently has DVC ND on my wallet)

That's what I thought, I wanted to make sure it didn't stand for something ese that I couldn't figure out. LOL

I finally got mine on the MDE app. But my wife can’t get one with me. The chat lady said only one card per an MDE account. This is to ridiculous for words. I called DVC this afternoon I wasn’t waiting 68 minutes to talk to someone. I’ve been a member since 93 at OKW How do I add my picture where my initial is?

There are a few places that give you a better DVC than the AP.

The rest is similar with AP but Disney Visa needs more than $50 and we rarely do that in one shot.

Speaking of this. If you eat at Space 220 make sure to use the DVC discount and not the AP discount. It is 15% there.

I see zero purpose to have anything but my DVC Y and AP showing up.

I looked and I see zero additional discounts for Castaway or Visa.

Am I missing something where there are extra discounts?

Oh man, thank you, though I feel like an idiot now that I didn't see the drop down! It was defaulting to my white card membership, since it was the more recently bought membership. My direct membership is there!

I am thoroughly confused.

I created a Disney Magicmobile pass and imported it into my iphone wallet. The affiliations it displays are ANNUAL, DVC There is no Y, though at this point all my contracts are direct. Is this a mistake? Will this be updated? Do I need to call?

ours have changed on their own over the last few days. Though we do say dvc Y all along, we both started with dvcY, annual, castaway, dvic. As of today we both say dvc Y, annual with no intervention on our part.
