Posting Pix Question, please

Hi. Okay, I've figured out how to make a link to a Yahoo! photo album so that I can post pictures to be seen on The DIS (wanna get on the Wedding Thread on Community Board). However, in order to allow viewing of this link, I must make my album public for any and all, including people from Yahoo!

I also have a Picture Trails account but haven't played with that too much just yet.

Many people have their photos show up right in their posts with no links whatsoever. Is it possible for me to do that using either the Yahoo! site or the Picture Trails site? I looked at the photo site here on TheDIS and, frankly, it seemed too confusing to me, but perhaps I was tired that evening.

Any help/suggestions/advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

Tulirose, you should look at the links in MaryJo's thread at the to of the page, especially LisaTX's detailed instructions on making a DIS web site and follow the directions there. If you have trouble getting the password, post here, Lisa or someone will help you get the account. The GeoCities (Yahoo) site does not allow direct linking of photos anymore, but the DIS pages are perfect for that. Feel free to ask for help! It takes a little time but you will get it.

Thanks Teri for your help. Between Lisa's instructions and instructions found on the garden thread to shrink pix, I DID IT!
