I'm curious too... any news? and if you get "nope... no codes today" ask IF and/or WHEN generals may be available.

I hate to say this, but why do you ask? They don't really seem to have a clue. I am convinced they just say things to get folks off the phone LOL!

I can't even recall the number of CM told me threads that have turned out to be not correct.

You're right CarolA. It all depends on who you talk to & I have definately gotten the feeling that some CMs tell me what I want to hear just to get me off the phone.

I may be wrong, but don't you have to have the code to get a general code rate? That's not a rate they just give you if you don't have the specific code, is it?

The only time I have ever used a general code I had to tell the CM the 3 letter code. At first, I didn't say the anything and was given rack rate. I then told them the 3 letter code (the code that was valid for fall/2004) and all of a sudden I was quoted 55 US/nt (value resort, value season).

Darn you.
I had finally accepted the fact that there would be no general codes and I would be staying off-site for the first half of my trip. Now I'm going to have to start checking the boards 10 times a day for the next week. ;)

You could get a room at All Star during regular season for $88 using AAA discount, I think.

Hope to those who were waiting for general public discount codes room only......here is my abbreviated story....

1. Called to make ressies at CBR....no discount code for general public...room was 160 something with tax. I was told a PIN was attached to my name but for a 6 night room/ticket package but I didn't need a package.

2. Too much for me to spend this time around so I booked a hotel off-site for
69 a night...

3. Read a post here about the CRB being 79 a night with PIN code

4. I called back to CRO on 3/25/05, told them about what I read and told them what I was told the first time and they saw the pin, said I was told wrong info when I first called and I got the CRB standard room 79 a night!

I was estatic and was so relieve. So for those who are waiting or torn, give a call back and see what happens.

I am wondering if there might be something coming tomorrow or towards the end of the week here. This is all speculation but I'll share just in case. ;) It seems like fairly often right before a code "drops" thier systems are down for a while. This happened last night for a while and again this morning. Disney sends a weekly "newsletter" to travel agents on Tuedays and will sometimes announce special offers in this letter. My Disney rep made a rather cryptic comment the other day that has me wondering if something isn't set to happen this week. She knows I have to make arrangements for a sitter to take my kids to preschool on "code mornings" and made some comment about that. She wouldn't say anything else but the way it fit into the context of our conversation had me wondering.

So now I sit her anxiously awaiting my D-Mail letter and wondering if it might have news of some sort of code in it. :)

I'll let you know if it does.

I WANT TO TAKE MY COUSINS TO WDW BUT HAVEN'T BOOKED. I HAVE TO HAVE A CODE. I NEVER PAY FUL PRICE lol!!!!
:wizard:

Keep us posted, Lollipop Mom! I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting a code (as is everyone else!). The waiting game is killing me this time!

I have yet to get my D-Mail today either. I don't usually get it until late afternoon though.

Also, the AP/VA res rates came out on Wednesday a couple weeks ago.

Oh this is horrible! I am becoming so obsessed with the discounts. In between doing my daily household chores and picking up the kids from school and taking them to where they need to go. I run upstairs and check the computer to see if anyone has seen or heard anything on the discounts, that may or may not happen. I check all the different sites related to WDW for any new information. Oh the suspense is driving me nuts! I hope we do find out something very soon.

So who gets D-Mail? Just Disney Travel Specialists? Or all travel agents?

I'm leaving May 14th... and have already paid off my room. When is it too late to apply a discount (or when they will actually charge you to change your reservation?)

Same here. We are booked for CBR 4/14 thru the 21st, paid in full. Can I just call and see if there are any discounts available or attached to my name?? If so will they credit my account?
Thanks

Travel agents that have signed up for disneytravelagents.com and have agreed to be on their weekly mailings.

Just wondering...wouldn't April and May codes come out before this...or does Disney wait until closer to the date to see how full the resorts are before sending out codes?

I'm don't know much about travel marketing, so in my head I'd be thinking "Most people probably have their April/May trips booked/planned already so let's send out codes for June/July." But maybe Disney thinks "We need to get some more rooms booked in April/May, let's send out some codes."
