July 2012 Resort and ADR Lists Thread...Countdown to Disney!

We're at POR July 20-26. DS birthday on July 25. He is competing in the AAU DII Nationals, our 6th trip to wdw in the last five years, but first to POR! One other family dedcided to stay onsite. The others are off: Fools.

Just switched from Poly to POFQ Can you change me on the list? Poly is my favorite, but the budget called for a moderate this time around. Its okay...my goal is to stay at all of them at some point, so we might as well start now. I will still visit the Poly alot since I still have my 2 Kona ADRs.

Oh yeah.....I forgot.....I booked the Wishes Dessert Party for July 20th! Yay! Very excited about this. Anyone done it before?

Yay for the Wishes Dessert Party! I am sure it will be great! I have always wanted to try it but can't justify it with paying for the dining plan too. I saw on your trip report that you changed resorts. I am sure you and Dani will enjoy Disney no matter where you stay. I love POFQ too. It's got such a great atmosphere. There is always the Poly another time right?

I totally understand about not wanting to pay for the dessert party. I can't believe its not on the dining plan! But we are going OOP anyway, and with the lower resort price I can afford to do a few fun things

I know we will love POFQ. We played around there a little on our Feb trip and we just loved it. I was just worried about the transportation with it being so hot and crowded, but we will manage. Dani is just excited to go, she doesn't care where we stay

I am glad you can finally say Final to your plans. I keep changing my mind about ADRs. I think I am finally done changing though.

My wife and I are staying at POR from July 27-29, and then the whole family comes down from July 29-Aug. 4 at BWV! So far, here are our ADR's, I'm sure I'm going to try for more!

July 31 -Ohana 6:50

I added Boma at 4:40 on July 20th

And the Fireworks Dessert Party on the 20th also! Very excited about both of these. Although, I think we will need to walk the whole of WDW to make room for the dessert party after all the yummy food at Boma! Maybe we can run the marathon route after dinner Yeah, probably not. I made the Boma ressie for early on so we would have time enough. Afterall, Wishes doesn't start until 10, so we should have a few hour in between anyway.

I am a hopeless changer! But, I have finally settled on a reservation that I am very happy with.

Our full trip is now at the Wilderness Lodge (Club Level!!!), arriving 7/15 and staying until 7/25/12.

The only ADR's we changed were on 7/21, we are at Artist Point for dinner instead of Cali Grill. And then on 7/19, we are doing lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe instead of doing dinner at Kona!

Ha Ha....welcome to the club I struggle with this and still am. I have picked up the phone to call and change things too many times to count. Thank goodness they won't let you change things online....thats the only thing stopping me WL is beautiful! You will have a blast!

Yeah, I've seen that thread. I was on it for a while in Feb before our last trip. But I am really trying to stick with this last change (from Poly to POFQ) because it saves me $800! I don't think that thread would help me It would just make me want to change again!

Beth what are your dates? I would go with the contemporary, I have looked at many reviews (as you have also) and tend to believe the dessert party is overrated for the cost involved. Just my opinion though as I have never been.

Got it! I love Boma! And I think you will have plenty of time in between to do the Dessert part. Sounds awesome.
