Wow, mandatory weekly contribution? Unbelieveable!!! Our church isn't nearly as bad as that. And yes, we get the little fundraisers along the way too, but most of them end up in the trash!

Yup. We just got the "you've been naughty note" telling us to get caught up X amount for the weeks we missed. Seriously.

Judy's right. My DS10 went 'stargazing' up there one night. So we may need a backup plan for this nights.

My DS10 went stargazing too........gosh our 2 families were right under each otheres noses. There were not many at the stargazing either......

Day 6 of my icebound captivity. Really hoping to get out of the driveway. Have a bizarre craving for donuts after the talk of Polish fried dough last night. Check to make sure I wasn't only dreaming that the Tag Fairy visited. Yup, she was here, and she was ticked off at me. Oh, well, wasn't like she was using that space anyway....

We get about the same sort of break in tuition, but have a mandatory weekly offering contribution to maintain the "in-parish" rate.

Then there's the 2 mandatory fundraisers, and the endless little fundraisers in between.

Volunteering is optional.

I almost wish we had your set-up instead. I feel like our way makes it too easy for parents to feel like it's enough to just send money.

Wow, guess we got it easy.

Our church doesn't have a school, but they want the children to get the religous education, so they will pay the difference between the Member and Non-Member rates at a different church's school.

We are not required to make any minimum contributions to the church (however we chose to give substantially more now) and we're not required to do any volunteering (but if we're asked, we step up now). Guess you can call it guilt.

OMG I finally figured it out. I have been trying for weeks to get that darn banner added to my siggy. I did it . I really did it. I am not good with this computer stuff. So this is one heck of a milestone . Lois
