Wow - this thread has grown and grown! So, to keep track of everyone, I created a list of who is going, when they'll be there, and where theyre staying. So, I give you...

THE LIST!!!

I’ve done my best to list everyone who has posted, and I’ve tried to update the ones where people have made changes. I will keep updating this as people post. Also, feel free to PM me for additions, changes, or corrections!

The # after each name is the # of their first post on this thread – it does NOT necessarily show the post with their most up-to-date plan. Since the DIS search feature stinks, I thought this would help in case anyone wanted to find someone who was going to be there at the same time as them. Just find that post number, click on their screen name, and then you can PM them if you like.

My OP:
OK, so I can't even book yet, but I'm planning for November 2008.

I've been to WDW several times, but it was a 13-year gap between my second-to-last trip and the last trip I made (in October with my family). Lots of pent-up Disney mania was finally realeased when DH and I took our DD and DS for their first every trip, and we all had an amazing time.

So, I've decided that we're going back in 2 years, just before DS turns 10 for a birthday trip. Then, we'll just have to go for DD's 10th (see, I have this all planned out...hee hee!). So, please come join me here, and we can plan and wait together. Post your plans-to-date! Mine are...

dates: November 1-8
resort: Pop Century (stayed there last time and loved it!)
dining plan: yes!
tickets: probably 8-day passes
transportation: fly down, DME, WDW busses

Well, these plans aren't official yet, (meaning I haven't yet convinced my husban), but I'm planning to go the second week of January 2008. Hopefully, my husband and I will be able to go for a few days without the kids, for a change. And, yes, I do feel a little bit guilty even as I type that!

Don't worry - no guilt allowed! That sounds like a lot of fun!

Oh, and for the record, my DH doesn't even know I'm planning this yet ! He won't mind, but I know he won't get into the planning like I do, especially this far in advance! (I think his exact words when I mentioned planning a trip for DS's tenth b-day were "OK, whatever you want to do, it's three years away." Um, OK honey, two years, but who's counting LOL!)

We just got back from a Dec 15-22 trip. It was a suprise trip and the first for our 3 kids. I am married to non Disney lover so it was a miracle we even went! I have been a bunch of times but this was my first trip in about 10 years. Let's just say it released the inner Disney Freak in me. I haven't been the same and can not shake this obsession. I think I have been on the DIS more since getting back than I was before and that is hard to believe!

Anyhoo, my DH goes on a very long (3 week ish) trip every March overseas for his job. Being left home single momming it with the kiddos is not much fun and has made March my least favorite month of the year. So I decided that in March 2008 while he is out exploring the world (different place each year, he works for a boarding school and this is a trip they do with some of the boys, this year Vietnam, last year it was Ecuador/Galapagos Islands, before that South Africa) the kids and I will go back to Disney since we loved it so much!

So I even just changed my ticker because although I haven't pinpointed my dates yet I am sure it will be the first week since I want to be gone when DH is gone.

I have not booked yet but the day after returning I emailed my TA and told her of my plans. She told me how the 08 rates were not back yet but that she'd let me know when they come out and get me some quotes.

My plan right now?

6 days/5 nights
5 day park hoppers
Dining Plan for sure
Either Pop again or maybe French Quarter
Fly down/Sunray Transportation to resort/Disney buses

So excited to start that countdown again, even if it is rather large!

I'll join the club! I hope to book a short trip for October '08. I have always wanted to stay in the Contemporary with a Magic Kingdom View, and I should be able to afford it for a long weekend.

Well, this is very tentative at this point, but DD would like to celebrate her 8th grade graduation with a trip to WDW during the summer of 2008. I doubt DH will want to go again (he's not big on Disney) and especially during the hot summer months.

DD would like to take a friend (if we can convince DD's best friend's parents)...so it will probably be just the girls and me (unless I can also get DD's Godmother to join us).

DD has never done the water parks and when we were in WDW for Christmas, she asked if we can come back in warmer weather and also visit the water parks....thus the idea for an 8th grade graduation trip began to develop.

So much time to plan......don't even want to think about a countdown clock on this one yet!

DH finally agreed to a 10th anniversary/his 40th birthday trip to WDW with the kids April/May 2008. We're waiting for registration for Kindergarten to talk to the teacher and get the best week to do this. I heard May is a great months to go, so I'm hoping for that.

I'm already researching restaurants to put on our ADR list.

Does anyone know information on Princess parties or something that the girls could go to? I heard of the pirate boat cruise and was wondering if there's something like that more for the Princess lovers?

When: May/2008

Tickets: 6 day park hoppers-We never go to the park on our last day of vacation. Usually it's the pool, DTD, or lounging in the room.
Dining Plan: Yes
Resort: POFQ-Done research and this seems the best for 4 and 6 year olds.

Going next year now-that got me excited too! We will join the madness!! Plans are Aug 6-15th 08 but I would like to move it up if possible. DD is bringing her best friend. It is hard to change when DD & friend do not get out of school until the end of May and softball starts the first part of June. Maybe we could brave July and go a month sooner!!

Resort: BWI Deluxe(hopefully) Concierge with a possible split stay at AKL or Poly for the first part of the trip.
Dining Plan: not this time--too much food!!
Tickets: 10 Day Park-Hopper and one day at Universal(1st time)

Our trip with my parents this past Nov/Dev was wonderful and they really enjoyed their first trip! I knew my DM would love it but I could not get over my DF's reaction-it was priceless. Now anytime there is a Disney special on TV he calls! They are hooked!

Oh yeah!!! I'm taking my DD exactly one year from today!!!! Tomorrow I will be able to say I'm going to the world in less than a year!!

Hi, we just took our first trip to WDW June 2006 ( it was ten of us). Now I'm planning for a 2008 trip. So far:March 20 - 29; stay at Pop Century; definitely the dining plan; and we are going to drive down in a motor home.

I can't wait until it's 2008!!

after our july 2006 trip, i began thinking about when we could go back to the world. i have tentatively decided on may 17-24, 2008, as long as it does not conflic with by little brothers college graduation. if it does, then i will be planning for mid august 2008. i am having sooo much fun planning again and i hope it gets here before i know it. having trouble deciding were to stay this time. there will be 5 of us, so our original choice of WL is out, because i cannot afford the delux room that sleeps 5. have fun planning everyone!

I am planning on going at the end of May. I have to wait for the school schedule for next year to come out to have my exact dates though. I am planning on staying at Pop. I don't know about the dining plan I'll decide that later. I can't wait.
