The stage (#3) is now removed nightly from the viewing area well before the fireworks begin.

The big courtyard in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater is a good place to be. They will show laser projections on the buildings and shoot fireworks over the rooftops, so you want to find a spot without too many trees in the way.

Yup, this - what Sue said. Worked great this past Monday, right after the newish feature Animation. Both were great.
