(Insert Catchy Title Here) ... Our Oct 08 Trip Report in Pictures ~ UPDATED LAST DAY

Great pics Bonny! Who was that ghost person you have a video of? She was so funny!!

Screamfest really doesn't fit into any park, however since the majority of our TR is on the Universal side, we thought we'd include Screamfest here ...

... and just FYI - pics here are from both Lee's and my camera ...

On with the show ...

We were up bright and early and on way to Screamfest by 10 am. As we had VIP passes, we were allowed into the venue an hour earlier than the general public ... :cool1:

We found a place to park and made our way into the hotel and found that although we had early entry - none of the celebrities were available at their tables for signing yet. Early entry - big whoopdy dooo ... at least we got a good parking spot.

Eventually the celebrities made their way down and we made our way into the autograph room ... of course Lee made a beeline for one specific table :rotfl:

I headed over to visit with our friend Bill Hinzman ... today he was in make-up as usual ...

DSC02110.jpg

Next up was Malcolm McDowell (Clockwork Orange, Doomsday, Heroes)

IMG_1770.jpg

Ashley Laurence (Hellraiser) ... unfortunately Ashley had lost her voice and had to communicate via writing notes to everyone ...

IMG_1771.jpg

DSC02139.jpg

After leaving Ashley's table I couldn't find Lee, however easily found him near a certain someone's table ...

About this time our tummies were starting to complain, so we made a trek across the street for something to eat ... which was a good thing as I needed a break from all the goings on at the convention.

We returned about an hour later and meandered around ...

... continued in next post

After buying Lee's ticket for a professional photo with Elvira, we headed back into the autograph room ...

Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead, The Devils Rejects, Halloween)

David Emge (Dawn of the Dead)

IMG_1774.jpg

Scott Reininger (Dawn of the Dead)

... and we ran into these two clowns ...

IMG_1790.jpg

There were, of course, other celebrities in attendance (but we had either not taken photos, gotten their autographs previously, or weren't interested in getting their autograph this time around) ...

Corey Haim
William Forsythe
Daeg Faerch
J Larose
Brooke McCarter
Alex Vincent
Jason Mewes
Michael Berryman
Ken Kirzinger (a fellow Canadian & all around nice guy) :thumbsup2
The Cenobytes from Hellraiser

After wandering around, it was time to for Lee to get in line for his photo op with Elvira. We snagged a couple chairs by the entrance to the photo room which just happened to be right beside the table for pick-up of photos ... we couldn't help but laugh when we saw this pic and just had to take a picture of it ...

Here's Lee's prized photo with Elvira ...

After waiting around to pick up Lee's picture, we had a bit of time before heading to the VIP party later that evening, so we took a few more pics ...

... then headed off to the hotel lobby to sit until it was time to head to the VIP party.

We arrived at the VIP party just as it was starting - as did most of the other VIP guests - to partake in the open bar (ah the perks of a VIP pass :goodvibes ). We then set off to take more pics ...

Angus Scrimm (Phantasm)

Our buddy, Ken Kirzinger ...

All the Cenobytes from Hellraiser (plus a lawyer) ...

Simon Bamford (friendliest Brit you could ever meet)

IMG_1802.jpg

The party was in full swing by now and the guests (who had been drinking for a while now) were trying to keep us entertained by singing karaoke (I honestly think Karaoke is tone deaf in Japanese) ... Someone had requested the song "Cry Little Sister" from the Lost Boys Soundtrack, so Brooke McCarter who played Paul in the movie decided to get his drum out and play along ... who knew he was darn good??

IMG_1797.jpg

I was taking pictures and about half way through the song, his assistant motioned to me to go up and hold the mic for Brooke ...

After our performance, we made our rounds said our good nights and headed back to the resort ... it was a LONG but enjoyable day and we both were very tired.

... Up next our last day .... Universal and one last night at HHN.

Awesome pics of the screamfest! I wasn't aware one was going on in Orlando during HHN. Is that an annual event? :thumbsup2

WOW!!!!! Loved the TR!!! Awesome job on all of the pics! I can't wait to go for our first time.:hyper:

That Screamfest looks kool. What is the cost for the event??

Great pics by the way!!:thumbsup2

I honestly can't remember what a weekend pass cost as we bought the VIP pass ... I think it was something like $45 for the weekend. We like the VIP pass because of the VIP party on Saturday night with the celebs plus you get a few other goodies ...

* A laminate VIP pass.
* Limited Edition Spooky Empire T-Shirt.
* Admission to the festival for the full weekend, with access to the show 1 hour before doors open each day.
* Seating in the first three rows at all Q&As and seminars.
* Fast access to celebrity autograph lines, no waiting in lines. You will be escorted to the front of the line.
* Access to the VIP party on Saturday night with open bar, live DJ, prizes and giveaways.

The VIP pass was $150 for the weekend.

Boma is a buffet ... they have quite a variety and yes they have mac & cheese.

As for the values - we've only ever stayed at POP ... :confused3

sr moment, sorry, was thinking Jikko-the other one

She was "sitting" outside the Haunted Mansion heckling at the guests as they walked by. She was great!

she was :cool1:, wish they'd have more interactive stuff of this sort

Screamfest sounds like alot of fun, i've never heard of it

... betcha guys thought we forgot all about posting the last day ... :rolleyes1

After the excellent time at the Screamfest VIP party the night before, (and getting back to the resort fairly late) we decided to sleep in this morning. We also decided to do our packing … just in case we needed to head to Wal-Mart for another suitcase to bring home all our souvies  … as it would turn out – everything fit just fine. Unfortunately though, as we were packing, Lee realized he had forgotten his camera case at the Wyndham  – but a quick call to the hotel eased his fears that it was gone forever when they said someone had turned it in and they had it for him to pick up at the front desk. :cool1:

As we were meeting one of our good friends for lunch at Margaritaville, we texted her to let her know we were running a bit late and after stopping to refill our refillable mugs at the resort food court, we were off to pick up Lee’s camera case then headed over to Universal.

After a perfect lunch with great company, we headed over to the Studios to stroll around and take a few more daytime pics before making our way over to Finnegan’s one last time for our final HHN Stay and Scream before heading home …

As you can see, arriving at Finnegan’s, we snagged our favorite chairs by the bar to wait for our release from the Stay and Scream area ...

… to be continued …

We had not planned to do any houses or shows tonight, so once we were released from the Stay and Scream area, we were off to enjoy the atmosphere and take more pics … unfortunately Bonny had packed her spare camera battery that afternoon and had forgotten to charge up the one in the camera (does DOH come to mind??) but was able to get some pictures before the battery died totally. Thank goodness we also had Lee’s camera!!
