We'll be going to two parties in late September - and at the first one, all 17 of us will have matching costumes as original Mouseketeers! We have matching off white mock turtlenecks with our names in a sparkly Disney font, and red "1957" Mouseketeer patches, and those will be paired with regulation mouse ears and black pants for the men and long pleated skirts for the women - saddle shoes optional!

My niece has MS so Annette Funicello is very dear to us, so I made this special shirt for my sister, the main coordinator of our trips:

I am SUPER looking forward to all 17 of us hitting the party together - from age 91 to age 5!

I have a pre-trip report with lots of craft and scrapbooking things on it, but it's on the Universal Trip Reports thread because though we're staying at Shades of Green and doing two MNSSHP's, several of us are spending the remainder of the week at Universal doing Wizarding World stuff. In case anyone is interested:

I have to say, I am loving this thread! FoxC63 is so helpful and welcoming, and I'm in love with Bob and Betty!

We're not sure about costumes or trick or treating, Bob and I have never done either in our lifetime. What will the weather be like in October?

I fervently hope that Betty and Bob dress up (as it sounds like they have decided to do - though I'm still reading back on page 12!) and I strongly encourage them to go trick or treating. You'll get a treat bag when you enter the park, or bring a tote bag that matches your costume, and as you go around the park, you'll see treat vendors here and there - don't be shy - go right up and trick or treat!

This is your chance to take part in a great American tradition - one that perhaps wasn't offered when you were a child - and now you'll be able to do that. No one will think a thing of it, other than to be charmed by your participation in the party! Get that candy!!!

And thanks FoxC63 for the super fun thread.

I have yet to book tickets, will wait till we are a bit closer as I am deciding between 2 days. But DH and I have decided to do a simple disney bound mickey and Minnie. DD10 wants to wait till we get to DW and decide on which princess dress she wants. I love that she is still super keen on one even at this age. I did worry that she was getting a bit past it all, but no, she is firmly immersed in the idea of all the magic.

The first aid kit sounds good, but I swear by moleskin, as it doesn't slip like bandaids. I buy it by the sheet and cut small ovals of it and keep a few in my travel purse (in case the ones I applied that morning come loose, or new hot spots develop). Moleskin Rah Rah Sis Boom Bah!

(I think I'm dating myself with that cheer.)
