Free Disney Tickets from Timeshare

Do you think its worth the 90 mins to get the free tickets and do they really give them to you? Can you upgrade a 1 day ticket that is free to apply to a hopper ticket?

Just trying to save some money.....

Two of my relatives (sister and cousin) did a timeshare deal and received tickets that they were promised..we are going to stay at oak plantation this month, and we have 2 day tickets for universal/islands of adventure for 4. The total cost is under 400 for 4 days and 3 nights! Give it a try!

I can understand the wanting to save money, however that said....

I somehow think that 90 minute tour will be more like a half day. Also I believe (and I'm sure someone will correct me) that are just one day tickets and cannot be used for any type of upgrade.

My personal suggestion is to do yourself a favor, buy the tickets you want and use the extra "time saved" to enjoy your time at disney. You'll get a much better bang for your buck.

I have a coworker who does this every trip. He said I should consider on my next trip, but I won't and here are my reasons.
1- my vacation time is to precious. It is not worth loosing the time for the ticket price.
2- I have jelly in my spine. It is hard for me to say NO to people, even when I know I need to. I would squirm around for a couple of hours and then fake an illness to get out of there.( I know this is a problem I need to work on)

My coworker has a spine and is very cheap!!! He loves doing this. It just depends on the person.

If you have the time and have no problem telling extremely pushy and high pressure sales people no - then go for it. We were going to go on one the Sat. we got to Orlando because we had nothing planned and they were supposed to give us 2 2-day Universal tickets. However, once I found out about the FL Lotto deal that gets you 2 days for the price of 1 - I figured why waste the time. I'll stay an extra night with my folks in Ocala!

Also - be aware that they say a 90 minute TOUR and then a sales presentation. I've heard they usually are more like 3 hours total.

We do this almost every trip. We always seem to have extra time so we have a free breakfast and take about 2 hrs. in the morning....if you go in and make it clear that you do not intend to buy and are there just for the tickets they will speed you through, once we did this he said okay and then we spent the whold time talking about Disney World.. also another tip...do not ask any questions and don't act the least bit interested, this works for us everytime.....we have gotten Animal Kingdom tickets and Universal 2 day tickets, which makes the trip to Universal worth it. Of course if you don't have the extra time, don't waste it.....

But only because I had heard of Vistana Here on the Dis.
There are 3 of us Dh,me Dw ,and Dd[who counts as a n adult]!!

Well, I didn't want to go unless we could get as good or better tickets.

We Got 3day, 2park, early entry, silver stra passes!! We paid $70.00 for 2 Adults and $90. for DD's adult ticket! this saved us a lot of money!! And gave us EARLY ENTRY,TOO!!

fOR US THE 2 HRS. PAID OFF!!!:bounce: :bounce:

I did two different ones, and they don;t liek it when you say youa re willing ot spend o dolalrs a month!!! I ended up with a two day disney pass, and a universal one.

If you say no andn o, it is fine, and i still saw all i needed to. It saved me dollars t obuy souvineers and save cash for london, my next stop.

Most time share presentations take about 3 hours, and yes, you do have to be rude to say no. To make saying no easier, see the Disney Vacation Club. Our first time, we said no and were out in 35 minutes. Also, after seeing disney, you can compare to the other timeshares out there. We bought DVC, but we still listen to other presentations once or twice a year. Sometimes, the perks are pretty good. For instance, at Williamsburg, VA, I had to reserve for $99. We got two nights at a hotel(sleep inn), breakfasts at the hotel, a coupon book, two adult passes to Williamsburg ($60 for two), $30 for dinner at one of 6 restaurants, a $30 gift Certificate at an outlet mall(got $15 sandals and 15 cash back) and $50 cash after we heard the presentation. Since we had always wanted to take the kids there, it was worth it for us, and the DVC still seemed to be a better deal.

I did one in Sept 99. I work with a staff of piranha sales reps so I'm totally immune to them. They sikked everyone they had on me but I left with my dignity, a limo ride and $100! It was my last day in Orlando so I took the money instead of the tickets. The tickets, I understand were selling for $20 apiece.

I thought it was a very profitable two hours!

did the limo ride and breakfast and a 90 minute tour, and two free tickets to Universal or disney your choice, and a kimo ride to the park.
That was westgates deal.

I was told by some of the timeshare hosts that the Disney and other passes they give as rewards have expiration dates, typically a year from the time the timeshare office got the batch, although they look the same as passes purchased directly from Disney, etc. that don't have expiration dates.

I have been to some of these presentation and each time I ask if they would not mind letting me do a self guided tour as if to save the salesman's spending time with me when I am not buying the timeshare. So far they have always insisted in escorting me.
