I don't know what these flowers are. We saw them in a park while walking to some palaces.
Some old palace with a really cool island
Flowers in front of a pagoda-like building
There were a lot of people in traditional costumes at the old palace. I wish I'd known you could rent them. The costumes, not the people.
The western looking building in the background is part of one of the palace complexes in the city.
That's the entry to the Olympic Park from the 1988 Seoul Olympics. The day we visited, there were high school kids everywhere. We guessed that it was some sort of end-of-semester celebration.
This is a panorama I took from the Seoul Tower. You really get a sense for how enormous the city is from there. The metro area has about 26 million people! My wife and I walked up the hill to the tower. It was quite a walk. That ended up being our second consecutive day of walking more than 30,000 steps in a day. That's kind of a lot for me.
