We are coming March 31- April 1, staying at Disneyland Hotel. First time for us, seasoned WDW travelers. My question is about the weather. In Florida, it rains daily but doesn't change many of our plans. The forecast shows rain on our first two days, should I prepare for a washout? Any tips on navigating DL on a rainy day? I am hoping it cuts down on local crowds for us (the first day is Easter Sunday, which I have no idea what to expect!) We have 3 days of park hoppers.

Headed to San Diego after for 4 nights on the Wonder so we plan to go hard for the 3 days at DL and then relax on the cruise!
I hope all went well.

We had a great trip! Rainy on Sunday (Easter) but that helped with the crowds. The other two days were full of people but we navigated well with Genie+ and park hopping. We LOVED Disneyland (WDW is our home park) and can't wait to return someday!

The food - yall are so lucky! We are still talking about Bengal Barbeque and Jolly Holiday treats!
Glad you had a great trip! Sounds like we were there the same days, Sunday-Easter was the best day! We went to Plaza Inn and I had the Salmon and DH had the Pot Roast- very good! A lot of the quick service places are really good.

We are too young at heart 70-year-olds coming to Disneyland for the first time. May 6-10. We’ve been to WDW many many times, and am surprised to learn that there won’t be any fireworks at Disneyland for the four nights we are there.

Can this possibly be correct?

What time are you escorted out of the Disneyland Park if you don’t have tickets for the Star Wars event? We have reservations to eat at the Carnation Café on May 9 at 6:50 PM. That’s a Star Wars night.

There should be fireworks on the 10th, they typically are Fri/Sat/Sun that time of year. You will have to leave the park by 8pm on a Star Wars Nite.

Darn - we check out on the 10th. We saw there will be special. Pixar fest fireworks. Too bad we won’t be there on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Can you give me some idea about what sort of things people wear? Is it like Disneybounding, costumey, or just whatever?

All of the above. Some people go full costume, since it’s one of the few chances for adults to wear costumes in the park. My partner and I will be in screen accurate cosplay, but others in our group will be bounding with Star Wars like clothing (hooded dresses, boots, etc). The majority of guests were in plain clothing with some Star Wars merch like ears, backpacks, spirit jerseys, etc.

Thank you! I was trying to decide if I overdid it on the bounding LOL. I tend to get carried away...

It is our last day here and the crowds have been insane yesterday and today! No idea why they are so crazy. Mornings have been fantastic with low crowds and low wait times although the morning have been quite chilly. It got hot around 10am and the afternoons have been really hot so far.

Super fun trip so far but omg my feet are sore!

Taking my husband and 2 of the kids May 5-9, and staying at GCH for the first time. Decided since it might be our once in a lifetime to splurge on a cabana for our arrival day. We have Star Wars nite tickets for the 7th, which will also be my first after dark event so saying I am excited is a massive understatement. Only thing that could make it more perfect would be to pick up reservations for Centrico or Paseo when they open up.

We’ll be there 4/27-4/29, staying at BW Park Place. A few questions…why are fireworks not listed on the calendar? They will have them on a Sunday night right? Only Fire of the Rising Moon is listed at 9:30. Also, for Monday 4/29 at DCA it says they are closing at 9 for a special ticket event from 9-1, what is that?

DCA is probably closing from a grad night event.

for fireworks I've noticed Disney hasn't loaded show times for the new Pixar fireworks show that starts with Pixar fest on 4.26.

I just checked…grad nites don’t start until May 10. I guess it’s a private event?
