My Goal --- To BQ some day. Next attempt Fall 2013

Week 1 of my marathon plan is in the books. I am going to try to post every week. My week runs Sun-Sat.

Week 1 was a disaster. I started coming down with a cold Saturday night. Felt horrible on the drive back from WDW Sunday.

Mon 6.9 miles 9:12 pace
Tues 9.1 miles 8:49 pace with 4 @ 8:15 pace

That was it for the week. The cold went to my chest and a couldn't run without coughing.

Still a rough week for me. Was still feeling the chest cold the first half of the week. I also tripped on a sidewalk crack on Wednesday's run and went down hard. Bloody nose, skinned hands, banged my right knee hard. The knee is still hurting but didn't seem to get worse when I ran the next few days.

Ouch!! Hope you feel better soon!

The sidewalks around here are terrible! I tripped but caught myself the other day, I told my husband if I fall on someone's neglected sidewalk I'll be knocking on their door for band aids!
 
Thanks, I am feeling much better. That is only the second time in 8 years that I have tripped. I try to run in the street as much as possible. It was dark and I was headed towards the street when it happened. Still ran 5 miles afterwards :).

It is weird but I am still feeling the chest cold from a couple of weeks ago. My knee was hurting when I woke up Wed and Thur so I rested instead of running. Sunday's long run felt good. That was the longest I have gone in a couple of years.

This was a better week. Knee was feeling better and my chest is mostly clear. Didn't plan on running twice on Sunday. My 13 year old daughter asked me to run with her and I couldn't say no. That was the highlight of the week. Should have run 10-12 on Wednesday but I went to bed late and hardly slept so I skipped the morning run. Just ran a short run during lunch.

Felt great this week. Knee is fully recovered. I am still at 154 pounds. I am still 15 pounds to heavy.

Only 10 weeks to go until the Goofy. This was a good training week for me. I didn't plan on my long run to be the fastest run of the week. I was just running easy but the pace was just faster.

Great week for me. Heart rate keeps coming down and my pace is picking up. Weight is also down to 152. That is still 12 pounds to much but it is going in the right direction. I have now lost 20 pounds since 5/1.
