Barcelon questions

Montserrat is our favorite place to visit in/near Barcelona - don't miss it!

In town, do these in any order:

La Sagrada Familia
Parc Guell (with skip the line tickets)
Camp Nou
Gothic Quarter

And then if you still have time, visit Montjuic, Las Ramblas, and some of Gaudi's architectural pieces scattered around town.

Your budget and brand loyalty will have a bearing on your hotel choice. We chase the annual Marriott status nights when travelling and prefer the Barcelona EDITION or the Cotton House Hotel - but any of the Renaissance or Le Meridien properties in town will work.

We used Barcelona Day Tours because of recommendations on our Meet Thread in 2013, and we were very pleased.

One thing of note. We originally booked two tours for our arrival date. One was at night, dinner and shows. Two days away from landing, we realized we would be too tired to do the second tour. I emailed them from the ship and there was no problem with the cancellation.

We did the city tour, and then the next day, Montserrat and Cava country, and they were excellent!

We stayed at Hispanos 7 Suiza Apartments before our WBTA and liked the location- 4 minute walk to Sagrada Familia and the hop-on-off- bus was just around the corner.

We loved La Sagrada Familia - go up the tower for a fantastic view. As my DH is a football fan we toured Camp Nou and then went to a football match - the atmosphere was buzzing.
