Can someone help me with the CSR double dipping? I'm not sure if this is even the travel credit double dipping discussed here.....DH got the CSR in April and got the $300 travel credit for 2017 over April and May. We just came back from Florida and he was credited the airport parking fee of $34. We are confused because he already got the credit for 2017. Does this mean we can charge $266 more in travel by the end of December and have it credited without affecting the 2018 year? We are going back to Disney in Jan 2018 and planned on using the 2018 credit for food while there. Hope this makes sense!

as far as spouse signups....my DH has long ago gotten used to me signing him up for whatever is the 'right' card for now.... the only thing I try to avoid b/c he hates it is hom having to deal with calling the cc company for any reason.... usually it's just to cancel a card etc or something but once in a while he has to and then he grumbles. But overall he doesn't care, and trusts me enough to just do whatever I need to do. And he thinks I can magically make travel happen for free lol (I can't,but I'm good at getting the discounts)

Same. DH had to call recently to set up a separate login to use Chase Pay. He gave permission for them to speak with me, so we were both on the line. The support specialist was hilarious as she was asking us questions trying to verify identity. I was answering everything, and she paused and asked DH if he knew his own address. Then made a comment about women ruling the finances. We were cracking up.

Has his December 2017 statement already cut? The "calendar year" travel credit for those who got CSR prior to May 2017 will restart after the December 2017 statement cuts. My DH's statement cut yesterday and his travel credit is now showing as $0, so I plan to use it up before PCing his card. He got his in Feb 2017.

I placed a WM order today- Dh's card, using chase pay- order seemed to go thru fine.... I got an email saying they have a problem with the payment method I used, and click here to up date it.... when I go to the WM site (separate window) I see my order, and no problems on my guest checkout page - still showing as shipping by a certain date...is this a legit email?

it does sound suspicious, whats the email that it is sent from?

im a big clueless with my WM order... it has disappeared off my freedom account, but the order is shipped. im not sure if it will reappear any time soon.

Gahhhhh, I am still a chicken. I just spent about 20 minutes going through the CIP application. Took me forever to pick my business type. Then I get to the very end where it says i agree this is for business purposes only and I will not use for personal use, blah blah blah, and I can not do it. I just shut it all down. I know everyone is doing it, but I have a problem with following rules. lol Other ideas for me?

Your business is to run your household. Therefore whatever you buy is considered a business expense. :]

I get nervous every time I submit an application. Today I had to call chase reconsideration to move credit around in order to get the Marriott card. I still feel like I’m doing something wrong whenever I apply for a new card. But really you should go submit the CIP app. Chase has no idea what is or isn’t a business expense and you can’t get in trouble unless you are lying to the IRS. If it makes you feel better I didn’t have any business expense put onto the CIP. It was all personal spend. I even did bank account funding to meet the minimum spend and bought a video game for my sister on Steam. I haven’t had any issues.

I was leery of going back to that email to see where it's really from, and I know a good scam email can look pretty legit. I just can't think of a reason why there would be an issue anyway.

I would check the sender address. Probably fake email. Otherwise I'd wait and see, Walmart send multiple emails when shipping. Is it pending in your Chase account?

WM charges especially seem to drop on & off my account. Between pending & posted, at least a day or 2, sometimes longer, they are not visible

Now I'm wishing I hadn't bothered..... ugh it's not showing as anything on the cc page at all- Update- I went to the WM page and canceled order.... worrying about this isn't worth my time right now.... I have suitcases to pack for this weekend!

I've noticed this too which my Chase accounts, but with all merchants. Charges simply disappear between pending and posting. I figure its a glitch with Chase's systems. I've gotten used to it.

I don't know what "cut" means. He opened the card in April 2017....

I've never done a Price Protection claim, I've usually been able to get an adjustment at the store and not had to worry. However, I bought a phone at the Microsoft store and of course like 3 days later they put it on a better sale and I forgot to call to get the adjustment before the sale ended. Since I used my Freedom card for it I thought I'd just file a price protection claim, but I'm wondering how strict they are with the details?

It says they want the store receipt with the last 4 digits of the credit card used imprinted, but the store didn't give a physical receipt, they only emailed it and of course it doesn't list the payment method other than "credit". Personally I think it's pretty easy to match up if I give my statement as well, but in your experience am I screwed because we live in a paperless world now?

I believe they mean the billing cycle that ends in Dec. If you look at the list of statements for 2017, is there one for Dec xx there? If so then the December statement has been cut; or posted, completed, however you want to look at it.

I just recently started filing price protection claims with my Chase cards. I've filed 6 so far and have been paid on 5, with one still pending. Not all of my receipts showed the last 4 of the cc number, so I'd encourage you to give it a try. I think on every claim I've submitted I've received some kind of follow up request for more documentation, but it hasn't been too burdensome to provide (and worth receiving those checks). I also had to call a couple of times to discuss a follow-up request because it seemed like something I had already provided. I have found that they are sticklers for you being able to provide a screen shot or printout of the advertisement with the lower price that shows the date you saw the ad. Having that date is key.

Thanks! Yes, it was only advertised on the website but the price would have been good in store too, so I made sure when I screenshoted it to get the sales dates and the date stamp of when I took the screenshots (took 2 to get the full page with the description and sale dates). Then totally forgot to call the store to see what I needed to do to get the adjustment. I'll be putting it through tonight then :D
