We Smelled It...It Had to be Eaten, Part II ... Ding, Dong, Done!!!

I'm jumping on board! I love your food reviews so I can't wait to hear more. ;)

I may lurk most of the time (new and a bit shy  ) , but I'm here, too.

LOVE the idea of a thread on the Community Board! :goodvibes I have thoroughly enjoyed the pre-holiday banter and recipes. That's a discussion I could really get into and might be able to come out of my shell and contribute a bit more. Hope you go for it! :cool1:

I've got a question for you fine people ....

Would you be open to the idea of my starting a thread on the Community Board where we can all continue to exchange recipes and non-Disney related food porn? Everyone could share pictures that way and we could encourage each other in our cooking endeavors and anything else that might come up along the way.

It would depend on you guys ... if you really would like to continue the food-loving momentum and cheer we had building before Christmas I'll be happy to start something and post a link here as well as in my signature.

All would be welcome ... :goodvibes

Let me know your thoughts .... I've got to go to the grocery store now (how ironic ... ).

B.

The very idea! A food porn thread w/Bendy and her fellow foodies?!? :woohoo: :woohoo: Methinks you'll have plenty of company.

Oh, and BTW, I think I gained 5 lbs checking out your photos! OMG, that food looked so good. Mmmmmm. (Got to go back and find the milk punch recipe for NYE....)

OK ... I've started a separate thread where we can talk about things other than Disney food. Hopefully this will work for everyone but please don't stop posting your comments here ... I really think the back and forth between everyone is what makes these threads so much fun, so I ask you all to help me keep things entertaining. :goodvibes

Here's the link to the other thread I started on the CB ... thanks to Whogirl'smom for the title!

Belly up to the Bar With Bendy and her Friendies!

Stop on by when you have a chance and let's see if we can't keep the off-topic food love going strong! :grouphug:

I lurves you all verrrrrry much! :grouphug:

Look for the Frenchie Lunch sometime tomorrow afternoon / evening ... I got distracted by the wii ... :rotfl2:

Wii wii, I can relate. (I have the Wii Fat...er...Wii Fit and use it!)

I wanted to comment on the old thread and found it closed. We're quite the chatty bunch. :rolleyes1 Mostly I wanted to know if I could share the brie with you. Yum.

I can't wait to see some actually EDIBLE food at the French Regional Lunch.

Signed on for the rest of the adventure.

Since I will now be doing eight days on the DDP in September, I'm especially looking forward to your Artist Palette and Citricos reviews, as these are being considered for our 'special' meals.

Jackie...

Bendy's food reports should come with a warning... They are very addicting... but good for our health... ;)

I love the title... I guess that means we get to talk booze too???

Besides... I can't believe you got shut down... we WERE talking about food (sort of...) :rolleyes1

Ya know ... it just hasn't been my month when it comes to posting reviews.

I just lost the entire Regional lunch post when I tried to upload ... the friggin window just shut down. :headache:

So ... now I've got to go back to the draft and start over. So, guess who ain't posting a review again tonight? And unfortunately I'm back at work tomorrow all day so if I'm lucky I can try to upload it tomorrow night.

I wonder if I can talk my employer into getting me new laptop? This one has obvious issues aside from those caused by the user.

Do you do it in Word or whatever you have and then copy and paste it??? Just as long as you don't copy something else...you're usually safe... (Well, that's my secret to less stress... now where's those nestle crunch bars???)

This has happened to me a few times on this board and it's a total pain - especially when you've just typed out a long recipe!
Now if a post is going to be long, I always do it in Word first so I have it saved in another spot.

I loved all your Christmas food photos and am so impressed by your cooking skills. Just the thought of the cream cheese ice cream has me drooling all over the keyboard. I think I'll give that recipe a try!

Looking forward to the rest of your reviews.

And to Tatania re: the alcohol thing--you should have been there for the political discussion that erupted thanks to my smart *** husband!

I would've loved to have been there. Nothing more fun than a political discussion - especially when you know the other side's position has no historical basis.
This summer I visited some of the monasteries in Europe that make their own liquers. The one in Ettal is very good and of course, everybody knows about the Benedictine monks (around since 550 AD) and their wonderful talents in making alcoholic beverages. The Benedictines were one of the strictest orders and made a considerable contribution to the spiritual life of the West. Obviously they saw nothing wrong with alcohol. :rolleyes1:

Eeeek at losing the review, B! I have bad computer mojo, too.

Tatania, you are officially invited to Christmas dinner at MIL's next year. You will be seated next to dear BIL! :rotfl2: :goodvibes

I'm in and already bellied up to the bar :lmao:

Laptops are :badpc: mine just came down with some security issue. I think spybot took care of it but it's still not running right. Time for a new one!

Looking forward to more reviews!

I'm back from our latest round of Christmas (with, literally, a funeral thrown in) and following all the bunny trails to your new posts! :thumbsup2

Hello Brenda,

It feels good to be back! Your posts always get us geared up for our EAT TIL YOU DROP Vacations! Tell us more tell us more! Enquiring minds need to know! :cool1:

Good evening ... I don't have it ready to post tonight unfortunately.

Still had PT (my last session is tomorrow ... hooray!) and a few other things to take care of.

thanks for the kind words and in response ... I am one of those really bad people who actually waits to be brained by her muse and then I sit down and type the reviews up as I go using the pictures, my notes, and an admittedly sketchy memoory to spur me on. If the muse headache leaves mid-post then I do copy over to word and finish the review in bits and pieces until I feel like it's good enough to post.

I am my own worse enemy it seems. I only had a portion of the review saved in word and the best of what I'd written yesterday got sucked into the black hole. My fault for not being more careful. :confused3

Sorry ... I sure feel like I'm doing everything wrong around here this month.

Aren't you glad it's all over on Wednesday???

So if you changed the cruise... are you still doing F&W next year??? I missed out on this one and I'm hoping to make it next time...and I wouldn't want to have to try to eat enough for all of us... :upsidedow

October 2009 cruise = canceled

October 2009 F&W Fest = 9 or 10 nights of Bendy and Jay celebrating a certain someone's 40th birthday at WDW ... :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

October 2010 = no vacation because of the September 2010 Transatlantic cruise we've booked.
