STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER Official Information & Questions Thread

Can you please let us know if you get offered transfer of your luggage to a post split stay? We’re doing a night at the Hilton by Disney Springs the day before check in, and then 2 more nights at the Poly after. We will have a rental car, but if our bags can be brought over and we don’t need to worry about them great!
I’ll try to remember to ask about it because we’re going to AKL after. We’re going to pack our luggage in our car regardless but it’d be nice to be offered!

I’m checked-in now (as Ben Lonely, son of intergalactic film star, writer, and director Hank Lonely) and waiting to board. I’m posting coverage in the FB group Disney Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser News Reviews and Planning group if anyone would like to follow.
Are you going to keep posting on Twitter too? (I assume you’re @TheTackShow?)

My family had four adults on the Star Cruiser and we had a personal vehicle. Two people went in a taxi to the Starcruiser (from Old Key West) just with the luggage we intended to bring into the hotel and received the voucher at the check in. The other two of us drove over for the valet parking and left our groups non-Star Cruiser clothes in the car for the trip. On checkout we did the same and the pair went to our next hotel in the cab with a voucher and we followed up in our personal vehicle. They weren't doing the typical Disney luggage transfers.

We were there longer than you seem to be going, but that worked for us in terms of transferring luggage. For others planning this in the middle of longer trips it also kept the room from feeling too crowded with luggage as having the full suitcases for four adults in a standard cabin would have been tough.

Curious for those making this a “Solo stay“, pun intended, meaning not combining with other park visits, how many days before/after are you planning to stay on or off site?

Trying to figure out if we should do 2 night onsite prior (so as to have a full day to relax, swim, get excited for the journey) and 2 offsite after, or 1 night prior and 3 after. Any thoughts?

Is that group spoiler free? I only have a few weeks and have been spoiler free.... Lol

We are doing 3 Yacht Club prior to GS. We may do after but I doubt it...we have heard many say they are exhausted after...so we will decide probably departure morning.

No, we were not offered a luggage transfer to our Disney resort after the stay on GS. We had to take them with us

Well some tidbits after the first day that hopefully would be considered spoiler free. Some of these may have already been mentioned on blogs but these were what stood out to me.
Store has only 1 fitting room so keep that in mind if you need to try out a size. CMs will let you try on the products you pull off the racks even if that means breaking the plastic tabs that hold them together. And yes they do dvc/pass holder discounts unless marked. Their size inventory is independent of the shop Disney website. (ie Princess Leia dresses go up to 3x in store but online go up to XL which is still out of stock on the website. They had at least one in each size on the rack.)
Kids loved the theming of the ship but told me the room felt like a downgrade from the Poly deluxe studio lol.
The bottle neck on some parts of the stories is real lol. I can understand some cast members having a queue of people lined up as they have to custom role play but the line at consoles was more annoying. CMs did great juggling in that regard but I was more irked at the lines for the 2 functioning consoles (because the 1 on our floor was down and 2 were being used to check into bridge ops.)
My 3 year old and 7 year old had absolutely no interest in playing along with stuff in the data pad but my 11 year old was totally into it.
During the lightsaber training they built in a kind of rider swap which I greatly appreciated. DS11 and I were scheduled for 9:00 and DH and DS7 for 9:30 so we could hand off DS3 between sessions.

Good morning! I’m wondering if anyone can offer some insight or advice. We have a trip booked for July. We booked it before the Starcruiser actually opened. We called a couple of times and our call was answered right away. Well a week ago we decided we wanted to change our dates. I have called and called (both phone numbers) and I cannot get through. I also emailed and was promised a return call within 72 hours. No one has called and it’s been a week.
We decided to leave our dates but this worries me for our HS booking day. I was told to call May 10 to book Ogas or droid depot. How does this work if no one answers the phone? Any ideas of another way to get through?

My suggestion is to call right at 7 am. I got through in less than 2 minutes this morning.

Thank you! I tried that a few days with no luck. I guess I became disheartened. It’s nice to know they are answering at all and some people get through.

I got through right at 7am yesterday using the (407) 939-4243 number. Give that one a try if you haven’t - it was provided in my old confirmation email and has been shared on this board. Good luck!

Yes! I’ve tried that number. Found it in my email too. That’s where I got the email address too. I guess I got discouraged after trying three mornings right at 7. I would have thought they would at least respond to my email other than a confirmation that they received it and would call me.
I guess my big worry is we won’t get to do the things we want to at HS - Oga’s, droids, lightsabers… if we can’t get through on the phone lines. They said call at 60 days. I’m wondering if they hold some of those reservations for Starcruiser guests since they fill up so quickly.

I believe they do, or at least prioritize/distinguish it in some way - my reservation for our Halcyon/Batuu day is listed in our plans on MDE as “Batuu Excursion - Oga’s Cantina” while my HS day just says “Oga’s Cantina Dinner” on the reservation.
