We're Here! Live TR

Don't mind the walk at all it will save us tons of $.4 adult and 1 child eating onsite every night is a fortune.we stayed at SSR and loved the quiet pool and have booked a water/lagoon view fir YC .originally fancied a lagoon view but now I'm thinking it would be good to just walk out to quiet pool.as fir pics was just wondering about view and location of your room. I have seen a few really bad reports about the rooms being really tired at YC ,is yours ok? :-)

Personally if I had paid all that money for a water view I would want a lagoon view although this view is lovely. Ill take some photos tomorrow for you. I have read mixed reviews about the rooms. I have to say I can't fault ours at all, there are no scuffs, all the furniture is in perfect condition, you would think it has recently been done. It's gorgeous.

Wednesday 21st - we got straight on a bus to MK (When Tom finally woke up!) Tom was amazed by Main Street then we headed to space mountain, there was hardly any queue and it was fun flying round in the dark. We had a FP for Toy Story and I beat Tom! Woohoo!
ac36e6b0caa4802c2fb0b783ce8fa12f_zpsb342e0ef.jpg

Then we went to the Monsters inc Laugh Floor, which was really funny. We left Tomorrow Land to go to POC which was ok. Our third FP was for Big Thunder Mountain but it was closed, we were told we could come back any time later on. We carried on wandering around and decided to have lunch at BOG we only had to wait 15 mins and they had umbrellas to provide shade. We loved this experience and all for a QS credit. I had the croque monsieur followed by a strawberry cream cheese cupcake. Tom had the turkey sandwich and a chocolate cupcake. The food was gorgeous. The cupcake was the probably the best cupcake I've had.
Forgot to mention Tom had spilt water on my phone which leaked into the camera! Thankfully it's dried out now and the camera is working again!
We then went on Splash mountain which was fun and its quite a long ride. We decided to leave MK and go swim in SAB. Then it was time to get ready to go to DTD for our ADR at Planet Hollywood. We both liked the atmosphere and the food was good. I had the chicken fajitas and then chocolate ice cream and Tom had the New York strip steak then ice cream too, we were too full to eat anything else.

We wandered round the shops and collected our gift card in WOD. We decided to get the boat to POFQ and then the bus back to MK. POFQ was a lovely looking resort. We went straight to Big Thunder Mountain which was fun to ride in the dark but we also got to see the fireworks as we were flying round, it was amazing! We stood and watched the rest of the fireworks then got a Starbucks and came home :)

Another lovely day, you are fitting plenty in :)

We like Planet Hollywood too and are going back again in October. It's always a fun night and the food isn't bad either!

Thursday 22nd - We were up early for our reservation at Cape May Cafe. I was a bit apprehensive that we might find the experience a bit awkward with the characters seen as we are two adults but it was really fun. We saw Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck, we got their autographs and had photos taken. The food was good too plenty of choice, the potatoes were good but my favourite were the Mickey waffles! It was quite relaxed and wasn't too busy, plus it was handy just walking to BC next door.

I had made a morning FP for TT at Epcot but we decided we wanted to go to go a water park so I went on the MDE app and changed the time. The whole magicband FP thing is working a treat, it's great. We got ready and went to the bus stop and decided to get on the first water park bus that came. That was Typhoon Lagoon (My favourite). We got a great spot overlooking the wave pool and then went on all the rides! Crush n Gusher were our favourites. Oh and for the women I'd suggest wearing a swimming costume not a bikini for the big slides! Haha.
A thunder storm came and we were made to get out of the lazy river so we went to Leaning Palms. We weren't that hungry so shared a bacon cheeseburger and a choc chip cookie. That cookie was delicious.
We got the bus back and then walked to Epcot. We went on TT again then Soarin, then got the boat over to Germany as it was spitting and walked to Japan for our ADR at Teppan Edo. We loved it there. The atmosphere was really good, the food was so yummy and it was fun. We both had the filet mignon and I had the chocolate ginger cake for dessert, Tom had the ice cream.
We walked around the world and stopped on the bridge between England and France to watch the fireworks, which were good. It's great being able to just walk back to the YC.

No negatives about our magicbands at all, they are so convenient, specially at the waterparks. They work so well. POFQ was quite quaint and romantic :) I didn't even try get a BOG ADR but wanted to try it for lunch. I would definitely go back and as I said we didn't have to wait long. The food came out really quickly as well and because we have magicbands they use those to locate where you are say to bring your food. Tom just emailed me some BOG pictures we took on his phone(Minewas recovering from him spilling water on it!).

Loving your report! That's the same chef we had at Teppan Edo in December! He was so much fun!

