My youngest DS will not be tall enough for some of the rides. Do they offer a rider switch pass so DH and I can switch off watching our DS4 while the other rides with DS10?

I'd love to hear about this as well. My DD(6) is tall enough for nearly everything but we are also traveling with DS who will only be 20 mo at time of travel. I'm wondering if rider swap works the same as WDW which would allow DD to ride twice. Once with me and again with DH.

yes they do have rider switch. We just got back sunday from trip with our 2 year old and 5 year old. My daughter was so lucky because she got to do everything twice with no wait. We would use a fastpass and then tell them at front of line we wanted to do rider switch, so my husband and 5 year old would go, then we got rider switch to go fastpast line again and then i would go with her. and you can use it for up to three people and it can be used anytime that day. Pretty cool. They dont advertise parent swap, you just have to ask, and never a problem. I felt like my daughter got to do alot more since her bro was too little and we could let her ride everything twice. We also went to universal and they do that as well. Problem at universal was that you wait in a room in the ride area, so if baby sleeping it was a problem because you couldnt bring stroller. But at disney nice because they just hand you a ticket so I could go walk around with baby until my husband and daughter were done.

:thumbsup2 Great to hear! I will be in a similar situation with a 6 yo DD and 20 month DS.

Just wondering how I would ask for rider swap? What is it officially called there, and even better if someone could tell me how to ask in Japanese.

Rider swap is called "child switch" in TDR, so just say to the CM, "Child Switch Onegai Shimasu." Say the "child switch" part slowly and clearly so that the CM would understand it. "Onegai Shimasu" means "please."

But don't worry. Just smile at the CM, do a "switch" gesture pointing at your kids then you and your husband, then say "OK?" Then there shouldn't be any problem!! :-))

Thank you so much. This is a huge help!!!

I was searching about this online and happened to fall on this thread. For those of you who have used it, where do I ask for the child switch pass? At the entrance of the ride or once we are inside about to board? If it's only inside, can my husband go in on his own to ask so that I can wait outside with baby?

Thank you!

You can ask the cast member at the beginning of the queue or the cast member taking fast passes. If you show up with your partner and baby and say "baby swap" they will know what you mean. Not sure if you have other children but the rider swap can be for more than one person. Like my husband and daughter would ride while I waited with baby then I rode with my daughter while husband waited with baby. Our daughter got to ride everything at least twice :)

What do they give you? A special ticket?

The cast members have a notepad with a form that they fill out. It included the date and number of people permitted to use the pass. At a few attractions they told us we had to use the rider swap immediately after the first part of our group rode but the time was never enforced. Most of the time the rider swap allowed you to just use the fast pass line but at a few attractions we were escorted through the exit and cut the entire line.
