Breakfast options

We also brought our own breakfast items (oatmeal packets, bagels and cereal) and then bought milk from the food court. We tried to buy the little packets of cream cheese, peanut butter and jam, but they wouldn't charge us (as long as people don't overdo it, they are complimentary). You can also buy 2 slices of bread for 75 cents (or so) and use their toasters or make peanut butter sandwiches. We were at POP and had a coffee maker so we could use that to make hot water for our oatmeal. We don't like to spend precious morning park hours eating, but 2 things we did make time for werethe Nutella and fruit waffle at Sleepy Hollow (Magic Kingdom), and the Tonga Toast at the quick serve in the Polynesian. We also brought portioned out trail mix and beef jerkey to snack on in the parks.

We usually get a pastry for breakfast (muffin, cinnamon roll, etc). They are inexpensive or you can use a snack credit if you are on the dining plan. Sometimes we get other snacks for breakfast like a cupcake or mickey pretzel. Hey, we're on vacation. :rolleyes1

We always took food for breakfast-like a tote full (we drive). Annnnnddd always brought most of it back. So I quit trying. No one wanted to eat so early in the morning.

We would just grab coffee and the kids would get a drink and we would head out. We would eat breakfast in the parks. Not the cheapest but doing it that way we skipped lunch (late and big breakfast=no one hungry) and then had an early supper.

We have groceries delivered. We have also packed a box of granola bars, cereal, and napkins in our checked bags.

We had a studio at AKL last year and ordered water, a bottle of wine, sandwich fixings, milk, coffee creamer, apples. oranges, carrot sticks, and chips. The fruit and veggies are a nice snack for before and after the parks. If we have a character breakfast, we always book it late so it's nice to have cereal for the kids to eat before we head to the parks.

Most mornings, we eat at the resort food court (I agree with splitting a bounty platter!) But for quick breakfasts in the room, I bring granola/protein bars, mini muffins, nuts/trail mix, that sort of thing.

I bring bran or oatmeal muffins, the package of little cereal boxes, and a box of Poptarts (a vacation treat) Buy milk at the resort store. I also pack spoons and paper bowls from the dollar store. DD eats breakfast while we shower in the morning, we eat when she gets dressed. If we do a character meal it will be breakfast, and maybe one morning we eat at the resort. It saves not only $$ but time. Most times DD can't wait to eat at a restaurant and needs to eat as soon as she gets up. sometimes we are able to save grapes or apple slices from her meals and put those in the fridge for the next morning.

We absolutely prefer breakfast in our room. We are EMH rope drop people and Time wise it just works best. We drive so a cooler is not a problem but we don’t always bring one. When we do, cheese sticks and ham slices and pepperoni are nice. We always bring muffins and fruit pouches and cups and bananas and cereal bars. We sometimes fill our mugs the night before ( no ice) and have in the refrigerator for breakfast. Sometimes we grab a danish the night before. We have also been known to eat leftover dessert for the night before. Occasionally we get a cinnamon roll from Gaston’s or a soft pretzel somewhere in the park. Always a big sit down breakfast on our departure morning.

Breakfast for us in the room when the kids were little worked best, once in the parks they would be so excited that you really could not get them to eat much. For us when we would head for the pool they would want something then not eat or drink it... so we start brings pool side eats and drinks, they would come over to the chairs and grab a couple of grapes, or cheese or whatever then back in the pool, then out a few more bites then back in again. This saved us a ton of money... plus they would eat something. We also would bring some mom and dad adult beverages another big savings...