The food at BOG looks lovely - makes me realise it doesn't matter if we can't get an ADR as we can just do lunch instead :)

POFQ is our favourite resort - have so many beautiful pictures taken there before I went to the Boardwalk on my wedding day <3

Yes, he kept us entertained, throwing shrimp tails in the air and catching them in his hat, juggling his cooking utensils and generally throwing everything about whilst making jokes. Thank you for reading.

I personally think its better value for lunch, you get to experience the atmosphere, wander about the rooms and good food with real plates and cutlery all for a QS credit :)
We saw them setting up for a wedding on the boardwalk this morning, it was so pretty and such a lovely location.

You will love the yacht club, it's amazing. So many positives, our room is spotless, the decor is a million times better in real life than you see on the photos, the shop has loads of merchandise, the pool is fun and the slide is great, but its also good to come for a swim in the quiet pool and you get it to yourself most of the time. The location is perfect, Epcot is about 7 minutes walk, Hollywood studios is 15 mins. The boardwalk is on your doorstep, so there are lots of dining options around you. We love it.
Room view (Left, straight on and right).

I'll have to do yesterday's report later because I need to get ready for discovery cove!! :)

Thanks Linda and Mrs Doubtfire, we have both said we want to stay at this resort again one day, I feel so at home here!

Friday 23rd - We had a lazy morning and when we finally got up we went for a walk around the boardwalk, we went to the boardwalk bakery for breakfast then headed to SAB. We were joined by a few ducks who then went swimming in the pool! It was really hot, we decided to go for a quick dip in the quiet pool before going to HS for our ADR at Sci-Fi. We walked to HS which took 15 minutes.

We had to wait a bit for our ADR as it was so busy. We were hitchhikers in the back of a car. We both had the Angus chuck burger which we enjoyed. We were too full for desert so we asked if we could have a milkshake instead, our server said that was no problem so we both got the Oreo cookie one. This was the best milkshake I have ever had! It was amazingly good!

We then went on star tours which was ok, we went to go watch the lights, motor, action show, we sat there for over half an hour before they announced it was cancelled due to inclement weather (Which never actually appeared). TSM had a 85 minute queue so we decided to save it for next time, we went on RnR and ToT which were good fun.
Then it wartime for Fantasmic, this was miles better than I remembered, we had a FP for preferred viewing so we were sat in the section in the middle which was great.

Saturday 24th - We got a taxi to Discovery Cove, it cost $30 plus tip. We had our complimentary entry photo taken then went for breakfast. We went to get our wetsuits and snorkels then found a great spot in the middle of the park where we could watch the dolphins, it was also close to the bar/food area and the toilets! We went to the aviary first to feed the birds, we read that it's best to go early so they're still hungry but there were quite a lot of people there. We went in the lazy river, it's 8ft deep in certain places!
2c6c838878d30bcafbd71f30098244d5_zps7d94fc85.jpg

We went to relax on our sun beds, reading and having a few drinks, it was nice to not be unending around he parks. Then we went to swim with the stingrays which was my favourite bit although the water is cold. I was a bit panicky though when swimming over the really deep sections so I stayed near the entrance mainly. I took some photos with the waterproof disposable camera I bought from Sainsbury's for £7.50, you can buy them at DC for $19.99.
We went swimming over at the lazy river section and saw the marmosets and otters too before going for lunch. I had the teriyaki chicken and Tom had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich, both were good.
We went to relax again but then a huge thu dear storm came so everyone had to get out of the water. We both went for a shower and waited for the lightening to stop before leaving. We did enjoy DC and I'm glad we went but we wouldn't want to go every year.

We caught the free shuttle to SeaWorld then got the lynx 50. The original plan was to get off at DTD for some dinner at WPE but we weren't hungry so we got off a TTC and took the monorail to MK. We hired a locker for all our stuff which was $12 but you get $5 back when you return the key.
We had an amazing night at MK, we went on space mountain, toy story, then Splash mountain. Just as we were getting to the last section of splash mountain before the big drop, the ride got stuck! We were waiting a while before they sent CM's to rescue everyone. We had to climb off and then walk off the ride, it was actually quite fun having a behind the scenes tour! We saw out the back where they keep the parade floats too. We got a free FP for any ride at MK to use before the 31st.

We quickly grabbed some food at Peco Bills before going to our preferred viewing FP for the electrical parade. They section off a large area right in front of the castle, it was great! We also had preferred viewing for Wishes at the Rose Garden. I loved the light show on the castle, I thought that was amazing. Wishes was amazing too and tinker bell flew over our heads :)
