This group is not moderated by me, but a lot of the members of this thread have joined up! And it's a fun opportunity to chat with other Dec. 2015 planners who aren't DisBoards members! Feel free to join in the fun!

The moderator of that group has asked that I remind everybody of the rules there. They're pretty common sense!

1) We do not allow the discussion of how to get around Disney's rules. (lying about child's age etc.)

2) If you post a question or comment, expect all sorts of answers. Not everyone will agree with every post and that's okay. Keep it friendly. Be polite.

3) Don't pick fights. If you don't agree, voice it nicely, or simply ignore and move on. Personal attacks will not be tolerated. No name calling.

4) NO SPAM- this includes promoting any personal businesses unless you get permission from the admin first. No travel agencies advertising. Travel agents can NOT PM members either. If we catch wind of a TA pm'ing members without their request, you will be removed instantly. Some Disney related posts will be allowed but please pm admin first (such as selling Disney bows, dresses or providing helpful links for those looking to order customized items for the trip).

I am planning my second solo trip for December 4-11, 2015, at Port Orleans French Quarter, to celebrate my 35th birthday!

I will be at Pop Century in just 43 days from now, and hoping for a good Bounceback offer!

We're planning on December 13-23, 2015. Me, DH, and DD, who will be 4.5 yo. Hoping for a POR RR, since DD is princess crazy. Keeping fingers crossed for a free dining PIN so we can upgrade to DXDP.
DH and I last went over New Years 2009, and stayed at WL.
With our dates, we will be able to book on this coming Monday, so I'm all pins-and-needles!

Well hello there! Me (28), husband (28) and our son (currently 8.5) will be going December 1-13th, 2015. Husbands birthday is the 4th so Im hoping to surprise him with something. Right now we have animal kingdom booked for that day and were hoping to do a sitter and go out for some adult fun that night. However, what could put a snag in our babysitting plans are.. Were trying to get pregnant over the next month or two.. If it doesn't happen by November were putting it on hold so were not pregnant during our trip! Unfortunately our currently 5.5 year old daughter won't be able to accompany us as her mother won't allow her to go until she takes her the first time. (We each have a child from previous relationships). We haven't booked yet, were waiting until November to do so. Also should know by then if baby will be on board or not! Were looking at POR or ALK savannah view (buying points)! Can't wait. Son and I went back in January and we wanted hubby to go but he couldn't get the ex to agree to changing his weekends, and he's kinda anti disney. He's been so enthusiastic and happy tho helping me plan tho! Thinks I'm crazy planning this early tho!!

He wanted to do the cabins at fort wilderness at first but the price just wasn't cooperating. We also looked at AOA.. That's where the son and I stayed (split with all star movies) back in January (sons first visit).. He wanted AOA cause of the split master bedroom in the suites and liked the privacy aspect of it. Our son will be almost 10 when we go so that was defiantly a plus. Were hoping for the free dinning promotion but room only works too. We have no plans to buy the dinning plan, it just isn't worth it price wise for us.

Yay ! Add us to the list too! My family and I (my mom, stepdad, little sister, aunt, boyfriend, myself, and maybe my other aunt's family too) will be headed to the World from Dec 17-26. We might be staying until New Years but we'll see. We're currently looking at renting points to stay at a 2 BR at BLT, but if that doesn't work out then we'll be doing 2 rooms at either Poly CL or WL CL. My mom thinks I'm crazy for planning this already when I'm already going this year for my birthday. Well she's crazy for not being prepared! Yay ! Add us to the list too! My family and I (my mom, stepdad, little sister, aunt, boyfriend, myself, and maybe my other aunt's family too) will be headed to the World from Dec 17-26. We might be staying until New Years but we'll see. We're currently looking at renting points to stay at a 2 BR at BLT, but if that doesn't work out then we'll be doing 2 rooms at either Poly CL or WL CL. My mom thinks I'm crazy for planning this already when I'm already going this year for my birthday. Well she's crazy for not being prepared! I'm already planning for us to do a fireworks cruise and maybe an in-room celebration for Christmas Day.

We are going Dec 23 - Jan 2nd. At the moment we are going to book at Port Orleans RR. However after reading a few things we are thinking about renting points for AKL. I still have to do a lot of research on that though. I want to make sure we can get the dining plan and so on. We just went to WDW in June and fell in love and decided that we want at magical Christmas there. I thought I could book tomorrow but it says have to wait until 499 days from checkout date so will be booking on Aug 22nd. Do you think I am silly that I am chomping at the bit just to book our reservation?

Yayyy! We will be there Dec 16 or 17 (haven't decided yet) through the 27th. Probably going to rent points for AKV, but that could easily change ... many times lol ... as we get closer.

December 4-13 here, as a birthday celebration for ME for a change!! It will be my husband, younger daughter, my older daughter and her husband, and my two best friends We are getting three rooms at Pop Century!

We are going that week because 2 of the people going are accountants and it the dates fit between the 1st and 15th Also, since my actual birthday is the 22nd, I am avoiding the crowd!!

I am super duper bouncy excited already, and will be calling in Sept. for our reservations....and then fussing for the next year waiting for military room discounts to be released so I can rebook

It is going to be a crazy year...we are scheduled to PCS next summer, so I don't even know where we will be living when we go on this trip!

Shifted my dates a little, saved $400 by going I the 8th-18th instead of 13th-23rd. And crowd levels will be lower, to boot!

You're no sillier than the rest of us! The only reason I haven't booked yet is I'm waiting to see what kind of Bounceback offer I get next month. If it doesn't cover my dates, then I will be booking at rack rate shortly after I return from that trip, and then keeping my eyes peeled for other offers I might be able to switch to down the road! You're on the Roll Call for POR, just let me know if that changes!

You sound like me! I'm CONSTANTLY changing things... In the beginning, changing dates, changing resorts, changing itineraries... Then as it gets closer, changing ADRs, changing FastPasses, etc... Always tweeking my plans, never thoroughly convinced I've made the most awesome trip I can can yet!

Put you on the Roll Call for Animal Kingdom Villas for now, 12/16-12/27. I'm going to do my best to keep up with this thread and changes to peoples plans, but if I overlook something that needs to be updated when the time comes, just poke me!

That sounds AMAZING! My birthday falls on December 3rd, which is a Thursday, and I'll be driving down after work on December 4th, staying someplace cheap and close (there's a lovely Clarion in Kissimmee that I'm partial to) for that night, then checking in at POFQ early before hitting the parks on December 5th. I've been during my birthday week before, my last trip in 2009, and it's a WONDERFUL time to be there! The rates are cheaper and the crowds completely vanish! You and your family will love it!
