It’s instead of. You convert your VQ to an ILL
I've seen multiple reports of people doing both.
It’s instead of. You convert your VQ to an ILL
You can. I did myself. I booked my own VQ and bought my ILL.I've seen multiple reports of people doing both.
I'm not saying it didn't happen to you. Yours is just the first report I've seen of it.You can. I did myself. I booked my own VQ and bought my ILL.
But for those that get the offer from Disney to convert their VQ to ILL it ends up being either or, not both. Notice Disney uses the wording ”instead”? What does instead mean to you?
You are totally not understanding any of it.I'm not saying it didn't happen to you. Yours is just the first report I've seen of it.
Maybe everyone else I've seen is happy to do it twice so they rejected Disney's offer.
I think you got confused in writing this. It should be "convert your VQ to an ILL," not "convert your ILL to a VQ". Shouldn't it?You are totally not understanding any of it.
If you want, you can buy ILL and get a VQ spot for the same day. I did it, and rode it twice.
No issues
But, if you only get ILL, and you get an offer from Disney to convert your ILL to a VQ it’s instead of, not in addition to. Their offer reads, buy a ride using ILL at such and such time INSTEAD of using your VQ spot
Way back when you quoted a person who said they got the offer from Disney to use ILL instead of their VQ. Your quote said, or ride twice. I pointed out if you take Disney up on the offer, you can’t ride twice. Your VQ is gone, it becomes an ILL instead.
Yep. Brain working faster than my broken hand. Having your right hand in a cast sucks when you are right handed. My typing is slower than my brain, which is rare at my ageI think you got confused in writing this. It should be "convert your VQ to an ILL," not "convert your ILL to a VQ". Shouldn't it?

See above. Poster already asked if I got mixed up. In that post yes, my broken hand typed slower than my brain. I fixed the post. But none of the mix up in that post changed what you first quoted. If you take Disney up on the offer to convert your VQ to ILL you can’t use the VQ and the ILL too. Only if you book both yourself do you get two rides.Yes, I'm very confused. If someone is ONLY getting an ILL, why would the offer to convert a VQ to the ILL even happen? If they ONLY get an ILL (as you said in what I just quoted), there would be no VQ to convert.
Given that it's an offer, you have a choice to accept or not, right? Like if you really do WANT to ride it twice, you can decline the offer and still purchase the ILL?

But no you do not have to take the offer. It’s an offer not a demand
Same here. Got a VQ this morning then bought ILL. Got the offer to convert the VQ to ILL but didn’t click on it to try. Not paying for 2 even if I couldJust wanted to report that I was able to get in the VQ this morning at 7:00 (BG 65) and purchase an ILL right after. The times overlap but we are fine with that since we won’t have to crisscross the park so much. I was offered to convert my VQ to an ILL but I don’t know how that would have worked out since I already purchased an ILL.
Wanted to get some more sleep but I’m too pumped for that. I’m waiting for DH to wake up so I can share the happy news!!
That’s pretty much it. There’s little benefit to most guestsThis is probably a dumb question but I haven't been since all the changes and I'm trying to catch up. My DH is strongly against paying any more so Genie + and Lighting Lanes are out of the question unless we can't get a virtual queue on the first day. What is benefit of converting your free VQ to a paid ILL unless your boarding group is such a high number that you may not get to ride and this ensures you will?
Thank you Mrs.AMC! I appreciate it!That’s pretty much it. There’s little benefit to most guests
Another scenario where it may benefit is on departure day. With ILL you know the time. With VQ you don’t. They give you an estimate. If you have a flight and it’s close you may opt for the known time over an estimate that cutting it close
Psst, not a dumb question at all. None of them are. Even the most experienced guests is leaving this new world of Disney we find these days
This was the first Deluxe EMH night so it’s no surprise to hear there are areas for improvementOne thing I did experience is if you have an ILL or boarding group the last hour of closing, the dump after the final pre-show will be long and chaotic so pack your patience.
For those going on deluxe nights...if you want 10 or 15 minutes after park close..its pretty much a walk on with the pre-show running too slow for full capacity rides. I hope disney fixes this but overall an awesome ride!
The doors between the rooms were giving them issues around 5:30.To add, we rode about 4:30/5:00 tonight, and they were having timing issues with the pre show. We stood in the first pre show through 2 announcements/cycles. No clue why. When the 2nd room opened it was empty and the room after the 2nd preshow was empty. None were backed up. I was almost expecting the area after the 2nd pre show to be backed up like it was on the day I rode when 1 side was down. That ride, the 2nd preshow couldn’t empty
