heck, not even that he couldn't match Rey (who, you could argue is so inherently strong in the Force that normal situations don't apply) - Finn held his own for a bit .... if Kylo was even half of what Vader was he would have wiped the floor with Finn
I have trouble with the idea of Luke being the villain in the end as the whole point of the original trilogy was him being tempted by the dark side but not succumbing to it, but rather able to get his father to turn back to the light. making him the bad guy now undoes all of that
I think Snope is the main bad guy - but not in a traditional "evil" sense ... more that he feels above everything
And the main goal of the story is that there isn't that all good vs all bad scenario in real life, that the original Jedi council was wrong in how they viewed things and power corrupted them, etc. ... Even in Luke's clothes you see him going from White to Black and now to Gray - and it the Gray Jedi that isn't really "the light" or "the darkness" but "so much more". And that Rey fits there too - that the balance of the force isn't good triumphing over evil, but a true balance or middle ground
