Disney has announced today the 2012/2013 Military Ticket Promotion. It is similar to past promotions.
Tickets will be available for sale beginning October 1, 2012 and will be valid only through September 28, 2013.
There will be three types of tickets available at WDW.
Four Day Park Hopper - $156 (plus tax)
Four Day Base with Water Parks Fun and More - $156 (plus tax)
Four Day Hopper with WPF&M - $184 (plus tax)
Tickets sold at military installation, or Shades of Green, will not have tax added and may be sold at a lower price if the installation desires.
Eligibility: Active and Retired U.S. Military, including National Guard, Reservists, and Coast Guard. It also includes Permanently Disabled Veterans with a Government ID showing DAVPRM. A foreign/coalition partner stationed at a U.S., Base who has a permanent US Military (CAC ) card will be allowed to purchase/activate tickets.
As far as Disney is concerned, a service member does not have to buy or activate all tickets at the same time. As long as you do not buy/activate more than six tickets during the promotion. Note that it seems that the military will only make the sale at one time. So if you will be buying the tickets on base, but doing more than one trip, you have to purchase all at one time on base only.
If the service member is not able to come to WDW, the Spouse is eligible to purchase a total of six tickets.
Blockout Dates: All Parks - December 24 - 31, 2012, and March 24 - April 4, 2013. Additionally, the Magic Kingdom only will be blocked out July 4, 2013.
Any ticket sold at other than a WDW ticket or Guest Relations window must be activated prior to its use. Name, address, date oif birth, and telephone number must be provided at time of activation or purchase at WDW.
A ticket that is either a hopper or has WPF&M can be upgraded for $28 (plus tax) each to add the other option. The service member does not have to be present to do the upgrade. Additionally these tickets may be upgraded to any level of Annual Pass for which the person is eligible (proof of Florida Residency for a Seasonal or Weekday Select Pass or an Annual or Premium at Resident rates).
Days beyond four cannot be added to the tickets, and they cannot have the No-Expire Option.
Back-to-back use by one person is not allowed. Seven calendar days must separate usages by the same party.
