How about a few fun facts for another of Disney's loveable little hilarious creations? Who doesn't love Stitch?!

1) Stitch is big in Japan – although the little blue fella is popular in the U.S., he’s especially beloved in Japan. Not only can you find oodles of cute Stitch cell-phone charms and other paraphernalia, but he’s earned himself an anime (the distinctive Japanese animation style) remake of “Lilo & Stitch,” set on a fictional Japanese island rather than Hawai’i – plus two Japanese animated TV series. In Japan, Stitch is still called Stitch, but his little-girl best buddy is named Yuna and she’s a karate whiz instead of a surfer.

2) With his impeccable taste in music (and his obsession with Elvis Presley), Stitch is a natural to DJ your next pool party or luau-themed barbecue – and he can, thanks to the “Lilo & Stitch” soundtrack (think lots o’ Elvis, plus the utterly infectious “Hawai’ian Roller-Coaster Ride”). A now-out-of-print second volume, “Lilo & Stitch: Island Favorites,” boasted a blend of songs from and about Hawai’i, including “Pineapple Princess” by Disney’s own Annette Funicello, plus even more Elvis.

3) What’s the sitch with Stitch anyway? He’s an escapee from an alien genetic experiment, designed to create mayhem and chaos wherever he goes, only to land in Hawai’i where he’s adopted by a little girl as the oddest “dog” ever. This much is established in “Lilo & Stitch” – in “Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch,” “Leroy & Stitch,” “Lilo & Stitch: The Series,” and “Stitch: The Movie,” Stitch shows himself as a reformed character (more or less) who helps to round up his fellow escaped experimental creatures. Since Stitch is Experiment 626, there are 625 earlier incarnations of chaos out there on the loose! Hint: If you want more details on Stitch’s backstory, the short subject video “The Origin of Stitch” is just what you’re looking for – you’ll find it as a bonus feature on the DVD release of “Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch.”

4) Know who’s the official voice of Stitch? It’s none other than his creator and the co-director of “Lilo & Stitch,” the multitalented Chris Sanders! Chris has voiced his creation in every movie and series except for the Japanese productions. And why not? He must know Stitch better than anyone else – although we’re sure he has much better table manners.

5) The Hawai’ian setting is an integral part of “Lilo & Stitch” – from Lilo’s hula classes to Stitch’s exuberant discovery of surfing. And yet in the first draft of the script, the story took place in Kansas!

6) Do you remember Stitch’s fatal weakness? Tough as he is (he withstands getting hit by a truck without being fazed one bit), water is terribly dangerous to him. Not the best Achilles’ heel for a guy who lives on an island chain! It’s a good thing he’s got family looking out for him.
