LURKYLOO's Wedding Trippie: Morocco/Attic/Lower UK: Wedding Album + Gown Preservation

At about 6pm we ordered room service and had a quiet dinner while I touched up and re-accessorized my outfit like Day-to-Night Barbie.

that's just great!

that a desert party was smoochtastic!

i'm so glad you got to keep the extra's! i hate when they tell brides that they can't take it with them! why throw away all those extra sweets!!!!!!

i just showed mark your pictures and he said you were very "spunky" which is a compliment! he loves the pics of you guys "eating fireworks..."

I'm so glad we are having a dessert party now I was starting to question my choice on this but after your description and photos I'm keeping it :)

A beautiful end to a magical day

I think my favourite picture is actually the one where you have your backs to the camera and are watching the fireworks together, it seems really romantic to me.

Loving your report and your wedding! Great that you made it your day original and FUN!

I've thoroughly enjoyed reading all about your day! It seems like you both had THE best of times and I absolutely love your photographs! Especially the ones were you are making fun of yourself! I had (it ended up in the bin) a wedding album full of stuffy and formal shots from my first wedding that I hated looking at, so my only requirment with our photographer is that the pictures have to informal and fun... me and my DF never take ourselves too seriously which is what i'm wanting to reflect in our photos... I'm thinking of sending him the link to your TR so he can see EXACTLY what I mean!!! :goodvibes

I just read over everything and WOW. You have such an amazing and funky style, and you two are obviously perfect for each other. I learned so much from reading your TR--we're also doing a brunch, and now I'm going to ask to move some of the food around (bc even the biggest eaters in our party can't manage to get to all the food in three hours). Congratulations, and I can't wait to read the next installment!

It's great that you got so many yummy desserts to take home. I need to make sure I tell my mom to bring some ziplocs!

I LOVEEEE the chocolate peanut butter marshmallow bars. In fact, I've tried to make them more than once but to no avail. I cannot figure out the recipe but if I do, I'll send it your way :)

I love the Illuminations pictures. Your wedding day seemed truly magical.

Check over on the restauarant section, they have an ongoing thread with recipes of favorite WDW foods. You might get lucky. :woohoo:

Your TR is so wonderful........I love all of the details and all of the photos detailing what happened throughout the day.....As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words!

Oh, and I'm definitely showing your dessert party photos to my DF.....he's still on the fence on whether to even have one!

I love your trip report! Your pictures are fabulous and you looked so beautiful, in love, and happy. So glad you had such a wonderful day!

Yay to Carrie and Patrick for afternoon naps, random smoochiness, food porn and fireworks and an added bonus of dessert smuggling!

pirate: That's right - we're food pornographers AND smugglers!

OMG....I am getting soo Jelous, I want a desert party!!!!!!!!!!

You should totally do it - even if it means the bridesmaids go nekkid and the food is catered by Denny's!

I love your outfit change, the bolero is beautiful! Did many guests notice your quick-change of accessories??Mmm... those peanut butter marshmallow squares sound amazing! :goodvibes Are they automatically part of the "For the Child In You" menu? If they're not, I'm definitely asking for them! :rotfl:

I think my guests noticed, but those looks of admiration could have been for the Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Squares....:rotfl: And yes, they are part of the Child In You menu. If you've got it on your BEO, you're golden - unfortunately, I saw the new DP menus, and it looks like future brides won't get a chance to try them... :sad1:

Absolutely Lovely....
Thanks!!

Your dessert party looks amazing!! I'm really considering having one now!
You should! (see "Denny's," above) :yay:

Your pictures are gorgeous! I've checked 3 times today to see if anything new has been posted. I should be studying for a exam on Wednesday. I wish you and your new husband many lifetimes of joy and happiness.

Aw... thanks! Now get back to work, you!! :teacher:

Love the report Carrie - you were a beautiful bride!

Oooh – please do! Is there someplace else at WDW that you can get them besides dessert parties?

I'm loving the pictures!

Yay!

i just showed mark your pictures and he said you were very "spunky" which is a compliment! he loves the pics of you guys "eating fireworks..."

:lmao: I am flattered....

I'm so glad we are having a dessert party now I was starting to question my choice on this but after your description and photos I'm keeping it

Hooray! It is totally worth it – nowhere else can you do something like this at a wedding!

I think my favourite picture is actually the one where you have your backs to the camera and are watching the fireworks together, it seems really romantic to me.

Aw, thanks! I have to say, I am liking our DP pictures more and more....

Loving your report and your wedding! Great that you made it your day original and FUN!

Totally – fun was our M.O. all the way!

my only requirment with our photographer is that the pictures have to informal and fun... me and my DF never take ourselves too seriously which is what i'm wanting to reflect in our photos... I'm thinking of sending him the link to your TR so he can see EXACTLY what I mean!!!

You should! And it sounds like you and DF should have no trouble taking fun pictures if you’re as goofy as we are!

I learned so much from reading your TR--we're also doing a brunch, and now I'm going to ask to move some of the food around (bc even the biggest eaters in our party can't manage to get to all the food in three hours).

I’m so glad I could help out ... and I have to tell you, one of our guests accidentally filled up on the pre-reception food and couldn’t eat brunch – there was so much to eat, she thought that was the entire meal!

Oh, and I'm definitely showing your dessert party photos to my DF.....he's still on the fence on whether to even have one!

I know I keep saying this, but the DP is a unique feature that only Disney offers, and it’s the thing your guests will be talking about for years!

I love your trip report! Your pictures are fabulous and you looked so beautiful, in love, and happy. So glad you had such a wonderful day!

That is really sweet of you to say!

Hang in there everyone – more to come today....

OK, this is the closest I could find to what we had at the DP... :thumbsup2

Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Squares Recipe

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
12 oz chocolate chips
3 cups miniature marshmallows
Peanut butter chips for topping

Mix butter, peanut butter, and chocolate chips in a double boiler just till melted, then remove from heat. Place 3 cups miniature marshmallows in a buttered pan and spread on warm mixture. Save a few chips and marshmallows to decorate the top, or be generous and add extra.

Cut in squares when cool.

Oh yeah I just wrote that down!! :worship:

I'm so glad you shared some pictures of your dessert party. So many times there aren't that many pictures of anything, especially the food, so thank you for sharing! I hope ours next week turns out as great as yours did and I'm glad to hear that no one gave your MIL a hassle about the leftovers because we already have baggies packed since we were planning to take ours home too! :rotfl:

Oh my gosh - your wedding is so close! I can't wait to see all your plans come together! popcorn::

One thing abut those leftovers... on our honeymoon we ended up getting so many free desserts with our bride & groom ears, plus we had leftover cake, that we had to throw a lot of them out.... :sad1: So long, chocolate peanut butter marshmallow bars...

Love your photos and the deserts look amazing. We really wanted this menu but yes, this is no longer an option for the desert parties (our wedding is November 2008 so I am not sure when they are changing but we cannot get this). The new menu does not look as good (and of course it is more expensive). We will be down in May for a planning meeting and food tasting so we will have to see what we will get. There is NO WAY I am giving up my desert party.

Linda

Carrie your wedding looked AWESOME!!! Where did you get that crocodile cake knife from? its sooooo cute:goodvibes

Linda,
I noticed that there are a lot of changes that happened from our November Site visit to the packet we got from our Planner just about a week ago. Menus, prices...:scared1: It's almost like "cookie cutter" stuff. One size fits all. It's kinda sad. :sad2:

Carrie,
If I've said it once I've said it 1000 times.

WOW!

Your day looks like it was very magical! You are a beautiful bride! Best wishes to you and your new husband.
