Hi! Happy Anniversary coming up! Have a great time!

Concourse - Both of us had the House Salad to start.
The dressing on it is honey lime, but DH had his
tossed in ranch instead. :confused3 It had several different
lettuces, lots of carrots, perfectly cooked bacon bits.
We enjoyed it, even DH with the ranch dressing.

I had the Angus Blue Cheesburger, but they let me
substitute the blue cheese with swiss. Pretty good
burger - it came w/ fries. DH went with the
Turkey Club sandwich. His came with homemade chips
that looked like deep-fried sweet pototatoes. He didn't
eat those. He liked the sandwich, but it was still
just a sandwich. We had a delicious smoothie called
the Classic. It had strawberries, mango, kiwi and
orange juice. It was really good! At first our server
told us that smoothies aren't included in the meal
plan. Later on when we informed her that we were using
the Premium plan she said we could ge the smoothies.

The food was pretty good overall, but the service ...
After the entrees were delivered the server never
checked back. By the time we finished up
she still never came back. We had to track down
a different server to find her. It was weird. :confused3
I attribute that little incident to the server, not the restaurant.

Oh ... There are lots of birds flying around in there!
Okay, three or four, but to me it's a lot! :rotfl:
I know they can't keep them from coming in,
but it bothered me a little. One more thing. We
were at a table directly under the skylight. The
sun was beating down on us like crazy!! They
couldn't move us because of a lunch convention.

Yachtsman - We're steak lovers so this one happens
to be a favorite! They have more varied cuts of
beef, compared to some of the other steakhouses
on Disney property. Lovely restaurant inside and out.
Lovely Boardwalk setting. It gets busy there, kind
of loud. But that's alright. The food is good! :thumbsup2

Ask to be in "Tall" Susan's area. She's a very good server. We
asked to sit in her section but it was busy and we
took first available. Later on she came to our table
and spoke with us. She remembered us from two years
ago. :)

I had the scallops and the 16oz. Ribeye.
DH had a shrimp cocktail and a 24oz. porterhouse.
I got a pic of the ribeye, but not of the porterhouse because
he started eating it too soon.

I'm so glad you had a great time. :thumbsup2

We're @ our 44 day mark & so ready to go.......can't get here fast enough

We're going on the Premium plan. DH & I were on the Gold Plan in 2003 & were able to add on dishes at the Fulton like the Steak & Crab Claws. Was that allowed or is that allowed at the Yachtsman? I'm just gearing up for what's to come.

We had paid for our trip & everything w/regular DDP & I changed it yesterday to the Premium. Also, back in May 2003, the Gold Plan included 2 beverages, a cold one & hot one, is that still included at breakfast or any meal?

Have a great day !!! and I'm glad you had a good trip !!

17 restaurants! You're my hero! The Yachtsman's steak looks awesome! I bet the porterhouse looked even better. I'm so glad we're going to Yachtsman's for Christmas dinner! How was your dinner at Artist Point? Did anyone have the cedar plank salmon? I have read reviews that say the salmon dish is not as good as it used to be. :sad2:

How was your dinner at AP? Do you remember your server's name?

Hi! Dinner at AP was nice. Our server's name
was Pok, Poke, or something like that. DH had the
Smoky Portobello Soup - a huge stretch for him!
He liked it a lot. Not too overpowering as Portobello
mushrooms tend to be. I had an appetizer called Heirloom Tomatoes
w/ Dugeness Crab.
It was sooo good! The crab was
fresh and they served me a good sized portion.

Here are the entrees. The pork chop was dry but I
ordered it medium well. DH loved the tenderloin, thought it
was cooked perfect. He scraped off the blue cheese, though.
We skipped dessert. Overall experience at AP was good.

serendipity]was the lunch menu at kona cafe limited? were you able to order off the dinner menu is using the ddp?

Hey, there. Yes, it is. They basically have a couple of sanwiches,
a burger and different kinds of salad. But I never even
thought to ask about ordering off the dinner menu.
The things I loved most are the Kona pressed pot coffee and
the sticky wings! ::yes::
Sorry, no pics.

Hi Wilderness Gal. The add on's were included at Fulton's. We ate
there twice and didn't realize they were included until the server
told us the second time. We didn't ask about it at YSH so I don't
know about that one. I also don't think a cold and a hot drink
were included, but again, we never asked. One thing that frustrated
me about the plan, and I don't know if this is the case with the
DDP, but bottled water wasn't always included. I
don't understand it. Seems as though what's included at one
restaurant should be included in all the others. At least those
that are Disney owned. Bottled water was included at Fulton's,
Brown Derby, Le Cellier & AP. But not at 'Ohana & Coral Reef. :confused3

Wow, 17 restaurants! I'm impressed! :thumbsup2 Beautiful Pictures too! I agree the Yachtsman was great! What did you think of the California Grill? We'll be going back in January with our 4 yr old niece & her parents (thank goodness), we enjoy the nicer restuarants but haven't had a little one along for a long time. I figure the Yachtsman's not too stuffy for a 4 yr old what about the Calif. Grill? Any suggestions for good meals with young child along are more than welcome!!

