Here is Lily's Valentine's dress. It is the portrait peasant dress pattern from YCMT made into the rumba dress version. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Yes, there are a lot of ruffles, but unlike a twirl skirt, they do not get bigger. They are all the same width so each layer I had to gather was not that large. These are the 4" ruffles. The (reversable) headband is from the free YCMT pattern you get when you sign up for their newsletter.

Lily looks like a doll baby in this awsome dress. I love the fabrics, and the boots just make the whole outfit. Way 2 go!

That's so cute. I love it.

I got a surprise call on friday to spend the weekend (at WDW) with some VERY dear family members. (I did not even have time to "whip up" some customs LOL) So my DD wore her "regular" clothes lol

my DD had a WONDERFUL time with her cousins, and the all looked so cute waking through the park in their outfits. We stopped traffic several times lol.

Also as requested her is one of the outfits I made for DD'd Bitty Twin

I made DD5 and DD4 dresses out of the blue Mickey winter fabric. I want to make DS2 a matching shirt. I bought him a white shirt with gray sleeves. I'm planning on appliquing a picture from the fabric. Problem is, I don't know which one to use. Here are three different pics.

Goofy looking....(He really likes Goofy & Mickey)

Donald & Mickey sled riding and Goofy looking for them...

Donald & Mickey throwing snowballs and Goofy looking for them...

I also had the sled pointed down heading towards Goofy and him looking straight, so he didn't see them. I don't need to use two pics on the shirt. I can use one. I can put one on the back. Speaking of the back, I had Goofy going around the side of the shirt, but he wasn't big enough to pull it off. Any other suggestions?

Not all for Leigh, I have a friend that is taking her three little girls to Disney in less than two weeks. I am trying to get three matching outfits done for her as a surprise! Hopefully she doesn't read this thread, or the surprise is over!
But, the other is for Leigh.
I tried the red roses on the dress. I am not sure... I think that I will stick with the yellow striped ones, and be done with it!.. LOL

Probably what I would do too! Leave it alone and move on.

How nice of you to do outfits for your friend. That is fantastic. Three of them too! I am certain they will love them since we all love all of your things. What lucky little girls!

So cool that you got to spend time with family! Glad you had a great visit. Your DD is GORGEOUS as always! I'm sure she did stop the crowds! Love the bitty baby clothes too!

Your boy is a cutie-I like his longer hair. I am thinking of letting ds hair grow out a little- I have been trimming it on the back, sides and front but I am kinda liking it being longer- although my grams is having a fit and making comments every time we see her. :sad2: And I think he does resemble sawyer- they are both little cuties!!!

Thanks to everyone about the comments made about blake. I think hes pretty cute too. He has just started to give kisses, and although they are a little too wet, its still very cute. Blakes hair grows so quickly, he was born with a head full of hair and never seemed to loose it. That pic was taken on his 1st b-day and he is now 15 months and he has already had 4 haircuts in his short life, each time a large amount of hair was cut off.

My nanna is still alive, she is 83 and has 9 great grandchildren, 4 of them mine. But my eldest, jayden whos 8, (yes i have a jayden too, although mines a boy) was her first great grandchild so i was constantly picked on my her about how he looked, from his hair to clothes to what i fed him.

We HAD elefun- but my little genius figured out how to take the nets apart so then of course the nets are now missing!! and trying to keep track of the butterflies :headache: I can understand why you didn't want to buy it!! Hope he had a fun time at the party!! QUOTE]

We HAD elefun here a few years ago too. My mum brought it for my dd when she was 3 (shes now 6) . I didn't really want it, i knew those little butterflies would get lost within days, and i was right! Our elefun use to blow out the butterflies all at once, not at a continuous rate like they show on the ad, so the game was over in 30 secs.

I didn't like this dress the way it was so I changed it up a bit. I like it better now.

This is the fabric that I bought to make a very special dress for DD.
CIMG0484.jpg

And this is what I created with it.
CIMG0493.jpg

And this is the back and the reason that I broke 2 sewing needles.
CIMG0494.jpg

DD's holding her arms funny in the pic and you can't see the bow very well but it has a double layer bow at the bottom of the zipper. DD also says that it has a great twirl factor to it.

Beautiful dress! I love to fabric combination.

My life has gotten so much easier today. I finally bought an appliqué presser foot! Where has this tiny piece of plastic been all my life? It truly makes appliquéing so much easier. I got 4 medium size Mickey heads done in no time and they don't look half-bad.

Here are my 4 terrors just before xmas 07, we were on our way to have a photo with Santa. Starting form Jayden 8, Ash 3, Tahlia 6 and of course Blake.

I done the elf on Blakes o/alls, and i made a skirt for each of the girls, but jay didn't want me to make him anything as apparently he is too old

Here is Tahlia modelling the skirt i made, it looks much prettier IRL as it is all sparkly and you can see more of the white under skri, which also has sparkles. I think it is the way she is standing, because you actually do see alot more of the under skirt and you can see the gathers better to.

Just wanted to post a pic of the fabric i brought off :wizard: a while ago. I was planning to make the girls some summer dresses, although seeing we already in summer here, i am running a little late.

