In Feb. we were at VB in an inn room and they had to replace our mattress. It was so badly sunk in on one side. Even though the rooms were recently refurbed I think the mattresses were not new. The other mattress was ok but was creaky every time you sat on it.It seems anytime we stay at a Studio, the beds are so uncomfortable/ Vero/ SSR/ Poly/ what is the deal....
and the hideaway beds.....YIKES
Anybody else?

I loved my very firm VAKL mattress this year, but we have noticed that my husbands side of the bed is always a little sunk - even when my side is firm and flat. We think it must be the case that his side of the bed (right side when laying on your back) is more popular with the men and the smaller (statistically speaking) women tend to sleep on the left.
Never heard that statistic before. I lie on the left side of the bed when you are standing at the foot of the bed looking towards the head of the bed and Bill sleeps on the right. Sounds like that might be opposite of what you are saying. We've done that for over 36 years and it was all because I wanted to be closer to bedside table so I could put my glasses there. I only had one bedside table and it fit better on the left side.I loved my very firm VAKL mattress this year, but we have noticed that my husbands side of the bed is always a little sunk - even when my side is firm and flat. Now, see I've always thought the reverse, Laying flat on the bed I sleep on my left, and my now ex slept on the right. Now, divorced, at times going to Disney and to ensure we have enough beds for all of the kids, my best friend of 22 yrs and I will often share the king. Problem, she sleeps on the left as well! Rule is, my DVC, I get the left, if and when you buy into DVC, using your points, I'll sleep on the right. And, we've talked about this too, all of the women I know, sleep on the left.We think it must be the case that his side of the bed (right side when laying on your back) is more popular with the men and the smaller (statistically speaking) women tend to sleep on the left.
We had a somewhat uncomfortable one at BCV a few trips ago. Every time I lay down it made the loudest creak I'd ever heard. Clearly the springs had seen better days. When we were heading to the pool the last full day, 2 guys showed up with a brand new mattress just for a routine scheduled replacement. Just my luck! I guess 1 out of 7 on a good mattress is better than none.