Yes wow 17 is a lot of eatting Disney style. I liked Yachtsman to. My first time there was last month. I also ordered the scallops and had the prime rib to.

How did you enjoy the character breakfast at Cape May and how was the food?

We will be trying it for the first time in two weeks and I'm curious to know what you thought if you have time.

Thanks! :goodvibes

I would ADORE an answer to this.. and your responses are amazing..

For PSB Breakfast.. how would you rated it? Did you get proper princess attention? Was your server prompt? Cleanliness.. just whatever you want to say about it! ;)

Would love to hear about your experience at Coral Reef...trying this for the first time the night of our arrival in just 37 days :cool1:

Hi! Would you happen to have any pics from Artist Point of the restaurant itself?!

California Grill is incredible based on the view alone!
I saw lots of kiddos. In fact, the table next to us a little girl was
celebrating her birthday. It was sweet. Don't be surprised to see
jeans and/or flip flops - to give you an idea of how NOT stuffy it was.
Another thing that got me excited about California Grill is
sushi is included as an appetizer.

We had a great time at Cape May! The characters
were in such a playful mood. I don't know if they are instructed to
do that because of the fun, beach theme. Whatever the case, they
were a hoot! We saw Minnie, Chip and Goofy. They even had time
to come around twice! The food was the best of all the character meals.
Plenty of melon, pineapple, grapes, etc, - all very fresh.
The best Mickey waffles by far! They have a yummy looking doughnut
bar, too but I didn't dare go near it! Loved, loved, loved Cape May!
I put a few character pics in my report on the TR board if you're interested.

On a scale of 1-10 I would rate PSB an 8. Could be higher if the food
had been better. But we didn't really go there for the food. What we
really went for was the princesses. They did not disappoint!
We saw Belle, Snow White,Jasmine, Mary Poppins and Mulan. All were great! We were satisfied with the amount of time we got to spend with them.

Hi Mom! We enjoyed the ambiance at Coral Reef. Don't be disappointed
if you don't get a table by the tank. It's not necessarily the best view.
If you like chocolate, try the Chocolate Wave cake. Mmm-Mmm!

Good day! You're right. The menu there has changed. I ordered the Spaghettini - spaghetti with scallops, shrimp, clams and crab.
It was pretty good. The shrimp & clams were still in the shell, though and
difficult to eat. When I ordered it the server said "Okay then,
I add the lobster tail for you." I tried to tell him that I didn't want a
lobster tail, but DH asked me to get it and give it to him. I think
the server was trying to boost his tip. He was really nice, though.
Definitely a good server. Before leaving the restaurant I spoke with
the manager to let her know how good he was. She wasn't even
surprised - apparently he gets lots of compliments from guests.
FYI - his name was Oscar.

My DH had the filet and was allowed to add on a side of grilled shrimp.
They make an excellent filet there, but I'm sure you know that.
I forgot to mention that we both had the Caesar salad for appetizers.
One of the best salads we had all week! Oh! I almost forgot one of the
best things I ate. The Cappucino Gelato. Mmm! Mmm! I fell in love
with gelato last year Vegas. I forgot there are places in
Disney that sell it. Yummy stuff!

I know you didn't ask about this, but I have
to tell you. (Perhaps now you can understand why I didn't do a full
dining report ... I have a tendency go on and on. :goodvibes )
Anyway - while we were there a little accident happened at the table
next to us. You know how the tables have the shelf/ledge behind them?
Well, the server sat some dishes on the ledge while she cleared off the
table. The next thing I now, the dishes went tumbling down along with
everything else on the shelf, including a huge potted plant. It fell right on
top of the guest. All of it! As it ended up, the guest was not injured.
But it was interesting to watch. You should have seen the look on the
server's face once everything started to tumble. :rotfl: And the look on
the guest's face when the "suits" came over to talk to her. :rotfl:

I just realized from looking at the receipt that the restaurant is called
Portobello's Yacht Club. I always thought it was Portobello Yacht Club.

Thanks oh Determined One! After everything I'm reading about on the board, we'll be trying to fit in 17 restaurants in a 5 day trip! :rotfl:

Oh great meal then at Portobellos! I knew they have filet on the menu but iam have not ordered yet. I am to partial to the Jiko filet and did not want to
order to many filet meals lol. I had the same gelato for dessert though as you did. It is wondeful. I will have to try their other courses sometimes then.

Lol that is too funny what happened to the dishes . :goodvibes
