I'm back!
Just back from a nice evening at Outback. Before I recap on the day I should reply to a couple of queries.
PJB71 - Windsor Hills is very nice. All the properties look lovely. We haven't experienced the club house yet as we're only 3 days in. A plus point for me is the proximity to the parks and some good eating places nearby on the 192. I'll let you know once we experience clubhouse, pool etc.
A question for the guys who pointed me in the direction of Ale House, Sweet Tomotoes etc. I think I should turn right at the top Old Lake Wilson and head towards the I4 or should I go in the opposite direction? Let me know if you can?
So what did we do today? Epcot and as I said it was hot hot hot!! The storm passed overnight and we woke to a gorgeous blue sky. Once again we arrive for rope drop. JoJo 66 mentioned that 'you've done so much already'. We always take advantage of the girls waking early in the first week. So we get to the parks first thing and gather fast passes and do all the rides before it gets really busy. We can then take it easy when the heat gets uncomfortable. As the days go by the girls will wake later but it's OK because we can arrive at the parks later and take our time a bit more. It works for us.
Favourite rides today were Soarin and Test Track as voted by the girls. The 7 year old laughed hysterically throughout Test Track! We rode both of these twice (using Fastpasses - no queuing for us!).
The worst ride today was Captain EO - one word = dreadful! Sorry if there are any fans out there!
I enjoyed watching Minnie Mouse at the Character Greeting Spot today. The rest of the family has toddled of somewhere, so I was just gazing through the window.... I could have watched for hours as she welcomed a different family, little girl etc - the way she interacts with each family is amazing - relentlessly, one after another! The queue was huge to join so I promised Isabella we would meet the characters next time (that's the sort of thing we save for later in the trip).
My girls were very pleased with themselves today as they spotted 2 Hidden Mickeys - that's become a recent thing for us.
I also enjoyed the Nemo ride - I couldn't help but sing along..... 'In a deep blue world.......in a deep bluuee world'!
As i said we had a lovely meal at Outback this evening and lots of fun too!
Tomorrow Hollywood Studios. The girls are very excited about the new Star Tours ride and Toy Story Mania.
Some photos from today.
I never see Daisy in the parks so I was quite excited when I saw her on the way in. I didn't want to queue for a picture so stood from a distance. She saw me and inbetween greets she posed! Cute!
These are at rope drop and from a distance
Tonight at Outback. Both girls kept stealing DH's croutons from his salad whilst I was taking pictures. He never noticed until this one...
...and then everyone laughed! What great memories....
A couple of pictures of the food this evening. Sirlion Steak and Grilled Chicken.
We shared a Trio Plate Dessert. Cheesecake, Brownie and Carrot Cake - it was good....
.....as you can see......
Good Night. xxx
