Read, wrote short stories, did homework for other classes, imagined the ways in which I could present the "boring" material in a more interesting manner, did various PT exercise that could be done while sitting (in college after an injury), and occasionally slept, though I'd try not to do that last one during a lecture.

I would get in trouble for reading a lot. Eventually I smartened up and just started writing my own stories. It made me look busy.

I used to do homework from other classes. Most of high school, I rarely came home with any homework because I had finished most of it in other classes.