Here are the princess, although it looks like poor snow white has been stung by a bee or had a food allergy or something because her face looks quite puffy!

Here is tinkerbelle, or has my dd3 calls her, twinklebelle. I am positive that the blue one has been shown here by someone eles.

Very pretty!! I love that ycmt pattern! Whaere did you get the fabrics?

Ok, one more post and then i have to take my 4 children shopping for back to school supplies.

I try to avoid going shopping with the children (well to be honest, just my 3yr old) because as soon as we get out of the car they all run in different directions! I usually look like a mad woman chasing the kids through the store yelling at them to come back/ stop touching/ etc! One day i am going to be carted off to hospital britney spears style, but not becuase i wont give my kids back, but because i will be begging absolute strangers to take them!

This may seem a little over dramatic, but i will fill you in on what my mother and i call 'The many adventures of Ashley' this afternoon. My mother thinks i should write a book about her and the constant 'mischief' (to put it nicely) see gets up to.

My oldest 2 are on summer holidays here and go back to school end of jan to start a new year of school. We have a 6 week summer holiday over xmas and then 3 more holiday breaks throughtout the year, usually lasting for 2 weeks.

After all the talk about webkinz on the site, i had to go ahead and buy them for my kids for xmas. Webkinz are not sold here yet, so i brought them off :wizard: . We have had some bad weather here lately with a few cyclones near by, so the kids have been stuck inside. To keep them entertained i suggested that we make the webkinz some clothes out of fabric scrapes.

Here is jaydens tiger, named Moon-

Here is Tahlias pony named Star-

And Ash got a bunny webkinz named, wait for it... Bunny. Unfortunately i am too embarrassed to post a pic of Bunny, because she is still naked!

Our daughters must be twins...we went to Walmart yesterday to pick up the pillowcase, and wound up with all three, the Tink, Mermaid, and Cinderella. Unfortunately the girls were with me and now Tink and Cinderella reside on their pillows..I managed to keep the Mermaid.
But they too have the ringing bell syndrome. ding *cringe* Ding *cringe* DING DING DING *okay...that's it....Mommy's gonna lose it**;)

Bell? What bell? Our WalMart doesn't have a bell in the fabric section. If there's no one there, you just have to wait an hour or so for someone to show up. Or, search the store for someone to find someone to help you. By the time you do that, there are 3 other people waiting and they go in front of you because you left the fabric department to find someone to help.

Whoo hoo! We went to costco and I got the new brother machine today. I totally do not need it but what the heck. I have an old brother from walmart that I never touch and the big disney embroidery/sewing machine which is a dream, but now I have one that I can easily take with me wherever I go! I am so excited!

Okay, now your just bragging! ;)

They are in the bedding section! It is so funny that the pillowcase applique has become a "trend"!LOL I can't believe I started something that other people actually thought was a good idea!:rotfl:

Yeah, your trend has even made it to Michigan! I went to WalMart and looked for the princess pillowcase today. There are all sorts of princess sheet sets (probably 8 or so), but not a single princess pillowcase!! There were Ariel pillowcases, though. I'm thinking I should have got one.

Ok, here it is!

While I was sewing DD took the time to dress herself up.

He just keeps getting more handsome!!! What a cutie! I love that he shakes his presents to see if they're lego. Too funny! The penguin cake is really cute and so is the cupcake. Elefun is a great game. I'm thinking I should get it for the kids one of these days.

Thank you! My pediatrician called this afternoon with test results and informed me she has aednovirus! It is a virus that infects all of your membranes! This is why she has an ear infection, pink eye, a sinus infection, and running very high fevers! Pretty scary considering there is NO meds for it. Just has to run its course! Her eye is so bad that she woke up this morning and it is black! She looks like she has been in a fight! Thanks for the hugs, she needs them! Sorry to ramble, but please if everyone doesn't mind saying a little prayer for her, I would really appreciate it! I'm hoping she heals quickly and my DD4 stays well as this virus is HIGHLY contagious!
Oh my goodness, the poor little thing. I will definitely pray for her, and for her worried mommy.

I am trying to come up with a cake design for ds BD cake- He is having a "cars" party but in the evening they are going to Monster Jam- So I was thinking of having a race track around the edges and having a "dirt" infield with some cars being driven on by a monster truck. So here is my questions- What should I use to make the race track and the dirt and what to separate the two?? What works best for dirt- colored frosting or brown sugar or cake or something else?? I have no idea what to make the race track out of!! Any suggestions appreciated!! :goodvibes There may be some practicing going on- I bet dh and the kids will "hate" that :lmao:
Good morning....

Here's the cake I made for Sawyer's first birthday. I used crushed regular oreos mixed with crushed vanilla oreos for the "dirt". The road is just the regular chocolate oreos. I cut up some malted milk balls for rocks.

Here he is eating it. I couldn't resist sharing!

I have been reading and not posting, still sick and crummy feeling. I did manage to go to Walmart and buy upolstery thread but the ruffler foot keeps coming off the arm. The hook thing I mean. I am going to give up and hand ruffle tomorrow.

I will go back and make appropriate comments at all the cute outfits and kids tomorrow I promise. The kids go back to school!   (definitely a three banana minimum)
